Is there a way to integrate gmail as well as k9 mail into the univeral inbox.
The other option would be to integrate text messages into k9 mail. Are either of these possib.e
Just an FYI, K9 isn't supported anymore. the Dev's broke up or something.
The new version is Kaiten (K10) and is still being updated.
If you email Jesse (the dev of the app), he might be able to help. He's pretty friendly.
Awesome I look for that one. Do you know if there is anyway to do what I asked with k10.

Hi,
Does HTC mail (I've currently got a 2.1 ROM but on any ROM) support Push email? I know Gmail does and I've tried K9 mail but didn't get along with it great. Also I'm trying to revert to stock HTC apps ready for the update.
Ta
Android only supports push gmail and push exchange.
The way push works is you need a server to push the the phone, the software is relatively easy once you have the server to do the hard work.
Hence why Blackberry's have to have their own "online portal" where you add all your email addresses to as the BB server then gets the emails and pushes them to your phone.
There are third party apps available that do this for android but none use HTML and they are quite expensive.

i got a stange workaround though...basically made gmail my main account but what you can do is create a new gmail account, have it to forward all the mail there. the only issue is if you still want to actually use your hotmail or whichever email, you will not be able to tell which you have read yet...
I'm a little disappointed with the standard Atrix mail widget. Just one entry and it's blank if there is no new mail. I'd love to know what people think are the best mail widgets that can work with Atrix. I'd like to find one that can handle a combination of POP, iMAP and Exchange Server. And it can list multiple entries and optionally list mail whether it is unread or not. I simply can't get K9 working with our Exchange Server, and my phone is rooted, so Email Widget and Pure Messenger don't work. The Touchdown widget is nice, but Touchdown doesn't integrate with GMail (iMap) or POP3. What do you think?
Enhanced Email is supposed to provide a single inbox for Exchange/GMail/POP mail etc, but haven't tried it myself.
Cheers
Dan
Enhanced E-mail is the bee's knees!!! The only E-mail app I use... all stock email programs, processes, universal inbox, etc. are frozen.

Dude, you must be like 90. Congratulations on keeping up with technology!
Hi,
I use my phone mostly for work related things and I find the default email client to be quite hopeless. If I set it up as a premium a/c, then as soon as I read an email, all mails are marked read. If I don't set it as a premium, I can't use the push mail feature and thenceforth have to set it on a periodic poll. Also here the email notifications are quite unreliable.
I was on 2.3.3 and recently flashed to 2.3.5 and I sees no difference at all.
So I use touchdown, but it has its own share of problems.
I would just like to know how you all are dealing with this. (I expected Samsung to pack a powerful email apparently, but looks like its not on their list of things)
Thanks
Vishal
I use Kaiten mail due to the same problem you have had with stock mail client. Setup your email for imap and it becomes true push email with Kaiten mail. Very nice program.
Just wondering. I have mail coming in from
- gmail (1 account)
- hotmail (3 accounts)
- 2 other POP3/SMTP-mail-systems
I can use the default Gmail- and e-mail-app but I think there's more out there, easier, faster, handier. Looked on the Market but there isn't much ...
Votes please ...
try k9.ist a powefull and nice email app.if you like, there is a scrollable widget, calls k9 for pure mesenger.
if you are looking for a free version, you could use the default email app for all...just add the Gmail as an exhange server (m.google.com). But Touchdown or Moxier provide an excellent paid replacement. (19.99) Since i got the 3.2.2 email.apk i haven't gone back to Moxier or Touchdown.

Totally agree about the default email client app, love it.
But, mind telling us how/where you got your newer version? 3.2.2
I'm using Kaiten Email. From the same people like k9 but a better view for tablets. But not free. ;-)
I find that the default email client works great for me with exchange 2007.
I did purchase Touchdown a while back but i found myself using the built in widgets for the default email client.
I only use a google apps email and the default gmail client works great for me.
Is there a way to "select all" for batch deletion in the new email? If there is I can't find it
Sent from my GT10.1 (GalaxyTask) via Tapatalk
gmail, it has all the functions that I want, and also it's quite responsive.
What email client is the best on playstore?
I've used K9, but I think it's a bit outdated, I like the holo look, but it's not a deal breaker
What would you recommend for me?
I'm using outlook.com (Exchange ActiveSync), imap and pop3.
Preferably free, but I can pay also.
For over a year, I use MailDroid, I'm very happy with it. I've tried K9 but the case is not appealed to me.
using stock email apps (for hotmail only)
gmail then gmail apps
that all
For me the best combo is: Stock mail client for yahoo, hotmail other spam accounts. my official is Gmail and I use the normal Gmail app. I find the gmail app to be one of the very best.
You should try Aqua Mail (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.AquaMail&feature=search_result). I used it as my primary app. Its very robust and the support is extremely good.
Why to use several clients for different accounts? Use one with all your accounts configured.
For me Emoze Push mail works a treat. It solved my POP3 account autosync problem I had with the stock client as well with K-9.
Also you have Push option for POP mails which is nice.
I'm trying to get my outlook.com account to get pushed into an email client.
But I can't get it to work, I've tried TouchDown, Moxier etc.
Any more suggestions?
