Not a lot of ram in x10 so it becomes an issue..
What launcher are you using? Some have an option to set as memory persistent

Use a Launcher, with less RAM usage.
Also, widgets use a lot of RAM.
Zeam is a minimalistic launcher.

Just switch to another launcher before you delete it
I wouldn't completely delete it, though so at least you have a fallback
Ok so iho does not come with a native launcher like asop?

No ADW is the "system" launcher of this rom.
IIRC in the rom thread there is a link to the stock launcher.
If thats what your looking for. Otherwise install another and just uninstall ADW dont delete it. Deleting it without uninstalling can cause problems.
Ok thanks I will look for the stock launcher

What is the problem with ADW? I have been using it with IHO and don't see any problems with it. ADW is better than the stock launcher. If you don't want to use the additional features, you can configure just like the stock launcher. I would leave it alone instead of dealing with going back to stock launcher after every ROM update.
I personally don't have a problem with adw I jus wanted the feel to be as close as possible to gb

Hi im using minicm 2.1.8 naa-10 and I was wondering?
Does zeam launcher leave less of a ram footprint than the adw that comes with minicm??
Its because I was reading through a blog going on bout heavy-weight launchers with light-weight launchers and adw came under the heavy-weight and zeam with light-weight I know myself that zeam was light but is the adw that comes with minicm or any other cyanogen rom lighter than zeam and still little footprint on ram????
Im very curious about this lol

Zeam is as light as it comes.

So all the interactive widgets which for example include scrolling are pretty sluggish for me. For example the social hub widget or the e-mail widget (or the one 2do includes). It feels a bit slow and is pretty stutter-ish. Is this normal or...?

Bump. Can anyone just say wether this is the case fot them or not?

scrollable widgets are mainly dependent of the launcher you use, so try using different launcher, that should solve your issue.

I don't want to use another launcher.. I just want to know wether this behaviour is normal or not..
No this behavior is not normal, they were working perfect on gingerbread, now they redraw themselves very often on ICS. I think they need updating to use ICS scrolling capabilities natively because so far they use the open source library from Launcher+.

Finally took the plunge and ran the update from 2.2.1 to 2.3.3, really happy with it so far, although have noticed at times it is laggy (mostly at screen lock/unlock and app open/close), is there any fix for that? Im not rooted (and don't plan on rooting). It didn't lag in 2.2.1 like it does now

Nope, no live wallpaper. Using stock launcher (plan on switching to a 3rd party launcher at some point) with a normal wallpaper.

I would recommend zeam launcher then. It's quick and lightweight
