Every time I go into clockwork recovery now my phone freezes and none of my buttons work except the volume buttons where I can scroll, but I can't select anything. And there is a picture of a white box with the little green android guy jumping gout of it. There are words that say: "Formatting misc..."
Everything was working great until I updated my phone and I lost root and lost my silent camera. So I re-rooted. I am trying to do two things. First, make a new Nandroid backup, second, re-install silent camera, but its says that it can't install.
How do I fix this CWM problem and get my silent camera back?
EDIT: LG Ox2 2.2 v10f
I also notice that I can't access the phone's memory through ES Explorer anymore. I re-rooted and my other rooted apps work normally. I lost a video and a couple of pictures after the update.

I recently purchased an Optimus T and rooted it with z4root and then installed Titanium Backup to delete some of the preinstalled apps, like the Pacman Demo.
As I was removing each app, (~5 at this point) the Home button suddenly stopped working, followed by total phone death. Even after factory reset, when I was trying to access the phone, eventually I was shown a "... setup.exe stopped responding..." (or something like that) message and my phone just stayed stuck on the booting screen (android) every time I restart (w/o entering factory reset).
Does anyone have any ideas, or know which apps can prevent the phone from booting properly? A list of safe apps to delete would be helpful too. I thought I was pretty cautious with removing only non essential apps, but it seem bricked. Thanks again!

About list off apps, I have to agree. Even it there is litle problem with dependencies, some minimum describe of these issue will be great!!
So, about your problem - I think, that you will have to download original ROM and do flashing with KDZ_FW_UPdater. (search on xda for more information).
But definitely, if it's possible I would try to install custom recovery throw adb shell (android SDK tools) and do backup of system for possibility to recovery or saving at least few data, and after try wipe and install one of custom ROM.
This happened to me after I tried deleting preinstalled apps on my Optimus One... Sent it in for repairs since it just stopped working. The tech guy said he did a "software update" and everything is good as new (except for the LGMITS error once in a while)
They didn't even bother trying to fix mine. They just told me to send it in and gave me a replacement.
So I finally figured out what I did wrong - basically when I was doing the deleting, I accidentally deleted the LG Home app, which effectively deactivated my (duh) home button and effectively stopped everything from functioning properly. For some reason I thought it was just a simple link from my phone directly to the LG website, as would happen with new PCs very often. Well... won't be doing THAT again.
However, my web2go button isn't working. I have to force quit every time I try to click on it. Can I just get rid of it or will it just give me more trouble later on?
At least you knew what went wrong with yours... I was just erasing CarHome and Layar and the LG App Adviser among other things i wont be using like Twitter and Latitude.
And they even gave you a new one x__x I had to wait 5 days before everything was good as new. After the first fix, USB debugging and mass storage stopped working so I sent it in for another "software update"...
Hello,
Basically, my phone works. I can call, sms, photograph and so on, but:
When I try to flash new rom, via Kies, Odin or other tool everything goes smoothly, blue progress bars advance and complete, phone reboots, and ... I have old rom, nothing is changed, no data is deleted.
When I install new apps they work until I power off phone. After power on new and updated apps are gone, deleted SMS are back, it looks like the phone inside was frozen in time some time ago and all that is going on is going in ram or some virtual machine, and vanishes.
It happened some weeks ago, I cannot recall when exactly. Something I installed was suddenly missing and SMS after reboot came back, but I ignored it then like a sporadic glitch.
I just discovered, that I also can't do factory reset. System recovery <3e> shows, but doing wipe data or wipe cache has no effect. Nothing gets wiped, apps and data remain intact. The only unusual thing I see in the recovery console is:
Can't access to '/system/csc/PLS/system/'
Is it a virus or is it just broken or what?

