Hi,
I installed the latest Adobe Flash 11 update from the Market, but now flash no longer seems to work in Opera Mobile 11.1. However, it does work in the stock browser. Is it just me or is anyone else having this problem too?
Cheers,
morkli
PS: I should add that I installed the same flash update on my SGS2 and flash still works fine in Opera.
i can confirm this, right after update to 11 opera mobile have problems.
Sometime when i am quick enough to click play on video it works but when i just let it go, it shows just empty space of original size of flash plugin or sometimes it just disapear at all - whole flash block in page is missing
cheers

Yes, well aware of that and already tried it. After uninstall of update, Opera reports no flash plug-in. Stock browser is still fine. So, it's like the flash 11 upgrade breaks flash in Opera that even the uninstall does not fix
May be something to do with the fact that lastest Flash Player before 11 was part of my ROM, rather than from the Market. Uninstalled Flash Player 11 and Opera. Googled apk for Flash Player 10.3.185.21, downloaded and installed that, then reinstalled Opera. Flash now working again in Opera
Will see again when next Flash or Opera updates are availabale.

Yes, did that. See post above
Removed flash 11 update, removed opera. Downloaded flash 10.3 apk but unable to install. Failed. Any other idea? Opera reinstall did not help. Flash still working in standard browser. And flash 11 is updating automaticaly. Even after uncheck auto update.

ESPN.com videos?
Is anyone able to watch video content on ESPN.com since Flash 11?? I've been trying to figure this out for 3 days straight and nothing. The Hulu mod doesn't even get ESPN.com's video content working like it used to.

I installed eminence last night, and everything was working fine. The market wasn't updating to the latest version, so I manually installed the latest version from the backup I had done before I installed eminence.
The latest market was then working fine, until I tried to install X10iUser's black market, which then completely removed the market, so I re-installed the market and now it keeps forcing close.
Is there an easy fix, or do I have to re-install eminence and start again from scratch?
Thanks in advance

You should post this in the original forum for that particular ROM. Hopefully, you will get an answer!

You are going to have to use Skyfire for flash content on the web. I use it to watch tv on the web but it does not work with all the sites.
ye i have used skyfire too but i dont want to use it for that
i want to try if i can play flashgames with it, i downloaded an app and it says i needed flashplayer.
i cant get flashplayer installed.
when i open it in astro open app manager it says 0 at filesize, data size and total size....
i had this problem too when i tried installing n64oid.
is this just because the phone cant run it or am i doing something wrong?

There is a version that will install in one of the XDA threads you will have to do a search to find it. I have used it on past builds. Tiad also posted a link to a Titanium backup file in one of his posts. I used this to install flashplayer. It is also included in several of his builds. Search there. I have it on FRX05 but it does not work through the browser for me. It does not do much of anything for what I can see. You will need to drop th .apk file in the android apps folder in winmo then boot into Android and it will install.
oke i am using frx04, so your saying i need an other flashplayer that i can find in this forum?
i go look for it.
only thing i saw was flash 10 still buggy in Tiads post, not a link or something usefull

I just installed flash player 10.1 (here) . First all filesizes where 0 but after the install, after a reboot and a soft reset, i checked the apps form the settings part. The size of FP10.1 was 12,5MB. Maybe it's good installed and you can use it.

Did you try to unzip and put the .apk file from the above link in the Android apps folder while you were in winmo. Then boot into Android and it should install automatically during boot.

I just uninstalled and reinstalled the above by dropping it in the Android Apps folder in winmo and it installed during the Android boot. When I go to manage apps in settings it is there. It does not load any flash content when I am in the browser but it is installed.
i think i got it installed now but the flashgameplayer still says it cant find flashplayer plugin.
I did my n64.apk in the androidapps map and it worked for that so i think it worked too for flashplayer only i cant see it.
thx for your help

I think the video drivers or the frame rate on our system is not able to utilize flash content at this time. I remember one of the Devs saying we might never get that far, but a lot of people were saying we couldnt get this far with Android on our phones.
OK guys I am getting tired, I tried rebooting, clearing market cache, data. I am using void froyo with Franco's v18
And previously in my stock froyo rom I used to uninstall the market updates to revert back to the first version and was able to solve the problem to some extent. But this rom comes with the latest version of market and uninstall updates is greyed out...
The download bar progresses in the notification panel. But the market app doesn't show any signs of downloading at all, no progress bar on the market. And once it finishes downloading, it does not install.
This sucks really, It happens everytime
Any solutions guys !!!!!!
try market enabler. manual download apk file, install it and use it. see if that helps you
Sorry mate no success.
BTW, does anyone have a flashable zip of old market.

Hi Guys,
I am trying to find Facebook and Twitter Application for NT.
Even though i have widget for both, i am looking for Application.
Can somebody help me with Apk..
Cheers!!!!
Im looking for this as well so I will be watching for an answer.
Thanks
Are you guys looking for THE Facebook app, because AFAIK, it does not work on the NT. I don't know about the official Twitter app. I use Tweetdeck (sideloaded from my phone).
I should have said the "roooted" NT
Try this for Facebook

you have to use an older version for it to work

No you don't, I have the latest versions of both and they're running flawlessly.
I'll post the apks in a sec.

I've attached the apks.
Flawless Victory! Facebook app works and Widget too! TY for this.
FYI: The newest versions of both apps work on the NT. The market just won't allow you to download them [another reason I'm returning this thing.] You need to sideload the apks.
even if you went with the KF, your stuck with 8GB without expansion....worse screen, more fragile, etc

Actually, I sideloaded those apks before I rooted, and they wouldn't work once I'd rooted. I went into the Market and replaced them with the Market versions and they work just fine.
@Torrential91
Did you lift the Twitter .apk from a rooted device and if so...what directory was it hiding in?
I spent 45 minutes this morning looking in my old Hero and couldn't find it. I came here to to get the treasure map and you have just delivered the treasure.
Thanks!
any idea where the Google+ .apk might be?

EDIT: For those of you who are rooted, I just made a thread in this forum on how to install apps that aren't showing up in the marketplace. Maybe that will help as well.
I'm still getting FC's from the com.facebook.katana-2.apk.
Anyone else experiencing this/fixed it?

Are you trying to use it on a rooted NT? Which root did you use?
This time around I'm using the Snowball root.
Yeah, snowball-mod has some issues with Facebook and the XDA app... I'm looking into it now.
Hi,
I downloaded the apk via your link above from the browser on my rooted NT (basic root using Indirect's latest instructions), and the download completed. But when I select it (to install it) my Nook says "Cannot open file."
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Do not use the built-in file explorer. It was designed to prevent people from sideloading applications. Check out "ES File Explorer".
