I'm looking to debrand mine too, what do you mean by "this method"...also the file at that location is a newer one, so not sure whether to use it or not (I havent a 4shared acct anyway). I have d/l an older one (3.016.00_AAP), yesterday.
I'm finding the "noise" in the modaco thread is making it difficult for me to actually get what the method is, especialy since most of the denizens there are not on Telstra. Theres talk of this bin and that ROM and this recovery or that. Any chance of summarising it in babysteps for me here?
Which root method
Which recovery tool
Which file
and how to use them.
I have a Mac. I can easily get files into the SD card, but cannot easily use an executable tool, 99% of which have been written for Windows machines.
Thanks in advance
Thanks for the link
Thanks for the link, but I am having same problem.
I am currently using version which is 1.100.49_AAP_GEN2, so is it compatible to mine?
I have running 4.000.13 gingerbread 2.3.6 and now using the custom rom gingerouney 3.0 i got it from modaco forum

what should I do to upgrade my Acer s120 froyo to gingerbread?

N.B.: There is no such thing as Android 2.4.

[Q] International Atrix, how to unlock, fix RAM and install CM7

Sorry about this post but I did reading on the forum about unlocking and the RAM issue on international Atrix. Still don't know 100% how to go about this.
I was reading the Atrix 4G FULL upgrade guide on Cyanogenmod wiki http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Motorola_Atrix_4G:_Full_Update_Guide which walks through unlocking the bootloader of International Atrix. But how/when do i apply the RAM fix so that I get full 1GB usable and not 330MB?
I was reading http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1169409 and I am not sure how to apply this fix? Please help?
Am I supposed to be on stock ROM? Only works on Orange FR? OR can I just flash that img file on my current ROM? After flashing this if I flash Cyanogenmod will I lose RAM fix?
I've got an Int Atrix just like you.
I simple followed this guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1302423
U have to use IHOP in the Pudding Thread.
The ram fix only occour when u want to unlock but to stay on the stock kernel of the stock rom i Think.(wait for someone more experienced then me)
BTW I followed that guide, Flashed neutrino rom and i've got no problems in RAM .So you are good to go.
CM7 has the ram fix built in. Once you flash any custom rom, it'll do it for you.
Yes I'm having the same problem I unlocked my Int Atrix and I can't fix my 370ram issue any simple instructions please ?

Firmware Upgrade for T-Mobile Motorola Charm MB502

Dear all, there is android 2.1 (Éclair) installed on my Motorola Charm. The manufacturers doesn't provide any system update. So I want to go to at least android 2.3. I think rooting may be the best way. Could anyone guide me how to upgrade my android OS from 2.1 Eclair to 2.3 by rooting or any other better method if there is any, over Wi-Fi. I'm a beginner to android but I take the risk or rooting on my own. :cyclops:
