Now I know this is largely an opinion based question but figured I'd get some good feedback. I am a former incredible owner and with the incredible I had MANY choices of ROMs that were all fast, great battery improvements and completely stable. I was a huge fan of CM7 on the incredible. I finally just rooted my Thunderbolt and am looking for the same. I just want a ROM that is stable, decent speed and with better battery life. So far I flashed a sense 3.5 ROM (InfectedROM) and it is has many bugs, little bit better battery and actually feels slower than stock. CM7 says it is still in beta so I have been reluctant to try it. Does anybody have any advice on the most solid ROM out there for the Thunderbolt? Thank you

Any BAMF ROM. They are almost completely bug free, smooth, and offer better battery life over stock. CM7, even though it's not officially supported yet, doesn't have too many bugs. The battery life, in my opinion, just doesn't match up to Sense ROMs.
One piece of advice I'll give you for better battery life. Don't overclock. It just isn't necessary. The phone is fast enough at 1GHz, and you won't see too much of a change overclocking, just worse battery life. (Benchmark scores are meaningless. They do not reflect every day performance)
What kind of mAh drain do you experience on bamf roms? I stay between 15-25 on CM7 with the screen off and peak between 150-350 with screen on. BT is always on, as well as GPS. (Never use wifi, so can't speak on that) Oh, and I just Juice defender, before JD I would average 35-40. Sync mail with imap every 15 and exchange on push. Underclocked with screen off to 360 and run 1024 with screen on. I don't OC unless I'm plugged in. Then its only 1209.
I'll also cast a vot for Team BAMF. I am on BAMF forever 1.10 and I flashed the devs beta 3++ kernel build after because I saw a bit of lag with the stock kernel. You absolutely need to remember to wipe before flashing the rom, though. I neglected to and the lockscreen didn't even work.

I never dropped below 30% battery using bamf in months, I'm a huge fan. It took a lot for me to drain it down low.

I vote BAMF SoaB. But I'm biased.

Never had any problems with CM7 via protekk's builds. Run fast and smooth, and get great battery life. Plus it's clean so I don't have to worry about washing my hands after using it
Skyraider 1.3. Gives the best balance of htc sense functionality, battery life, customizations, and speed. I would stay away from sense 3.0 and 3.5 roms. They initially seem smooth; however in everyday use they will lag on you. The phone is just not designed for 3.0/3.5 sense. The 2.1/3.0 hybrid roms work well which is what the skyraider 1.3 rom is. If you don't like sense, then run CM 7.1.1 or Liquid Smooth 3.2. The non-sense roms will be a little faster, but I like the widgets that come with sense.
Update: Forgot MIUI rom. Very nice if you like the apple-esk look and feel. Very smooth.
BAMF forever 1.1
How do i find the BAMF forever 1.1 rom. When I use ROM mamanger I only see 1.0.5
Another vote for SkyRaider Zeus 1.3.
Near perfect for me.
Miui tons of customization very good batt life and very smooth

