There website says they will give you the lower price.
I purchased 3 of these with pens over the weekend (for me and the kids). Called best buy this morning to ask about the price match guarantee. Apparently, the refund amt was too much for the CS rep to authorize, but she says someone will call me today or tomorrow to verify that I will get the refund. Whoo Hoo! Hopefully, that will be about $720 refund on the 3 tablets and pens!
Mobile site won't let me do store pickup either. Going to my local BB at 10:00 when the open. Worth a shot.
They open up at 9 a.m. here. Still trying to figure out why I need one. LoL Maybe I'll use it to control my HTPC using XBMC. :-D

If I can get this for $100, this will perhaps be the greatest deal I've made this whole year, lol.

I called and talked to them today after seeing this thread. I purchased mine on Saturday. I used my Best Buy CC with the 18 month financing, so my concern is that the won't do the match because of that. I saw something on their site about it. But the guy on the phone said he "personally couldn't approve it, and was forwarding it to the credit department". I should have an answer via email in the next 10 minutes.
I'm hoping that it goes through. I'll update.
They just posted on the door that regular price is $299 and that it was an error for $99 they will not honor the price.

That's strange.
I just got off the phone with a customer rep and she told me that my price was adjusted to $100 and the $200 refund should be reflected in my next bill.

Get the one from BB. It's $299. I bought mine last Friday and I think it's great!.

lol. Which is exactly why I always start doing xmas shopping about 3 months a head of time
I narrow down what I am looking for and then evaluate what is coming out, what is out, and what is just going to be unfeasible to get.
I am most certainly not one of those fools who believes it is always better to wait, I've been burned for doing it before.
On the other hand, I also do my best to balance out my budget and I am usually ok with settling.

I gotta admit, it is the first tablet that has caught my eye.
ipad wasn't impressive, and the galaxy tab just seemed overpriced and rather generic.. (especially at 500$)
BB would be your best bet for finding an open box (They dont sell refurbs in the store, only returned items) possibly on their website though.
You're not going to find them discounted much less than $300, the cost on the item for retailrs is $429, so they are already selling at a loss.
The $299 price was to good to pass up for me. Any lower and we're talking "fire sale".
It's a great device at a great price right now.

It's sold out on the BB web site and most local (to me) stores are out of them here - there's only one with them in stock within an hour drive, so I doubt they will drop the price. Hopefully they're making more of them and the $299 price wasn't just to sell off what was left. I redeemed some CC points for a bestbuy gift card with the intention of buying one, I just hope by the time they get here I can find one...

The promo code is "50OFF" but when I apply it to my order, it doesn't do anything. Their home page has details about items that are excluded from the coupons.
Good price, but the $50 dollars off coupon is ineligible for this item.

We have a ton of HH Gregs here in TN, and I have never had a problem with them. I worked at Best Buy for quite awhile, so I didn't do a lot of shopping there, but my family has done quite a bit and never said anything bad.
And mine from Best Buy arrives today.

I looked into them as well and noticed they have a 20% restocking fee:
If the item is returned within thirty (30) days of the purchase date but any of the above conditions are not met, a minimum restocking charge of 20% of the purchase price will be deducted prior to the refund unless prohibited by law. Any product that was purchased when a mail in rebate was available on the purchase is subject to having the amount of the rebate deducted from the refund amount. Any product that is returned without a promotional item included with the original purchase will have the value of the promotional item deducted from the refund amount.
Given the potential risk of getting a defective unit, I wonder if it's worth buying from them.

I got mine for $59 through Wal-Mart the week prior. Still worth it IMO.

I contacted Best Buy (888#) and requested the $50 credit. I purchased my LG E970on 3/2/12 for $99 and was in the 15 day Price Match by one day. The rep put me on hold, came back, took down my info and said that I would get a call back letting me know the status of my credit. I was concerned that I would not hear back from BB and he said that I would get a return call within 48 hours. Needless to say, no call back so I called back and was told that BB no longer offers the Price Match on contracted cell phone as of 3/2/12. Great. I went back and read the small print details and yup, it does say that. Argh.
Going to go into store tomorrow and talk to a manager and push for the $50.00 Heck for $50.00 I would have returned the darn thing and bought it again. I can play their game too. I will add that I did not receive a call back as promised.
Did you go to an actual best buy store, or best buy Mobile? I went to the mobile store at my local mall and they price matched and gave me a $50 credit, no questions asked.

Interesting, I called AT&T to see about getting an early upgrade (March instead of May). I was told that they could only do 30 days early. My brother had a similar convo with them about a year ago. Seems like it's luck of the draw on who you actually get on the call.

