It's possible but it can't be done by non developpers. I mean, you have to configure theme settings in android files to do what you want.
Anyway there are available themes on xda that add some functionality to the status toggles, you could look around. For example, the theme I'm using has 9 toggles on the status bar.
EDIT: I found this app.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1037817
It doesn't change the toggles that come in the notification bar (as I said you have to mess with android files for this) but it can make launcher's in the notiications panel. It looks pretty cool, maybe you should try it.

Really - these handy pull down toggles (on/off's for wifi, bluetooth etc) have been on every ver of Android since 2.0. Until now - who's brilliant idea was it to remove these?

Toggles in the notification bar have only ever been an OEM add-on, they are not part of stock Android/AOSP.
That said, it's definitely one of the most obvious missing features vs. the RAZR's contemporaries from HTC and Samsung.
My wife's new Pantech Breakout has some nice notification toggles stock! I'd love for something like that for my Razr!

yea, I miss those too. hopefully ICS has something like that in it whenever that comes out.
Available in the Market as always for example via Widgetsoid.
How many times will I have to say that for people to understan, unbelievable.

Well it doesn't work very well maybe that's why...It doesn't work with either of my Motorola phones w/o the popup - and the popup defeats the purpose imo.
Perhaps it works better on other devices idk...
Additionally, a lot of the toggles don't even work...it looks real nice and seems to be very configurable but just doesn't work for me.
Add the Toggleower Contorl widget to have some toggles.
Notification Toggle is working on my RAZR with a few minor glitches and enables customized pull-down toggles. This is a great workaround until ICS.

Try MySettings, works like a charm
Shady's rom has toggles and Im now working on them for my rom also
Widgetsoid seems like a great app with a lot of potential and nice customization features, but on the Razr you can't toggle directly from the notification bar with it. Instead clicking on the toggle icon will popup another window to toggle the setting on or off. That and I haven't been able to change the colors of the toggles in the dropdown so that it's readable.
Notification toggle is the closest I've found. Each toggle takes up a line but you can actually turn the item on or off straight from the dropdown.

I've been looking for a way to have power controls in the notification (slide/pull down thingy?) the SGS2 way.
An app, free on gplay, called Notification Toggle, NT, by a dev J4velin did the trick; I am using it and it's great.
Not only does it let you select from a variety of toggles, but it also offers to include shortcuts up there. Some toggles (Gps) require that you set it as a system app, thus require root, but most of the power controls don't. And you can also customize the toggle icons and such.
Naturally, it has to be running in the background and it's got a footprint of 8+ mb.
I notice some devs on this forum have come up with a flashable mod for that as well. But as I think it's only for deodexed ROMs. Anyways, it's always nice to have more options.
in my opinion widgetsoid its perfect - but pooup is terrible;/
so i us for few weeks notification toggle and icons from widgetsoid
It sounds like this, which we already have:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468703
edit: re-read and understood that OP is trying to introduce this app that works the same way without flashing.

Notification Toggle give me only 2 toggles, is there a way to select more options?
Or is this only via the payed app?
think I know what you mean
When you go to the next view in the app, the one titled Notifications, tick the "1st notification" and then LONG PRESS on it. This will allow you to SELECt the TOGGLES that the FIRST ARRAY OF Buttons in the NOTIFICATION tray will host.
I hope that helped
Merci!

Would it not make more sense to download a ROM and extract the original pngs from the frameworks? That way you get much more than the toggles.
No, because i need also the text under the toggle icon which i can't get manually
Do you not get how HOLO theming works? You can get all that you need from the files in the system. Do you think they're just randomly placed and generated? No they're coded in the Framework-res.apk and System-UI.apk.
If you don't even understand how the system theme works together, I suggest reading A LOT more.
I know how holo theming works, i'm just trying to replace cm9 toggle pngs with on and off s3 pngs which have text under toggles
cm9 doesn't have text under toggles and also they are kinda small that's why i want to replace them with cropped toggles from a screenshot

New Xposed Mod: Custom Status Bar Opacity
This tiny mod makes the opacity of the status bar (when it is transparent in lock screen or launcher) easily configurable from the mod's UI without reboot. Notice that it will not change anything if the status bar is not transparent at all (e.g. in apps).
=> This helped me getting white status bar icons better readable on bright launcher backgrounds but as well lets you make the status bar permanently solid or fully transparent.
Limitations
Works only on HTC stock-based ROMs version 4.0.3 and higher using Sense launcher (simply does nothing on other devices)
You MUST accept that you use any modification at your own risk
If you want to try it, follow these steps:
If not done yet or included in your custom ROM, install the Xposed framework as described in this thread (requires root)
Install the attached APK and activate the module in the Xposed installer (this is also described in the framework thread)
Reboot
ChangeLog
Code:
[B]1.0[/B]
- Initial release
Hope you enjoy and let me know. Great thanks go to @rovo89 for this fabulous framework.

It works indeed on stock sense launcher, but it doesn't do anything in adw launcher.
Is there any way to get it working with this launcher too?
Many thanks

I'm afraid not with version 1.0 or a quick solution based on it. I'm currently working on bringing this to Samsung's TouchWiz with a more generic approach, which makes it very likely to be working in ADW launcher as well. But this may take a while, so please stay tuned.
By any chance making this mod for Galaxy note 2?

Transparency on TouchWiz status bar works differently. This is HTC specific, since it covers the Sense-specific switch between transparency in launcher and no transparency in apps. Certainly, it could be done for TouchWiz with not that big effort, but has low prio for me currently. However, I have a device running TouchWiz, so make myself a note to look into it sometime.
Works great ! thank you !

Sweet! Looking forward to it!
If you add some kind of option for a solid black status bar this would literally be the perfect mod.

Did you try to tap the mod in Xposed installer, which opens the mod preferences, and to slide the opacity slider completely to the left (0%). This will make your status bar solid black.

It only makes it solid black on the home screen and in the launcher, it reverts back to the gradient in apps.
It is working great and looks nice.
Thanks for your great mods

Great mod works perfectly... Would you be able to create one that disables the messaging app from notifying on delivery reports??? I want to have delivery reports on but the notification on the status bar gets so annoying!!
Not work on ARHD 10.2 with Dark Theme

Does anyone know if it's possible to hide just the notification icon without hiding the notification itself from pulldown?
Use case: Yahoo Weather app, the persistent notification in the pulldown is beautiful. I want it to always be there. However, the little temperature notification icon is pretty ugly, and I want to hide/disable it.
Using JB's "disable notifications" won't work since it will disable the entire notification, not just the icon.
Any ideas?
Maybe decompile systemui.apk or farmework-res.apk or where the icon is and turn it into a blank icon as in matches the background of status bar?
Or try to decompile Google now and dig through some xml files to figure out how they do it.
Off hand I can't say I've ever tried and don't have a great answer but may give you a start