BAMF roms are probably the most stable roms and I tried most of them already I even bricked my phone a couple of times trying all the roms and so far I'm sticking with this ROM called thunder stick 3d
I've tried Bamf Forever, SkyRaider, SoaB, MIUI and Gingeritis 3D.
My vote out of all 3 is Gingeritis! Battery life has been a ton better than the Bamf roms and MIUI I only liked on my Droid X. Wasn't a fan on my T'Bolt.
Liquid Gingerbread 3.2
Liquid's AOSP 3.2 is by far the best rom I've used, it's based on CM7, which is technically still a beta, but I think that's just because the official support on the CM website is slated for CM9, I have no issues with Liquid 3.2 and I tend to be picky about dealing with bugs, and battery life is good the way it comes, better than Sense based roms, and you can configure the kernel for batterysaver which makes it even better.
[ROM-STOCK-605.9] iKReaM.What.Thee.ROM.605.9-R3Ds this rom is legit but if someone could tell me what that clock is and how get it i would greatly appreciate it
I used CM7.1 most of the time but switch to a BAMF Sense 3.0 ROM on Thursday nights (and sometimes Sunday and Monday night) to watch NFL Mobile. They are both nice, but Sense 3.0 has some stupid issues, like lack of landscape mode, lower volume by default, dodgy Bluetooth support, etc, it's enough to make you want to get rid of it.
I have th3oryrom - ics
I vote for th3ory, i like that it is non htc sense. And this one is a ics look/feel rom. This is a link to dhacker29's rom (http://th3oryrom.com/ROMS/SHIFTAO5P_IC3.2.1.zip );and although it is 2.3.7 android it still seems like you're using ics. the only bug i have found is flash keeps crapping out. there's a thread i found (non t-bolt related) that i found where going to adjust (remove all) permissions fixes this but which folder i do not remember.
You won't get many votes for this b/c the developer isn't going to update it (at least i don't think) b/c they have moved on to another phone.
EDIT: i did a search for you if you're inclined to dnld this rom. in the Q&A bolt forum there is one i located that path on your phone you may need to find using root explorer to run flash. "/data/data/com.android.browser/app_plugins/com.adobe.flashplayer/.macromedia/Flash_Player/config.data" after this path go to permissions on this file and deselect all check marks.
Google Music
it is an awesome rom but since CLEAN flashing this rom, ive had issues streaming my music from google, it sucks, i read other people having this problem as well so i tried the various fixes i found and to no avail, its a deal breaker for me cuz i wanna listen to the music i paid for. im gonna try SHIFT AO5P n see if it produces some positive results, if not, im going back to INFECTEDROM. I WANT MY GOOGLE MUSICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC!!!

So I see there are senseless ROMS for Incredible and Sensation, but nothing about Thunderbolt. So here goes my question.
I want to try a ROM without Sense, something like a ROM running Go Launcher as its starter program launcher, or ADW, Launcher Pro.
I am currently running Son of a Bliss, but using Go Launcher as my interface. Was wondering if a senseless ROM would run even faster, or provide a more stable platform?
I just want opinions, what your running and how you like it, highs and lows.
Thanks!
i love aosp roms such as miui(which i currently use) and cm7/cm9. To me they seem faster and just better looking in my opinion.
Using gingerbean now, exactly what I wanted. Desensed as much as dev could. Fast imo too.. really customizable. Also used liquid thunderbread which I liked but got tired of, not sure how updated it is

What is the smoothest sense 3.0 rom?
And when i say smooth i mean no lag, no stutter, no glitches, no nothing, just a smooth, as you would have liked it rom.
Some ppl say rom's are smooth and i find them to be laggy, for instance (no offence Lee) Leedroid's rom is laggy, but everything works!
Need a rom which works and is smooth as butter, like coredroid on the sensation.
Quickest rom i've ever seen, frame rate is ridiculous.
Any suggestions???
Blackend is pretty smooth but I only switch between EVOZone and blackened, haven't tried anything outside of those two

Thanks for replying, I should have said, GSM only, as i'm in the UK.
i'm loving warm rom right now. i'm on cdma, but they have a gsm version. hasn't been updated in a while, but latest nightly is amazing.

Hmmm, Eternity 3.0 isnt compatible with GSM? I know the 3.5 one is.

I too would very much like a smooth 3.0 ROM. Obv would prefer sense 3.5 but I find there are too many bugs. Unfortunately I'm on gsm so there are not much options at the mo. Starting to wish I got a sensation (even with the lack of 1gb RAM)
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using XDA Premium
Warm TwoPointThree might be your best bet. It is also pretty smooth, but not quite as good as Eternity. You can however remove some of the 3D effect on the Rosie and make it just 2D and that makes it more smooth, the option to do that is in Warm Tweaks. Eternity also has the same thing in the same place called Eternity Tweaks.
I have the same problem looking for a smooth and stable GSM rom...and all sense 3.5 seem to have something not working.
Isn't the GSM version of InfectedROM Eternity a nightly sense 3.5 build? I tried it 2 days ago, battery went from 95% to 13% in 4-5 hours of stand by...and it wasn't system tunners fault.

