I am running synergy-thunderbolt-r262-signed-092911_160045 and I tried to change the image icon on the right button Rosie but when I went to compile using apk-manager it gave me an error and when I installed it I got a loop boot screen. Anyone know how to change this icon.
Thanks
EDIT:
Found how to do it. Must go into fusion.apk with M10 and then change the .pngs

I absolutely love the SGSII lockscreen on TSM Resurrection. But instead of AM/PM being displayed properly next to the time, I get Jan./Feb. instead. Looks like something inside the XML files inside framework-res.apk is messed up. I tried decompiling the APK and removing the AM/PM references in res/layout/zzz_keyguard_screen_clock.xml, but when I try to recompile and boot, the phone will get just hang at a black screen after the boot animation.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

it would actually be a resource id in android.policy.jar in one of the sgs2 lockscreen files....if i get a chance this week or next ill flash the rom and edit the file
No sweat, I know this is pretty far down on the list of priorities. If I can somehow figure it out before you do I'll post the file here. Thanks for the pointer. Trying to understand how this stuff works a little better...
OK, after decompiling android.policy.jar, I need to edit UnlockClockGB.smali to fix the AM/PM, but I don't know enough Java to figure out what's going on in there. I only know Python. I'd just remove the AM/PM reference, but don't know which method to change to remove it.
Just for your information, I'll keep working.
I would like to get rid of the "personalize" icon - On the bottom right of the HTC sense launcher. I have a new png to put in the Rosie app using root explorer, but can't make it stick.
Do I need to resign or modify a different way? Trying to do this straight from my phone. Any tips? Thanks!

the image is in fusion.apk, you need m10 tools to decompile and edit it.
Edit again: Ok, confused. I couldn't find a fusion app in the market...at least not one that seemed to edit or be any sort of tool. Also, no m10 app...so, assuming that is a program on a pc?
If so, is there an easier way to modify an app on your phone and re-sign (or whatever needs to be fine) from phone itself?
The fusion.apk is in your ROM on the phone, not in the Market. M10 tools again are not market apps, they are tools you use on a computer to decompile and edit the files within the fusion.apk to modify the rosie.
Hi,
I'd appreciate your input on the following problem.
In custom recovery, I have installed the aroma file manager, copied the /system/app/systemui.apk to the sd-card.
On the computer, I have opened the systemui.apk with WinZip. I also opened a zip file that contained the battery pngs of my choice - I highlighted them and dragged them into the WinZip systemui.apk window (replacing the original pngs).
I copied the systemui.apk back to the sd-card, rebooted the phone into the recovery, started aroma file manager again, replaced the original /system/app/systemui.apk with my modified systemui.apk and checked the permissions.
I rebooted the phone. My new battery icon is there.
BUT where the wifi icon and the sd-card icon etc. used to be, there is a black field now - i.e. the icons are no longer shown, only black placeholders.
Any idea why?
What can I do?
Thanks
mary-lou
Have you changed the status bar bg by mistake? Also make sure that the battery icons are of same dpi as stock. Have you played with any other thing? (Transparency?)

Hi, I haven't change the status bar bg and I haven't played with transparency.
BUT I tried again.
This time I used another set of icons (the icons do have the same size as in my first attempt, though), again I copied them from a zip into the systemui.apk -- BUT this time I used 7-zip (instead of WinZip). And it worked. No problems after copying the systemui.apk back to /system/app and setting the permissions.
I don't know if there was a problem with the first icon set or if WinZip was the problem.
Summing up, it is possible to replace pngs in the systemui.apk in an odexed system by just dragging&dropping the modified apks into the systemui.apk (with the help of 7-Zip).
Yeah, using 7-zip is mandatory while creating archives for android. It's the same with flashable zips. I found out that you even have to use the windows version, it isn't enough to use 7-zip in Linux.

I've used the search, but I found only a guide, but it doesn't work...
so, I ask another time your help.
I want to change the status bar icons (for example, the icon who appears when you insert the headphones) and the toggle icons (for example the toggle for put on wifi, hotspot, bluetooth, and much more).
I tried to download sdk tools, jdk, and apk tools.
I took the original SystemUI.apk with the root explorer, I extracted it with apktool (I've inserted "apktool d SystemUI.apk"). This systemui is for cm 7.2.
I extracted another SystemUI.apk, which is for stock roms (2.3.6), I went on res/drawable-mdpi and I took 2 wifi icons (on and off, there was the icons for the wifi toggle). So, I resized them with GIMP, because there was 70x70, and in the SystemUI for the cm 7 the toggle icons are 36x36. I've insered even the trasparent background.
So, I copied these icons in the res/drawable-mdpi of the SystemUI for the CM 7 and I return back to the .apk file ("apktool b SystemUI").
I put it in my phone, I put on system/app with root explorer, I've assigned the right permissions, but when I rebooted the phone, there was any status bar! But I think I do all correctly, because I resized the files 36x36, and I didn't touch anything.
Anyone can help me?
again, sorry for my bad english.

I'm using the themed rom (10E) that was created by Kuma and everything turned out fine, I tried patching the file to remove the Q-Apps from the notification bar and I ended up making the entire bar disappear. Now the bar at the top is completely gone, factory resetting/flashing the zip again won't bring it back. How can I fix it and bring the entire status bar back? I understand it may be a problem with SystemUI.apk. If someone has a copy of that I can put back on my phone? As well as where to put it? Thanks!
Just replace SystemUI.apk with the one in the ROM zip (if that is the only apk you patched).
