LG Thrive KDZ - Optimus One, P500, V General

If anyone has the LG Thrive KDZ I would really appreciate it if you can send it to me. My phone got messed up and at this point this appears to be the only way to fix it, but I can't find the KDZ

This should work for all LG phones

those links don't work anymore...

Actually doesn't matter now. AT&T is going to be sending a replacement. Even the master reset they told me to do couldn't get the thing to go past the LG screen. Now lets just hope they don't say I did something to violate the warranty...

Yes they do. You can either follow the directions under "How to get stock FW" or use the downloadable tool that finds the firmware for you.

[Q] How to revert completely to stock?

I have the prepaid optimus l9 from T-Mobile, and have rooted it and deleted several of the bloatware apps. How can I return this phone to its out of the box state, as in unrooted and with bloat intact? I am not returning the phone, if that helps, but I am giving it to a parent, and want the OTA updates to work properly for them.

Reflash V10E with offline LG update method. If required do hard reset after flashing. Its back to factory defaults and will take V10G update.

So, flash the 10 e kdz? Thank you very much for the help, I really appreciate the work you do here on this otherwise all but forsaken by devs phone. Sorry to be leaving this community in its time of need, but my nexus 4 is already on the way, and my dev experience is incredibly limited, as my only language is java, and even there i struggle to freehand code without a template.

[Q] LGNPST won't let me choose the proper DLL

I've been trying to get my LGOG which is currently in 4.0.4 to update to 4.1.2. I already have everything ready. I've installed all the software needed (LG drivers, Components, GenericModules, LGNPST 1.2), I have the .bin, and I have the .dll.
The only thing standing in my way is: LGNPST won't let me choose the .dll! I can select the .bin file, but not the .dll. I've been trying to get this to work for hours; I even stayed up until 4am trying to figure it out.
I searched around, and I found that I had to register the .dll file first in order for it to be detected by LGNPST, but it does not want to be registered, no matter how many times I try it. This error comes up everytime I make an attempt:
The module "C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST\LGE970_20121005_LGFLASHv141.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found. Make sure that "C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST\LGE970_20121005_LGFLASHv141.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again.
I even went through attempting to register it through an escalated (Administrator-level) Command Prompt, to no avail. I don't know what to do; all I want is to update it to 4.1.2 but it's been so difficult for me. Would anyone please help? Any support will be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
P.S.
I live in the Philippines, so calling AT&T to push the update to my phone is an absolute no-go. Thank you!
That is a .DLL for use with another program called LGflashtool so it isn't compatible with lgnpst. If you use tStilenzio automated lgnpst it will register the DLL on install. Unzip it then right click on .bat file to run as administrator ( it will say LS970 DLL but it works fine).

I've also tried his LGNPST, but it still doesn't want to work. When I use his, only one DLL is available: the one called LGNPST_Utility3.dll which is the last file found in the Components 3.0 folder, and not the one for the E970. When I tried to flash the stock ROM using the Utility3.dll, it errored immediately; I tried that about 3 or 4 times.

Jesus you really need to go to the irc channel and be patient for someone knowledgeable to come along. If you got that far, your own lack of reading comprehension has posited that question in your brain. If you had read the instructions, you'd know that's the correct dll.

[ROOT] For stock LG G Pad 8.3

What is it?
A simple automated root script for Windows users.
This uses the general root method used on most LG devices as of recent.
Batch file is influenced by thecubed
How do I use it?
First, if you're on Windows then you'll need the LG USB drivers: http://goo.gl/PfEgTg
From there, simply run root.bat then just follow the prompts.
Linux and Mac users should read root.bat and run the same commands on their systems.
Where to get it?
Mirror 1: http://goo.im/devs/dalingrin/GPad//root_gpad.zip
Mirror 2: http://d-h.st/v1A
md5: ca7fd85b71cc56334348b19d39d0a275
Warnings
Could void your warranty. Probably not a good idea to try to get your tablet serviced with this installed. It would be best to flash back to a stock configuration.
Where can I get help?
I can't possibly help everyone so I hope fellow users can help you in this thread.
Please do not flood me with PMs. I have a difficult enough time keeping up with all the messages and such that I get

Hi
You can always install "lgMobile Support Tool", from LG and do an "Upgrade Recovery", on the menu.. it removes root and flashes the latest firmware..
Hi madscout,
also works by performing an upgrade to the same version already installed?
you mentioned this ?

Ok, I had seen a different name of the EXE and I had not yet opened, the procedure is that in any case, very good.
If @dalingrin has a faster procedure to remove his Root...is better, in any case I understand the guidance and tools.
thanks
edit: i'm really noob with LG, with samsung (n7000) is totally different.

Here is the Verizon LG G3 VS985 10B TOT file for flashing back to stock. Not a developed item on my part of course, but this makes it easy for those fellow Verizon users to find, because it seems a little tough to track down a direct link to the file, I have uploaded it to media fire for all to easily access.

you cant flash a bad tot because lg flash runs a crc check on the tot first before it flashes it. tho an md5 on the tot.zip may save a few minutes in extracting if you have a bad download.
