At some point flashing roms I lost Audio during phone calls. I could not hear anyone on a call and they could not hear me. I think my modem was flashed when I flashed the international G2 MiUi rom.
To fix go here
[Heimdall][Odin][Stock+Root]UCKH7 Stock kernel, rooted system, modem (aka Unbrick)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286432
Download to modem file extract it and flash the file with Odin (select the modem file in the phone section of Odin).
Fixed my issue!

i'm on my KF1 stock rom, and i want to experiment on different roms.
1) are all custom roms (e.g lite'ning, cognition, darky) flashable using CWM? (i got my CWM from flashing the mirage kernel). or i can use odin anytime if i want to flash them thru the computer?
2) i searched for the forums for my stock rom, and i found a link:
http://www.multiupload.com/U95BI5QVDL
it's in an .exe format. is that flashable too thru CWM, or i have to use Odin to flash it back if ever i want to revert back to my stock rom? isn't flashble stuff in .tar or .md5 format?
The one you found is correct and it has to be extracted from .exe format via Winrar/7Zip. Then you will get .tar file which you could flash via Odin.
And I think you can flash any Custom ROM via Odin over any ROM.
Regards.
do i flash the stock rom under the PDA tab only, just like flashing a kernel? i don't have to tick any other options (bootloader, phone, csc, etc)?

yes m8, do not tick repartion
I made the error in buying a I9100T and not using it with a genuine T carrier in australia
I just downloaded a GT-I9100_TMU_I9100BOKG2_I9100BOKG1_I9100TMUKF1 zip and Flashed it to my phone with Odin.
It was not successful in fixing my Data connection issues.
So I used Restore in CWM and restored to my 7 day old fallback backup.
But, strangely, it restored successfully to KE4, but the modem from the backup did not overwrite the new modem - KG1.
Why would the phone hold the same modem that I have downloaded in a PDA/Modem/CSC package today after a CWM restore I created last week?
There is a mystery behind the I9100T and I need it solved so I can free this phone up a bit (lot).
CWM backup does not include the modem & kernel
Just learnt this today. Check the CWM modem thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1277593 to see if you can find the original modem and flash it as a zip through CWM.
That explains a lot Thanks, It does restore the csc though.
I should be able to use this to advantage.
Load up a custom rom and save an CWM backup.
Odin the origina PDA/modem and root kerneland restore the custom over the top.
I will try anything to get this 9100T right, its undescribably harder than my I9000.
I ran better than this using Milkys Odexed Rom and a Semaphore kernel, those were the days.....

Hi all, thanks for viewing this thread
- I flashed my friend's Bell SGS2 i9100M to CM9 a while back, but now he wants to go back to stock and needs to make use of his warranty because of the battery charging problem even when it's is not plugged in
- I need to flash his phone back to Bell stock firmware UGKG2, but I do not have the necessary firmware (PDA) .tar file to flash back to stock via Odin. I've checked Intratech's thread but multiupload is down so I cannot download the .tar files
- However, I have the stock ROM in .zip file, the kernel, modem and CSC in .tar file
- Unfortunately, I did not make the nandroid backup before flashing CM9 on his phone
- I currently do not have his phone with me, but he will be coming over in a few hours
So my questions are:
1) Is it okay to just flash the stock ROM .zip file via recovery from CM9? (After the standard procedures of wiping system, data, cache, etc.)
2) Will the CM9 kernel recovery flash the stock ROM .zip file? I think it might give some e: (some sdcard) error, I'm guessing... If so, will flashing a custom Gingerbread kernel then flashing the stock ROM .zip file via CWM work?
3) If 1 & 2 don't work, does this mean I absolutely have to flash back to stock via Odin?
I've also got an usb jig prepared
Thanks in advance

Hey,
like u said, the .zip includes .tar files.
.tar files always must flashed via odin!
Only way to to it via phone is using odin on phone, but I'm not up to date how is the status and if it's really working.
So to be sure:
1) make a full wipe (like u said above with formatting system, cache etc.)
2) Put files in Odin and flash
3) Flash cf-root or kernel to get CWM back (if u want)

the .zip file does not have the .tar files, it is CWM flashable; it has the META-INF folder, system folder, zimage, etc.

Oh ok. Didn't read carefully, sorry.
So dunno where u got it from, but if it is a source u trust, it should work.
... should be like flashin CM or any custom Rom
Much success!

Hi all!
I'm encountering something odd - it makes no difference on which CM10.1 ROM derivative that I flash, but since 4/15/13 onward, I'm getting lags to the point where the phone becomes totally a near brick. It functions, but only 60+ seconds after any press of the display or button.
The only fix I've been able to find is reflashing (via ODIN) the stock AT&T modem. So - I flash a new ROM, then I ODIN the modem.
Has anyone else seen this? Is there something I'm missing?
I wouldn't think you have to use odin everytime to flash a modem. I flashed the latest release modem once and it's been there over dozens of rom flashes! Maybe the rom your flashing includes a modem and it's the wrong one?
What modem are you using that works? It should say "baseband version" under settings about phone. Then you can find a zip file with just the modem on it so you can flash it after roms and eliminate odin.

Well, I've narrowed it down to JellyBeer and ParanoidKangDroid. I don't want to try anything else, but I may go back to PA's early version and be done with it.
I've flashed the radio files via CWM and I still get lag. Blitzing the radio and reinstalling it via ODIN eliminates the lagginess. I've created a CWM flashable zip file with the same files as what I flash in ODIN.
Very odd. But at least I have a solution.

You don't need to flash a pit file. You need to perform a wipe data/factory reset from within recovery.
After giving your issue some thought, you may be able to proceed as follows:
There is a Gingerbread version of the Siyah kernel that is available in tar form that contains touch recovery. In addition, flashing it may clear the issue with your odin flashes not completing. You would flash it in PDA without ticking Re-Partitioning. If you flash this with Odin, also uncheck "Auto Reboot" and once the flash completes, turn the phone off or pull the battery and then boot straight into recovery and perform a wipe data/factory reset. Your phone will still not boot into the system, because an ICS system will not boot with a Gingerbread kernel.
Next, flash the Tar.md5 of the full stock Gingerbread distribution from the Download Repository, I777UCKH7 including the bootloaders and everything, in the PDA slot, and leave auto reboot checked. This will remove the Siyah kernel and replace it with the stock kernel which does not have touch recovery. So if you want to flash another custom firmware, you can then flash the tar version of the Siyah kernel again to get touch recovery, and you will still be able to boot into the system so that you can transfer a zip file and flash it from recovery.
Be advised that each time you flash the Siyah kernel with odin you will increment the flash counter. This is probably irrelevant to you since the phone is already out of warranty.
Hope this helps, and hope it works for you. Let us know if you have additional questions.
