Hi, 'cause of bootloops I flashed p7500xxki1 with Odin; could not find a proper description for this rom with P7500:
Took the only .tar file I had in Odins Bootloader, PDA, Phone: Flash took long and booted fine, but no Sim Card recognition.
Then flashed again, same file and CSC added, flash is done in 3 seconds, device booted up, no Sim card again.
Then changed CSC to XEU with tool from Market, did factory reset. Kies says CSC:KI1(XXX)
Still no Sim Card, no 3g connection.
any idea? regards, opeter
Flashed over Broodcomb_XXKI1, but only step 1, means Original firm XXKI1. Brings back the Sim Card recognition. regards -PETER

I have never flashed a mod on this phone
Intro: Was using the phone and reading articles. Pressed the home key to switch between windows but the screen froze. I depressed the power button until the phone rebooted again. Phone has rebooted but now a No SIM insert SIM card message is now visible.
I have tried:
restarting the phone: No sim message still appears
removing the sim card and reinserting sim card: no Sim message still appears
Placing a thin piece of paper between sim card holder and sim (in case metal surfaces were not touching properly) : no sim message still appear
replacing sim card with another sim card from a family member's phone : no sim message still appears.
My other options are formating the phone?
Sending phone in for repairs?
any other suggestions?
Please help i take really good care of my phone. First time anything like this has happened.
I have looked at other posts but they all have some customized mod or have remedied their situation with a procedure that did not work for me.
Backup data then factory reset.
jje
Update:
Factory reset phone via volume up+home+power key. Then selected factory reset
Phone reset but still "no sim insert sim card" error persists.
Update on sim being used:
Sim used on my phone is detected and usable on another family member's phone
Family member's sim will not work on my phone: "no sim insert sim card" error persists.
Anymore suggestions?
note:i'm leaving the country april 1st. Does anyone have idea on the time lapse of sending a phone in for repairs?
Check imei to see if it is corrupted
update:
dialed *#06#
successfully retrieved
IMEI
(15 digit number) / 01
Check with the box or phone sticker to make sure it hasn't corrupted to generic imei
IMEI identified on phone and IMEI retrieved from dialing *#06# are identical
Choice is to wipe phone and install stock rom or take to a service centre .
Possible hardware fault on the sim reader .

Might be worth getting a new SIM card

I've inserted current sim card into a family member's phone. Sim card is detected and functional.
I've replaced current sim card with a family member's sim card. "no sim insert sim card" message persists
Can we rule out software problem now?

Please confirm:
I have factory reset phone. What are you referring to by wipe?
After i successfully wipe phone
I will then proceed to reset binary
then re-install stock rom
I would do a backup then flash stock Rom again with Odin
Thanks to both of you for your concern and help
UPDATE
I am so embarassed
One thing you could do is see if any of the SIM slot pins are bent, you will need a needle/torch/magnifying glass, saw someone with similar issue recently that found his was caused by slightly bent pins, so worth a check

if i knew how to properly install the sim card on these new phones I wouldn't have a problem. Apparently Galaxy s3 has a locking mechanism that is confirmed from a clicking sound heard when the sim card is installed correctly. DOH!!

