Hi
I know there is a thread with a modded mms.apk but that's only for deodexed roms and not for the stock rom.
I would really like to stay with my stock rom with cf kernel, so i have root but don't need anything else.
However, it seems that nobody has ever made a modified sms/mms app for the stock version.
Why is that? Not possible or simply no one asked for it? I cannot post in the actuall mod thread yet, hence I'm asking here

So I see this has been posted before in Q&A with no answer, so I will post it again here. The stock email.apk that comes with SGS-II is awesome. That is the only thing stopping me from loading another ROM. With that said the question is can I install that email.apk on the other ROMs and it will work.

Most ROMs either don't touch this, or remove it and you can just put it back.

I was wondering if there is a way of getting the native mms.apk from stock 2.3.3 ROM to a CM 7.2 ROM? I tried copying the mms.apk from a stock ROM to system/app folder in phone, but it isnt`t working.

Yes the problem is with stock PQ / P7 as well as the cooked ones.
I have to try the odexed instead of deodexed...may worth trying.
The strange thing is that nobody reported this issue all are talking of icons color or ics color and lauchers...! and AOSP horrible white and raw mail / exchange and other apps...

Hi again. I was wondering how would i deodex the stock 4.1.2 samsung rom in S3? I would like to deodex it by myself because i like the samsung goodies it has, BUT i would also like to change themes using XthemeEngine so i tried one theme called "Blacked Out" but it just changed the notification icons and nothing else, i just made a try but i know that in this state is impossible, so i searched how to deodex stock roms, and i've found this:

After following the basics steps, i get stuck on 3) : i won't deodex any app even if i remove several .odex files from /oirigi_app, but it's always the same. So, i guess i need a proper method for the GT-i9300, any ideas?
If it were by me...i would just install an already deodexed custom rom...but the last time i tried, i had problems with connectivity, i think it was because the default modems weren't compatible with my region, right? So unless i know how to install the proper modem i won't install any custom rom yet. (However..., when i tried Siyah Kernel Dual Boot option for the first time with UltimaRom, it worked fine and i could connect even to Mobile Data from my operator, but if i try to install UltimaRom as my main rom, it would refuse to connect...)

Sorry to post this question fellow members, I've been looking for several days without any luck. I was gonna post this quetion in the ROM thread, but thought it was the wrong place.
Currently running LiquidSmooth 4.4.4 on a Verizon LG-VS895 and just NOW noticed the stock camera was gone. I was wondering how to port the stock files back into this rom. I really miss the gimmicky stuff (like magic focus) and was wondering how to eliminate the camera that comes with this rom and revert to the stock camera.
I downloaded a stock rooted rom and tried seeing if i could move files over from it to my phone, but I'm unsure of where to start. Sorry in advance if this has been posted or if I'm a stupid newb, but this is driving me bananas.
I tried flashing camera mod hoping that would restore it, but that didn't work either. So, this question is based off of a fresh install of this rom.
