Hello everybody.
I've noticed when playing music from my SGSII (No Headphones) that the music doesn't play well. Let me try to explain:
When I play music through the rear speaker, it sounds like the speaker is only playing the "left or right" audio of the track, but not both... You can notice that in mainly in the chorus of the songs. I feel like some chorus voices are missing...
Is this normal? If not, can anyone give me a hand?

I have not experienced this kind of thing. Running frankenstein 2.3.5 stock with old bootloader. Sorry cannot be of more help.

Ok, I've searched on google for a hour, but everyone else is having issues playing music when pushing the power button. My issue is that music stops playing, period. I'll leave my phone playing music, (screen on or off) but music stops playing. WMP, TCPMP, doesn't matter. The music bar is still going, but no sound is coming from my phone. Sometimes it's after one song, sometimes it's after several. I've flashed different roms, even one I cooked myself, same issue. I have to soft reset to get music playback working again, but after a few songs the sound goes out again. The weird part is that the sound works for all other programs or when I'm using BT headset. Example: WMP sound goes out while playing a song, I close WMP and open TCPMP, no sound either, but Need for Speed Shift sounds just fine, and the BT headset works too! WTF?! Does anyone have a solution?

Well dude I have the same problem. It seems your post is too old and noone is going to anwser you. I do apologize I will make new thread and I hope you've already solved your problem.
OK on my new atrix this is just strange. I just got a new atrix 4g 2.3.4 and the ringtones alerts and all are working just fine. However i installed both google music beta and pandora both play through the headphones just fine but not through the speaker. I also loaded up a few mp3's and videos and they are doing the same. I probably am overlooking something very simple but for the life of me i can not figure it out.
edit: seems like someone else had this problem and they resolved it by charging while off, i will try that and see if it resolves the problem.

Ive just gotten a galaxy 2 and find the music audio far to quiet, ive been using an ipod touch for about a year now and to me that sounds twice as loud as the galaxy. its far to quiet especially when im on the bus and stuff and can still hear the bus whilst listening to music.
Any ov you awesome peeps know how to make it louder ? obviously my phone is turned up to max

What will updating it do? Ive got it rooted, will it wipe my root? If theres a link about how to update a rooted then plesse post so i can understand.
Ive already got the power amp beta but its no louder than what im currently Using. :-(

The sound is SUPPOSEDLY louder in 2.3.5 (I personally couldn't notice a difference but I never had a problem with the sound anyways). If you have the poweramp beta why not just turn up the preamp in the eq settings?
I used to use SGS2 Audioboost until it kept my phone locked at 1.2ghz whenever I played music, now I just use poweramp. It supports different eq settings for different songs or whole albums. Really useful for albums that have been recorded with a low audio output
Whenever I play my music, I hear buzzing/squeaking/whistling sounds behind the song (theyre not that loud but still)... I hear it with and without headphones and with different players (stock, doubletwist, etc). Is my phone damaged? Is there a fix? Is it common for this to happen? Ive had this problem since i got the phone.
Any suggestions?

do you have anything like dspmanager / equalizer on? I had a similar problem and it was caused by equalizer.
i had this problem when i flashed beats audio
but mine was louder
couldnt hear the song
just the buzzing noise
+1 to the problem with beats, reflash n remove equalizers of all kind and then see if its solved.
had the problem on stock rom using stock headphones...much less when using a different headset. used CM7 latr on and the problem was less...now it seems to be back..using GTR
Do u have beats or xloud in your rom
Mine has the same issue, stock rom. The buzz goes away when I use bluetooth headset.

Nope removed them all and even factory reseted...
Guys it's from xloud and beat audio ...try the newest version with dps manager ...mine works great

I'm having an issue with my audio on my mp3's.
It seems like it's specific songs that do this but the volume with go up and down throughout the song.
This happens on bluetooth and on the phone's speaker.
Playing one of these tracks on my PC does not result in the same issue.
So I need some help.
Can you download this song and try it from your phone?
Do you get the same issue?
Any ideas?
I am on PAC with Komodo kernel.
My buddy is on MeanRom 6.5 and he has the same issues with his music too.

reboot the phone and try to play the same song and see if its still there.
I seem to recall someone in another thread mentioning that thier music had either altered audio levels after 30 minutes of listening or it had some weird audio interference like wierd bursts of noise.
You have already trouble shot it, if your PC isnt affected and its the same audio file on both devices then its y our handset that has an issue.