The lack of ram isn't all that much in all honesty, 768MB is more than enough for the rom's that we're running.
Plus the amount of attention the sensation gets is staggering when you compare it to the 3vo, i too wish i would have got the XE, it's a stellar handset, at stock it's good, put ICS on it and it's blazing.
However, don't know the 3vo too much, if the right dev's pop over to this then i can see the evo being a beast, it's got the hardware, it's got 3d which not many phones can boast, it's also got a decent battery and nice screen too, plus i've dropped mine i dont' know how many times and it just bounces
ANYWAY, back to the rom, up until now, probably King Cobra is the best, although once i have all my apps installed and the rom has settled a bit, it's a bit clunky. Everything does work though, and it's themeable, which is always nice.
Wish we had coredroid man, crazy rom that on sense 3.

Yea i tried warm rom quite a while ago and i seem to remember getting fc's, can't remember exactly what for, i might check it out.
I miss sense 3 plus i've never played a 3d game on my phone.
Sense 4 is where it's at tho, such a nice interface.

It is a nightly yea, which means that older releases are sometimes better than the newer ones, tried a few, but documentation on whats been good and whats not involves sifting through the many pages which make up the thread, not a bad rom tho.
Best batter life i was getting was with Mikrunny 1.11, got nearly two days on med - low usage clocked @ 1.18Ghz, no need for any more as it's smooth, it's just ur missing features like 3d gaming and it's not got a theme besides Phikal's which isn't complete, still a good theme tho.

Obvious things like working data and WiFi. 3D and 4G mean nothing to me.
95% of themed ROMs look pretty terrible, so I usually refrain from those. The 5% includes Warm, Eternity, and SupraROM.
I lean more towards ICS these days, but the battery drain (even without bluetoothd) is pretty horrendous, and it's still not completely stable.
All of those things mixed together means that I'm really looking forward to data and WiFi on the Sense 4.0 port...
I'm just looking for an optimized rom which is either an optimized stock rom or an stable port with all features working.
Most important for me when I consider to use is that it has the essential parts working, if the 3D part is not working that is something I can understand, but I think its important to have that working to.
Because the 3D makes our device stand out from the crowd. Also an reason for choosing an custom rom is because the overclocks, because our devices have much more in them then the standard 1.2Ghz clock.
I look mainly for tweaks/optimizations that make the phone run faster, smoother, and get better battery life. I also love eye candy, but most of the themed roms look really cheesy IMO. Myn's Warm has always kept it classy and sexy, love the green/transparancy theme it's had since the debut on the Evo 4G. Definitely looking for stability and functionality though. I could care less about 3D (face it, it's a gimmick to show off to your friends once and never use it again), and 4G coverage is so spotty and useless indoors that it's hard to miss. Extra features are also a plus. So my favorite roms:
Warm 2.3: Sexy, classy, super fast/smooth, and everything works perfectly. Definitely the best Sense rom and I have been a fan of Myn's work since the early OG Evo days.
MIUI: Really fast, different look and feel, different features like pop up text messages, and great battery life. Although I do have to use LauncherPro because I can't stand not having an app drawer with all my icons littered across my home screens.
CM9: I WANTTTTT. ICS is freaking awesome and I love it but due to it being in the alpha stages I can't use it as a daily. I tried, but data dropping in and out, wifi connection issues, frequent force closes, no camera, and horrific battery life keep me from using it till development progresses further.