I contacted the store that I purchased the phone from and the manager did issue me the $50 credit BUT ONLY because she didn't want an unhappy customer. She made sure to inform me that company police no longer offers price guarantee on cell phone.....yeah yeah yeah......

If you purchased it, and received it (receive date is what matters) any time from November 27th up until today, you will be fine. Just go to the Google website and contact them through chat. They will adjust the price for you.

Ah, yeah, I placed the order for mine on 11/6 (and that particular order shipped before my original pre-order even processed...) so I doubt they'll honor the request, but I'll ask anyways. I feel like my order was just long ago enough that they won't do the price adjustment, but the $50 off promotion is just close enough to my order date for it to sting.
Just a heads up, if you bought your phone from Project Fi, the promo is apparently not eligible. I bought mine from Project Fi on Sunday and just saw this promo so I called to get the credit and had to jump through quite a few loops in order to get credit.
Wish they would credit me the $18.99 I paid yesterday for overnight shipping since it's free now...
This did not work for me. They told me only orders made from 12/1 to 12/15 are eligible for price adjustments. They did say I can just return my phone and order a new one. Placed an order for a new one. Should arrive tomorrow or the next. Guess it's time to make a nandroid backup.

Project Fi and they refunded shipping and $50
I ordered and received mine mid November assuming the price wouldn't drop so quickly, given Google discounted only the 5X early on. And now I see this...get facked Google. This is exactly why Google and Android as a whole will never come close to Apple when it comes to brand cachet. I can barely understand them discounting the 5X so quickly, but given the 6P isn't even 3 months old yet, and is their flagship phone, it's unbelievable they're already offering such a discount on them.
Say what you want about Apple's ecosystem, at least their devices don't go straight into the bargain bin in a matter of 3-6 months. The amount the Nexus 6 tanked on Black Friday on Amazon was just ridiculous, relative to what it originally costed just a year ago.

Yes same here, there are multiple posts on Reddit confirming the Dec 1 date from Google Customer Service reps (perhaps 15 day price match policy). I ordered a 6P on 11/27 as a Christmas gift for someone. I submitted a return for it today and ordered another one to get the -$50 discount. I know this is cheap, but it hasn't even been opened since it's a Xmas gift. Thankfully Google covers shipping.
I just ordered one today. Will be coming from an LG G4. Was originally going to get the 5x but didn't like the specs of it too much and the 6p was a bit too expensive. Can't wait

I know. I had a VZ pre-order done within minutes when it went live. I cancelled yesterday to get the 150 off and still get the 480 for my S7 Edge. Oh well, in the long run we'll be glad we saved the 150.

Check out the VZW waiting room thread. I spoke to VZW and Best Buy at length about this. VZW told me if you buy from Best Buy I don't get the 480 for my S7 Edge. Best Buy says I do and that they made that deal with Verizon months ago. The idiot from VZ said he saw the promo for buying it from VZW and one for when you walk into Best Buy and preorder it but nothing about buying on line. I did screen shots from the Best Buy site showing that the 480 deal with the fine print that the deal is directly with VZ. Best buy says once I activate my Note 8 I have to take my S7 Edge into a Verizon corporate store and they will take the phone and apply the discount to my monthly payments. They also told me that it takes 3 months before the credit will come through but it's pro rated from the day you buy the phone.
We will see. To save 150 I'm willing to beat up VZW.

Best buy says once I activate my Note 8 I have to take my S7 Edge into a Verizon corporate store and they will take the phone and apply the discount to my monthly payments. They also told me that it takes 3 months before the credit will come through but it's pro rated from the day you buy the phone.
We will see. To save 150 I'm willing to beat up VZW.

Thanks for the information.. before I ordered I thought best buy did the trade in but I guess not ..I'm still looking on eBay and swappa for a trade in device
It would be hilarious if the carriers are instructed to hold the shipments at the distribution centers until the 14th! LOL
Classic story.
The guy on the first shoulder says "You are saving money every month by waiting a week or two, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the phone."
The other guy says "Cancel that Best Buy order today, order from AT&T. You've been using an iPhone for 9 months you have suffered enough. The discount isn't worth using an iPhone for one more week."
Then the first guys says "Oh come on, the iPhone isn't THAT bad."
Then the second guy pulls out a handgun and shoots him.

My Best Buy order status has changed from "Processing" to "Preparing". I logged onto my Verizon wireless account and attempted to trade in my Pixel XL. It shows a promotional $480 trade in value! I also noticed my line is no longer eligable for trade in and I owe $786/24 payments! I hope it ships soon!
