Hi all - did a search but didn't come up with anything....
I have just upgraded my unlocked UK S2 from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 using samsung kies and have noticed that the previous default ringtone called "minimal" has disappeared? Has anyone else noticed this?
The new default seems to be called "over the horizon"?? Is there any way to get the previous ringtone back? Thanks for any help........

I should have asked for a long time ago. Missing a default ringtone from before I started to upgrade the firmware, (dunno what firmware it started with? 2.3.1?). Anyone please?
A default ringtone .
Go on give us a clue as to which one .

I have always liked simple ringtones with no singing or voices. Instrumental or digital. I use Pure tone now.
Thanks for replying very quick!
I just found a search on XDA useful tool.

Hi guys
It used to be a microphone beside the google search widget.
when i was on 2.1 Brazil firmware it was there, but now I updated the phone to Rogers generic firmware and there no sign of that mic .
just wanted to know how can I active that mic again?
thank you
Wow, lucky that you made this thread!
I have exactly the same problem after upgrading my firmware, but on the Samsung I5800 phone (I guess the apk file is the same).
Bump!
Look in your applications to see if "Voice Search" is installed. If it's not maybe that's the problem, I don't know why Rogers wouldn't allow it though??? I could try to get the .apk from my phone if you need it but I can't post this here as it's not open source. PM me!
Hahah I was searching for the same thing today. There is the older version of the app you can download in the Themes and apps section put so fr it does not work on 2.1. The app market says the voice app is for 2.2 or higher. I would love to have the voice there though. I am temporarily using Vlingo but it is kinda ****e.
hi everyone,
so i've decided to keep my samsung galaxy s2 after days of frustation in getting used to a touchscreen.
on my old but reliable nokia 6300, i used to use the calendar a lot to remind me of appointments etc. Now i know the s2 also has this feature, but i can't seem to set a loud tone...all i get is a blip, whereas i want a loud siren type of tone.
Can anyone please show me how i can fix this?
PS: I have android 2.3.3 (not rooted, as i don't know how and don't want to void warranty)
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

sorry lufc and thanks for moving the thread.
i've managed to solve this problem by downloading "zedge" from android market which allows you to change the notification tones.
thanks again
Hi,
I didn't know which section to post this in so i am posting here.
I use my mobile for both official and personal calls and at the end of the month i have to give detailed report of the official calls and non-official so i can bill my company for the official ones. Is there any application on android that for e.g. after you end the call popups a message "Work" or "Personal" , and it will mark that call accordingly and i can export the log later on?
Help will be appreciated.
BTW using Samsung Galaxy SII with 2.3.3 GingerBread ROOTED.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I have a rooted Galaxy note 8 SM - N 9500 on oreo 8 stock rom.
Most of the I can not take the pjone out and swipe to answer.
Before I have s3 whivh had a function of answering phone call by voice in the settings.
Is there anyway to bring it back in this phone by manipulsting the rom or good application.I have tried so many apps in the play store, but none working.
The automatic answer call has no option to reject it
So if anyone knows kindly help me

Having a look on the net for you, I came across this post, if you click on "Jump to solution" The guys says it is possible to do this with Bixby. I am unable to check this as I am on a custom rom with no Bixby installed. Hope it helps.