Hi, i have some problems with No Sim Card detected on Samsung Galaxy S III I9300 from T-Mobile (Austrian)
Firstly i unlocked the phone at the shop and was really unlocked on all sim cards but than i did a factory reset and the phone no longer detects sim card from other carriers, it only detects sim card from T-Mobile, It dosen't even shows the menu when you turn on the phone for network unlock.
I tryed using those secret codes to show the network unlock menu but they didn't work since the phone was updated to 4.3 firmware.
So i followed this guide on androible downgrade-galaxy-s3-i9300-android-4-3-android-4-1-2-jelly-bean-firmware
To downgrade to 4.1.2 firmware along with provided modem file. The secret codes now do show menu's but when i click on UMTS RF NV it says it's not supported.
Also instead of downgrading to T-Mobile 4.1.2 Firmware i downgraded it to Orange 4.1.2 Firmware hope that dosen't effects it in anyways? Phone otherwise works just fine IMEI Number shows OK.
I tryed 2 different SIM cards from orange none of them worked, it only detects SIM from T-Mobile.
To recap it all agean: I wish to unlock this phone so i can use different SIM card's but the phone is on NO Sim card, emergency calls only but when i insert T-Mobile Sim it works, Also there is no Network Unlock Menu shown durning turn on or reset since i already Unlocked the phone once with a code. Does anyone has any clue how to fix this or unlock it without rooting the phone.
Hello, and thanks for helping me: I've used a Z7 Max since many month on 3.08 flashed on my phone without any problems. but after having flashed a new rom today (yirom's CM12), the phone cannot detect any sim, in no one slot.
I've tried to go back to 3.08, with nubia tool updater and with twrp recovery, but even after full wipes, impossible to detect sim cards. If I Check Msim settings, it says "deactivate", not "no card".
The phone never answer sim lock pin .
Is there a way to get out of there? Thank you very much and sorry for my english.
Flash another ROM (Z7max(NX505J)电信4G双卡 V3.22)
It is not a rom problem. I have lost IMEI, but have the .nv file. But when i try to nrestore them with qbst, the phone answer the pin code again and again and again....
Use google search
Stupid. For those who have this problem, i solved it by trying again 'd again with qbst (and force efs verification). Nota: my computer did 3 *.nv backup of imei, only one was correct, the bigger one.
Phone displays "Network Locked SIM Card" Inserted after flashing a stock firmware
I recently uninstalled Magisk, and was able to only boot into download mode after. So, I downloaded a stock firmware for my s9+ 965f and flashed it through odin (using AP,BL, CP, CSC(didnt select HOME CSC). But after rebooting, the phone displays "Invalid SIM. Network Locked SIM Card Inserted".
It asks for PUK code to unlock the phone and the cellular service alone is not working now. My phone is already region unlocked and I have been using it for the past 8 months. Has anybody got this issue and any suggestions on how to solve it?
Previous OS: soldierx rom for 965f v12 on Oreo
What I did,
i) uninstall all modules in magisk,
ii) uninstall magisk,
iii) phone auto-reboot
iv) Now phone stuck in download mode. Cannot boot it
v) downloaded stock firmware G965FXXU2BRGA
vi) flashed through Odin(AP,BL,CP,CSC)
vii) Phone completely formatted and boots up.
"Error:Invalid SIM card inserted. Network Locked SIM card detected "
I am now being asked for PUK code or cellular service wont work
You need to contact your carrier for PUK code, its protective measure against too many wrong PIN attempts on specific SIM. Can't fix that with any flashing.

This is where the problem is. You put any sim card in that phone, you get the same error. The sim card works fine if I put in any other phone. I am not sure but unistalling Magisk has caused "SIM Card Read Error" in my S9+. I even upgraded to Pie from Oreo and flashed 3 different stock firmwares but the sim card error exists.
@topjohnwu
I would appreciate if you can help me on this. Not sure how to fix the issue
Looking up the error message itself points to some sort of network/carrier lock. If I am reading regional lock and carrier lock definitions correctly the two are not the same..
Did you have the phone network unlocked or was it network unlocked when you had root installed? If the device was network unlocked when it was rooted and you flashed back to stock (which removes root) this might explain what is going on...

This is an unlocked phone. I had magisk installed and when trying to uninstall it to upgrade to latest magisk, the device wont boot except download mode. So, I downloaded stock firmware and flashed it. Once I boot up with the new stock firmware, I get this error
There is some sort of lock on the phone, which is why your being asked for the code.
I think you should definetly try was what was suggested above.. trying to contact the carrier and see if they can give you the PUK code. If I recall correctly you get a few tries to enter it correctly before it won't let you anymore (and it might lock the phone up good or damage the sim)
I'm having a similar issue on a Verizon A50. Any progress?

depending on what method was used to unlock it, its likely no longer unlocked. some sellers of unlock codes neglect to mention that part. im betting its locked again
Hi, i recently flashed an A10 with the stock firmware (I downloaded the one that matched my country), and everything worked great, except the phone can only make emergency calls. When i insert the SIM card it detects the mobile network, but it doesnt seem to be able to select a network operator (neither manually nor automatically).
I flashed the "free" firmware (the one that isnt locked to any network provider), and It detects the provider that matches different SIM cards and sets up the APN (i also tried manually setting them with official guides), but doesn´t connect to the network and says that it "can´t connect to this network right now, try again later" when i try to select the network operator (IDK if operator is the right word, my phones are in spanish, and dont know which word android uses on english)
The baseband is correct, but when i looked up the IMEI on an IMEI info website, it matched with a NOTE 10 instead of an A10.
This is a friends phone, it was non usable (wouldnt boot), i didnt back up the EFS partition because im a dumbass, but i think the reason it didnt work was because someone else tried to flash a firmware (maybe a note 10 instead of A10), but he says it just stopped working. I am yet to try to flash other network provider´s firmware (the one it originally used), but i was told any that matched my country should work.
WI-FI and mobile network both work, and it detects the SIM card.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
Have you tried with a different SIM card?
