When I had the HTC Hero I was hitting that upload at peak & averaging 800Kbps upload. My Downloads were around 2.2Mbps down.
Those are Rev. A speeds. Glad to see that they're returning.

wow it couldn't be more opposite for me in central Florida. I work for AT&T installing the cell equipment and I have Sprint. No wonder so many Sprint users are complaining about 3g speeds.
Average 3g in Houston, TX :
Taken on the way home from work... tonight.
But, yeah, 3g is usually between 1&2..
(Not really that impressive, IMHO.)

Wifi at home, however, is pretty ok in my book....
(and that's not even the best connection speed).

8.16mbps accross the river from cincinnati. not too bad. although the 4g coverage in the northern kentucky/greater cincinnati area is spotty at best.
Here in Columbus I get 11mbps and 1.6, at my house, at my buddies house who lives right under a tower I get 13-14 mbps and 1.75mbps. It is pretty fast here.

Yea, ping is always weird. I don't quite understand how 4g works really as far as towers go. I live in Vancouver WA and I usually connect to somewhere in Kansas, usually Wichita. I ping that at around 150Ms. Kinda crazy. If anyone had anymore info on this I would love to learn about it. Like why I'm connecting to a server in Wichita, when I live in Vancouver.
Also, I work for Comcast and we have 100mbps package but only 10 up. Frontier (Verizon) has a maximum 35mbps upload though, which is a hard sell. Lol. That's the only thing frontier has over Comcast though. ;-)

I can get 10-12 here in Elk Grove Village
10-12Dn 2-4 up around Portland OR pretty consistantly
Sitting in a building across the street from the Sprint office here in Itasca (I-290 & Thorndale Ave.), top floor:
2750k down, 750k up
I set up a wireless router off the office LAN and use that instead, in addition to using the 18mbps U-Verse Wi-Fi at home (live on the south side of Chicago), cause the 4G has left me feeling a little less than enthusiastic. Yeah, the speed is better than (for the most part) 3G, but I hate seeing all the T-Mobile goons coming up to me with their 12-15mbps numbers.
in IL here pretty much all along lake cook road gets fantastic 4g from chicago all the way out to algonquin (where the road ends)

The benefit is that, it allows you to roam on Verizon and use 3G data while roaming. A standard Sprint PRL will let you roam but only use 1x data while roaming.
The downside is that if you use too much data (some say over 300MB) while roaming each month, Sprint will cancel your service.

I think things will get better, lte speeds from Verizon are off the chain good, if sprints is going to be like that with lte than we really have something to look forward too. I have a Sprint tower about 500 yards from my house and I get incredible 3g speeds from it. Usually in the range of 2mb down and 1.5mb up. I must be the only one on Sprint. The bad part is as soon as I leave the area it drops to crap speeds again. Were you able to connect to wimax in your area. I know Sprint turned on a couple of wimax towers in midtown and was able to connect a couple of times when I was in the area with my Evo 3D. Can't wait to get LTE. My brother in law was visiting with his new Verizon Raxer LTE and we did a speed test at my house and he got 28mb down and 19mb up on average after several tests. I hope sprint deploys in Memphis ahead of schedule.