I suggest doing a deep clean...
Hello!
I uninstalled some system applications on my phone and I instantly regretted it and restored applications from back-ups using Wondershare MobileGo for Adroid. However, although it seems all the applications are working again, when I unlock the screen, I get a black screen - no desktop, no application list, but with the notification bar on top which works properly. The clock and calendar are displayed on the unlock screen and the alarm clock woke me up... I got some notifications on the black screen: process.android.acore, process.android.gapps and process.android.vending stopped working, process system stopped working.
How can I solve the problem? Thanx!
Since you have installed system apps, i assume that you are rooted. Now if you have taken a nandroid backup before attempting this, you can go ahead and restore that. If you dont have one, try to do a data wipe/factory reset from recovery. But before doing all these, put a ROM in your SD/internal storage as a backup to flash if something went wrong.
Do a factory reset.. should be fine but if doesn't work take a backup of you data and re-flash your rom
I followed your advice.
I had problems with a factory reset - I did a hard-reset and when a phone turned on, process com.android.browser had immediately stopped working. The screen (which had a message "touch the screen to proceed") dldn`t react to touch, so I got stucked.
I gave up and installed the whole new ROM in the end.
What an adventure...
I got my hands on a Galaxy Grand 2 sm-g7105. Performed a factory reset from device and the system worked nicely enough. A particular third party app I wanted to use wouldn't load so I kept tweaking.
I rooted and set up a CWM recovery with Odin, then considered going with Resurrection Remix. I made a backup with CWM, wiped the device and set it up. It looked great but 'audioFX.apk' or something along those lines kept crashing every 30 seconds or so. It didn't cause me any problem besides the annoying crash notification, so i figured I could just remove the apk and be done with it. To my dismay, then the notification then piled up non-stop and the system become unusable.
I went and restored the backup on CWM. Then I'd get error notifications for this and that stopping working (basically the apps present on the backup that weren't on the stock rom), so I figured the backup was useless. Another mistake, I guess.
Performed another wipe, deleted the backup for space. Tried removing every piece of bloatware I could find before unrooting (I wanted to do that). Finally everything seemed to roll... except I deleted some important apk, SecDownloadManager I've come to believe, and at that point the Play Store couldn't update a thing, it got stuck on 'Downloading'.
So I did another wipe, just to find out that didn't restore the missing apks. Got my hands on a stock rom for my model (a different build than my origibal one, but to hell with it... right?). I got that working work Odin, but to my surprise that didn't seem to completely restore the apk mess, and I got a ton of crash apl notifications and even after logging on Google the play store didn't let me in to try and see if apps could update.
Finally, I found what is supposed to be the device's original rom. Odin'd it all the way. Everything seems to be where it belongs, but I cannot really check 'cause... NOW THE ****ING WI-FI WON'T TURN ON. It's not like it doesn't connect to my network, it just won't activate. I press the switch, or goes back off.
I tried rebooting, taking out the battery for some seconds, performing a factory reset from within the system, wiping from CWM, dialing *#0011# to access service mode and deactivating power-saving mode. Nothing works.
HELP, please.
I'd be happy if the WiFi just worked, but knowing why the hell a stock rom should give any headache or what I'm doing wrong for it to go so wrong might be a step towards the solution.
PS: I'm writing this as I recall, so the details might not be completely spot-on, but the broader problems were those.
Ive had this i605 since a few months after it came out, brand new. rooted it within 5 min as i got home. only issue i've had with it was the power button and usb port didn't work but i replaced those.
2 nights ago, running cm13 last official version. was just on facebook and i got the boot logo. it's happened before so i didnt think anything of it. except this time, it was boot looping the first logo. ok, something happened to OS, so i went into recovery, erased all but external SD card and installed slimkat, this time it would get to the slimkat logo about 2% and reboot. fine.. back to stock and reroot. INstalled MC3 stock. when it came back up and it did, it hangs on verizon activation until wifi only.. great. go to status, baseband unknown. no radio, bluetooth and wifi still work, but doesn't detect simcard. this phone is my only internet connection as i tether. trying to root with casual and now, even though i can go in download mode and usb is found and i can flash with odin stock rom all day, once i get to android home screen, my computer is not seeing the USB file system, mtp, but it is charging. anyone had this happen before?
this phone has never had an OTA update, was on 4.1.2 when i got it
Update: Loaded back fresh MC3 stock build to start over again, saw a post somewhere about accessing hidden menu,
Go to Phone Dialer and type *#22745927
Enable Hidden Menu
Go to Phone Dialer and type *#7284#
Set USB to PDA, save and exit, rebooted back into android and was able to get USB access for CASUAL to root. FInally got it rooted, in TWRP newest version
Funny thing when it booted back into android before CASUAL root, it showed SDCrd and Internel memory. SDCArd was fine, but internal memory was -1636237227 so i'm thinking that memory is a problem, because when i reloaded stock mc3, it would never boot up after odin, i had to go into recovery and do a factory reset and then it would boot into Android, but no USB access, could get USB access in download mode, but not in recovery or android. I just found it weird.
Now, when i load my custom rom, it just hangs at the ROMs loading screen and just stays there. I'm really thinking this is a memory problem and i'm really upset about it. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to just reset the memory, without messing with EFS.
