Hiya,
I "permanant" rooted my vodafone 858 with z4 root.. and when it turned itself to reboot, it got stuck on the vodafone logo..! The phone won't load, and the vodafone logo repeditely comes up....
Does this mean that my phonen is bricked and I should chuck it away?? Is there anyway to fix it? Please help!!!
Its not bricked, its stuck in the bootloop. Bricked means doesn't turn on, doesn't vibrate, doesn't respond at all. Don't throw it away, try booting into recovery, possible holding volume down while turning the phone on. If you can load into recovery you might be able to flash a recovery rom. But since I do not own that phone, I do not know.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
Hmm... I don't seem to able to boot into recovery.... I have tried turning the phone on while holding the power up/down but it doesn't seem to do the trick... is there any way to get into the system?
Use a jig to get into download mode. I have use that method with 100% success.
Once you get into download mode you can use odin to get back to stuck.
Here is the jig link if you needed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=889128
good luck.
Oh... is there any other method other than jig?? It looks really complicated.!!!!!
well you might think it is complicated but that is the easiest solution besides trying key combinations to enter into download mode.
I build a jig yesterday to help one of my friend that got his phone soft bricked and I can tell you is not that hard. It's just 3 100k ohms resistors that you shape into a tear drop and then touch the two connectors on the micro usb closes to the phone jack... It can't get any simpler than that.
I now it might sound crazy but that is the easiest way I know.
good luck.
Sorry to resurect an old thread but i had the same problem and found this thread... I fixed this with a muuuuuuuch simpler solution... While the phone is looping the animation just user SUPER1CLICK to unroot the phone... the phone will crash when this is finished and leave u with a black screen... remove battery, wait a few secs and replace and it will boot just fine

Hi guys.
Two months ago i received my phone P509 Tmobile and with the help of this forum i succesfully rooted it, installed recovery, flashed new lag_fixed_overclocking_enable kernel and everything was working fine till two days ago when it froze. Now i can not hard reset it, nor does it enters recovery mode. Also when connected to laptop drivers dosent recognize it as connected to USB. I lost already any hope but still maybe some of you can give me an advice. I have been looking on ebay even for a board replacement but can not find it. Any advice guys before buying another phone?
Thanks in advance
Can you boot into Emergency Mode?
It is done by holding the back and volume up buttons while turning on.
No, It goes directly to LG screen and stay there forever. I have tried dozen times...unsuccessfully.
Thanks for you reply
make sure your USB cable is unplugged, pull the battery, put it back in and hold the buttons ilarrain mentioned. Hold the keys down hard until you get the yellow screen. This "should" get you into emergency mode, if not then I dunno...
good luck!

JUST CHK OUT THIS IT HELPS http://forum.xdadevelopers.com/showthread.php?t=883314
As long as you phone is powered on and you have the usb drivers installed on your phone, this should work. (my phone was forever stuck on the "Stick together" welcome screen and this recovered it.)
Download the V10L_00.KDZ file and the english KDZ_FW_UP program. set the mode to CS EMERGENCY, load the firmware and hit the button.
Takes about 10 minutes to force flash the phone.
Hello apparently I bricked my Rom while I tried to reinstall cm 7 or 9 I cant remember from the recovery on clockwork mod I had backup done of that. But then suddenly the phone randomly decided to turn off in the middle of operation. Then the phone wont turn on and if it turns on by some miracle then It just stays at Samsung logo or PC does not recognize it by usb. So I thought that trip to service place would fix it cause i totally bricked the **** out of it lol. Anyways I got told that repair costs 95 eur and that the phone has water damage. Now keep in mind that I keep my phones in dry place and handle them with care in rainy conditions or so. So it is not had any water damage. What impresses me is that they didnt even take it apart. So now im stuck with my bricked phone again and nothing to do. So I was quessing of any specialist could tell me how could I do the unpricking by myself. (Not a noob on tech part) I can sometimes after removing battery and stuff get it in charging mode or download mode but it happens at random.
Maybe u could try soft unbrick ( I think its called so...) The program on the PC will recognize ur phone and it will unbrick ur g5:thumbup:
But please tell me: does the g5 turn on (is it showing any live?)

