Hello all, quick ?...I have paid through rom manager premium through the market...but it wont download. Goes to the loading screen and hangs up. I can dl any other app it seems like. Trying to get on premium for cm7 nightlies. I've cleared market cache and data...no luck.

if you are try 3g and see if that works.
I've tried both. No luck. Reverted to an older market version. All other apps download fine...although this new market is sure buggy.

Ok I factory reset my wife's phone. On the sc 2.9.2 Rom and the weird thing is. How come the market app is not included on it? I reinstalled the Rom but still no market app... How am I suppose to redownload apps? Any idea why its not there or included.? Thx guys

Sounds like you just had a bad install. The market is included with every ROM
Yea you can just get the market app and pop it in but if its missing even after reflashing the rom then i would be concerned that there could be other issues unseen. If it was me i would redownload the rom, fact reset, wipe all cache and start fresh just to be safe.
Yea. I redownload the Rom. Works fine. But I noticed that this Rom doesn't come with a stock wallpaper or is this another bad download lol. Market is back just black background. But its a simple fix wasn't sure if its like that for a reason.

My app is forgetting my name and pass. Every time I open twitter it asks too. I'm running sc 2.9.2 and nitros honeycomb theme. Any ideas on what's going on? Could a new kernel cause this?

Are you running a theme that includes the apps you're trying to update? If the apps reside in /system/app, you probably can't update them properly, and it could also be why they aren't storing data properly.
I go to the market and it says server error and only has test apps what to do?

What rom are you running? Have you tried to reseting your phone?
Bionix v rebooted it still not working don't even bring up my apps only test apps

I'm having the same problem. I'm on Trigger and all of a sudden get the message "Warning: Your device may not be compatible with the Android Market" and I don't see any of my apps installed in the market.
Just updated google maps and rom manger then went back to the market and nothen but test apps still don't show my apps

I have a problem today running Miui saying that "your device maybe not be compatible with android market". I did a search and use some of the fixes and it still has the same error.
If I odin back and can't download titanium backup or download manager, would I be stuck with 2.1 if the market fails?

Ok so if several of us are having the problem then it seems like there is a problem with the Android Market. Out of cusiosity do your phones have a legit IMEI or do you have the corrupted IMEI of 004999010640000?
Mine is corrupt after unlocking my phone.
Fixed mine.. I just flashed back to stock, rerooted, downloaded root explorer, deleted all the market apps. Such as vending.apk. And downloadmanager.apk.. Not for sure what all there is, i had to look up... But i deleted those and then odin'd back to stock again. Worked for me

Hi guys,
I'm facing a problem with downloading apps from the Market.
First of all, I'm on rendeiro's froyo rom.
After one of my last reboots, I missed like 50% of my apps (probably the ones installed on sd card). When I looked in the Market, I saw that particular apps in 'my apps' as not installed. When I look in my phone I can see them in my settings, but my phone can't identify the size and that stuff. I also can't see them in my app drawer.
Anyone has the solution to my problem. Thnx in advance

Which froyo ROM of Rendeiro2005 is it? That way I can help you better.
My solution is you reflash the ROM on xrecovery first. Sounds like a little glitch in the first time you flash.

First try a different sd card to see if it your current one is a bad one.
I only try sandisk micro sd cards
Then try........
Try starting over with flashtool with flashing 2.1 se firmware again. Do you know how do that?

This happened to me when I restored a backup through xrecovery after about a week cos my latest tinkering caused a bootloop. All the apps that I had updated that week were gone just like yours, but only SD ones. Its cause the part held on SD no longer matches the version on phone. I just opened appbrain and synced and they all showed to update again, so I did and they all came back. Might not be same for you but hope this helps.

Just download appbrain from market, I use it more than market itself, really handy interface as you can choose to skip updates on apps and other cool features.

Try and flash the newest version of the market via recovery, you can find the zip on the opening page of wolfbreaks v006 thread in dev section. If that don't work then I guess its time for a fresh start. Good luck.

Download a new rom zip from the dev section using your phone and then boot to recovery. Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache etc. Do it twice lol. Then flash your zip. Backup what you got first tho cos it might go wrong. Try market and connection to PC on a fresh rom. That's what I'd do but I am not qualified to tell you what to do!

I found it, thnx. Now I flashed back to standard 2.1 software. My market works with this version, but as soon as I install any custom rom it doesn't work anymore. Does anyone know what's the problem?

Just installed a Miui rom. Just love it but the market also doesn't work on this one. Howcome the market works on stock rom but on none of the custom roms?
Pretty self explanatory just ses downloading and never gets to a percentage running darkside then switched to honeglow but worked before on both and now still not working on either nothing has changed at all and its really frustrating any ideas

Troubleshooting Android market issues
Clearing the cache and data for the market app are probably the first things to try.
Which market are you using?
Roll back to the previous version, and give it a try.
Settings -> market -> uninstall updates
If that works, then you can stay on the previous version by freezing the "market updater" by using Titanium Backup...