I look for a modified rosie I hate the arched rosie Chase its all jagged. Other than that just data and WiFi. I can't wait for the data on the sense 4.0 port
Bang from my Shooter!!!
1) Everything working. Seems a little ridiculous to me to run a rom that breaks otherwise working features just to say you're running it...
2) Aesthetically pleasing. Eternity, MIUI, and Warm all got it right. Seems like most of the rest just throw in highly contrasting colors (read: ugly) and icons that all look almost identical and call it a day...
3) Tweaks and modifications. It has to be able to do something that stock can't.
4) No Bloat. Not even a little bit.
5) Dev support. This is kind of a throw back to #1. We have some amazing devs around here making already great roms faster and smoother. But then again, I have seen some great ideas just get abandoned after a while.
So it's been roughly a week since the ICS leak hit. What are your impressions?
I didn't think a tweaked GB 2.3.4 rom was too bad, at least not to the point where I constantly pined over ICS. GB was satisfactory to say the least.
ICS has been pretty impressive imo. Battery life has definitely improved and things feel a bit more peppier. Then again it could all be placebo effect. I mainly preferred a sense base rom for the camera and I'm pretty happy i can have the best of both worlds.
Overall if my level of satisfaction with the 2.3.4 roms was a 7/10 i would rate my satisfaction a 9/10 with ICS.
What do you guys think so far?
So far so good, i would rate it 9.5/10.
I am personally much happier with ICS then GB. I like the look and feel I just wish i had the same service (coverage) as GB. I now get HORRIBLE reception. Hopefully there will be an update for my completely stock Amaze.
Very stable here.

I'm having the same experience.
the only thing i really dislike about ics is the lack of apps optimized for ics (no fault of ics of course)
my reception doesn't feel changed at all.
I guess its because where i am its either 1. very strong or 2. weak to the point where there is no signal.
I am using NRG ICS, but I was on stock for a day. I really like it, and the battery is twice as good.
My favorite feature is that one can combine icons on the desktop to create "folders" with multiple programs. I keep all my browsers in the space needed by only one icon. Very cool.
I like ARHD. I'm getting fast data speeds and good reception. The battery life isn't all that great. I already reconditioned it 3 times, and did a battery stats wipe. Unplugged it at 12 am, and checked it at 6am. It was already at 86 percent. If it was my glacier, it would be at 95 or more. I also used better battery stats app, and disabled any rouge apps. Juice defender running disabling all data, and system tuner sets the governor to powersave while the screen is off.
For some reason, I can't get the radio settings to stick. It always goes back to gsm whenever I tried to set it to gsm/wcdma prl or anything else.

Yeah, I just stumbled on them in GB as well. I think it's a sense feature rather than a GB feature. I think I remember watching a video showing folders on whatever version of IOS first had them and thought that'd be cool, and one day saw I could do it on my phone. I threw all my games into a games folder.

I split my games into categories (RPG, board, etc). Very useful.
My reception has gotten slightly better, stock ICS with Apex launcher is much smoother than any GB ROM I've tried, and even though I'm not a fan of HTC Sense's overhead, I'm still pretty happy with it
I like the leak. I've been running stock rooted and debloated with apex launcher and its WAY better than 3.0. Especially with Apex.
ICS is MUCH snappier (no placebo). It has everything I liked from 3.5 with improvements in performance.

1. MUCH improved battery life.
2. Snappier response.
3. 150MB less memory usage on average. I've changed nothing about my usage habits. This probably contributes quite a bit to the snappier performance.
I'm not sure if reception is better, haven't really been paying attention. Overall I'm impressed. I like the return to the icon bar instead of that stupid giant PHONE button with two other useless things on it. I am noticing a little bit of stutter on cpu intensive apps; wonder if that's just tweaking/optimization that will be taken care of in the release.
I think my phone reception is a little bit better with the new radio, but my wifi reception has gone crazy with the new radio. Sometimes I'll have full bars sitting in one spot, and 0 wifi bars a minute later in the same spot. I do like ICS a lot more than GB though.
Perhaps those are some of the issues the T-Mobile team wants HTC to fix before the actual release.