Well it depends. Sometimes it turns on sometimes it wont sometimes it will start downloading usb drivers while connected to usb and sometimes wont. It just does what it wants but when it turns on its frozen on samsung logo.
Can you get to Odin mode (Yellow triangle)? If you can, try going back to stock. You can get the firmwares at sammobiles.com. Make sure you download the correct firmware. If not working, try flashing ClockworkMod and flash a signed CyanogenMod .zip file. But my problem now, I cant go back to stock. Seems like Odin flashed the stock correctly, but Im stuck at glowing Samsung logo.
Try flashing again?
Yes! Try Odin if the yellow triangle appears. If u cannot get into download mode with button combination try an USB JIG which worked for me like a charm
Odin is the best Option

I reflashed the ROM from samfirmwares but I have the same problem. The phone is stuck in a boot loop after stopping and freezing for a bit at the Samsung sign
Okay. Now when you turn on your phone normally (power button), youll see the glowing samsung logo over and over again right. And it seems to go on until battery empty (I think). Try flashing ClockworkMod instead and see if it boots ClockworkMod. I revived my phone this way, but not able to get to stock.
why don't you go to you're local service?
Hey all, I have a phone im trying to fix for a friend. Im pretty sure he bricked it. It will not boot normally and is stuck in safe mode. I boot to recovery and load the rom he has on the SIM card but no luck. I just want to get this phone back to stock.
It loads to safestrap 1.07 Which after doing some research is quite old. Ive never worked with one of these phones so bear with me please.
Thanks for the help.
Small update, and bump. I havent had time to check it out myself but If I plug it into the computer and try to start it a White led stays on in the front of the screen. IT will not pick up via usb on my pc so I cant charge it or access it it seems. This is an XT910 as well
So I may have screwed up my phone. I wanted to do a complete fresh install and wiped all the partitions in TWRP (except external and usb).
Then before I got a chance to flash the rom my phone died (didn't realise my battery was low I know my fault).
Now it wont boot past the sony logo and I cant shutdown the phone. holding power does nothing tried holding it for over 30 seconds still nothing.
The phone has been stuck at the sony logo for over an hour and is starting to get very very warm.
Does anyone know how I can shutdown the phone to prevent damaging the battery/cpu? Have I hard bricked the phone? I hope flash tool can detect the phone at the sony logo because I can't shutdown to even boot to flash mode
I Do not have access to a computer at the moment.
Thanks in advance.

Hold Power and Volume Up. That should shut the phone off. If that doesn't work, try the off switch next to the USB Port.
When you do get access to a computer, download SUS and do a software repair to restore your phone to stock (only for locked bootloader). Alternately, you can download a stock .ftf file for your Z2 and flash it via flashtool.
Your phone is not hard-bricked, it is soft bricked. Hard Bricked means that the phone turns into an expensive paperweight dummy handset.
Hope this helps

Force reset it like here: http://userguide.sonymobile.com/ref...product=xperia-z1#!Resetting-your-device.html
and do a factory reset. Go to recovery -> wipe data/ factory reset.
EDIT: or flash again your rom / kernel.

Thanks again bro just happy its a soft brick.
Hi guys, I have a samsung galaxy j600fn/ds, tryed to flash twrp, something went wrong and now I'm locked on the ''Samsung'' logo screen
I guess it is brick, though I'm totally stuck at the screen, the phone won't even turn off, so I don't know how to acces download mode to install stock firmware.. anyone can be of help?
EDIT: solved.. of course the solution was just to wait for the battery to be completley depleted, I just got scared there not beeing able to do anything
Wait-
So you just let your phone in bootloop all night (?), then you charge it without turning it on,
waited till 30%, and then you put it in download mode and installed the firmwere?
Does it really work? 'cause I tried to do that before, and the bootloop stopped. I tought I ended up into an hard brick.
I pressed powen and tried to put the phone into download mode, but nothing.
I put the usb on my pc, and odin was actually reading it, so I tried again and again to get into the download mode.
Afret 30 minutes, i pressed power again, (and finally) the boorloop restarted.
Well um.. the phone now is probably at 60%.. I hope it wont stop again, and I hope this method will work.
