[Q] Where do you guys watch your online video? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just curious where everyone streams from.
For me, I can't do Megavideo because I have Adblock installed and apparently Megavideo needs to redirect you to an ad that then redirects you back to a video before you can watch, and Adblock prevents that from ever starting.

I use Megavideo but i pay for the account. $10 monthly is well worth it to me.

I couldn't find it when I searched the other day.
Thanks. I know it is out there, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere.
I wasn't aware of a beta, I'd love to have it as well!

AFAIK, there isn't a netflix beta app for android. Netflix said the other day:
The same security issues that have led to piracy concerns on the Android platform have made it difficult for us to secure a common Digital Rights Management (DRM) system on these devices.

But then they do go on to say:
We live to get Netflix on new devices, so the current lack of an Android-generic approach to quickly get to all Android devices is frustrating. But I’m happy to announce we’ll launch select Android devices that will instantly stream from Netflix early next year. We will also continue to work with the Android community, handset manufacturers, carriers, and other service providers to develop a standard, platform-wide solution that allows content providers to deliver their services to all Android-based devices.

from the netflix blog
So if there is actually a beta app out there, it is news to me and I would love to have it as well
please post!
If there is such a thing, could someone please post it?
Well if they are planning on having netflix capable phones early next year that means they must be working on it which means there must be atleast an alpha out there. It may not be available outside netflix itself but it probably does exist which means someone outside the company will probably get their hands on it soon enough and try to make it available and usable for the masses. DRM? How much DRM is baked into my MacBook and PC that has been stopping me from ripping Netflix movies all these year? None! And they are still profitable and growing every day.
DRM is just a lame excuse for them to sign exclusive deals with manufactures and carriers.

Actually they do have drm. The end user doesn't see it because it downloads automatically when silverlight does. Anyone with linux will tell you, because that drm is what is making it impossible for them to stream netflix.

Luckily I don't stream on my laptop, just from my bluray player.
If someone can get that apk to simply allow for managing instant and mail queu that would be awesome

That apk doesnt actually include anything but resources like images, and layouts. The actual netflix app has to be part of the google tv system apps or something.

Go to the church or basilica whatever and stop watching porn....solved..
There are certain things that normal people don't discuss on a public forum used by people of all ages...just saying.

Orbot: Tor on Android
The above application uses the TOR network which isn't blocked in KSA.
Thing is, you can't find it on the Android market in KSA.
You have three choices:
1 - If you rooted your phone, use market enabler, switch to another country and grab it from there.
2 - Search for the APK.
3 - If you can't do neither of the above, pm me and I will upload it for u.
Good luck.

Android Review Exchange

Hi XDA Community
I stumbled across this website: http://androidreviewnetwork.com/
which promotes exchange of App reviews, but still under construction.
Here's my idea:
1. "Android HRE" will post a link on the blog
2. You download the app from Google Play
3. You HONESTLY rate the app
4. You post a link to your App in the comments
5. "Android HRE" will HONESTLY rate your app
6. Do the same with other user's apps
Do you think we can do this?
HONEST ratings to keep it REAL and HONEST, no 5 stars if the app doesn't deserve it!
I've created a blog in order to do this:
http://androidhre.blogspot.co.nz/
Thanks!

Just visit this page getappsreview.com
Sorry to interrupt but it looks like this thread has some issues...
1) this thread has nothing to do with any app
in the OP. Its an app forum, not a "discussion" forum like you have here.
2) some of you are promoting it and similar sites (its obvious who you are). Some of you even have really obvious names.
3)some of the sites posted are XDA like or complete shams like getappsreview. You don't need to pay (ridiculous amounts of) money to get app reviews when they have them on Google Play and every other app store in existence for FREE.

[Q] My app got suspended

My app named iFreeMovies is a simple list of youtube movies. It's not a playlist, it's searches the movies that orders in a list and you can watch them in youtube player api v3. Using an open source imdb api you can also get some informations in a webview. Unfortunately today I get this mail:
REASON FOR REMOVAL: Violation of the intellectual property and impersonation or deceptive behavior provisions of the Content Policy. Please refer to the IP infringement and impersonation policy help article for more information.
Your app and/or elements of its listing on Google Play, including title, description, logo(s), or promotional screenshots must not include unauthorized usage of protected works belonging to a third party.
Your app icon and promotional screenshots must not contain images that appear confusingly similar to existing products.
This particular app has been disabled as a policy strike. If your developer account is still in good standing, you may revise and upload a policy compliant version of this application as a new package name.
This notification also serves as notice for remaining, unsuspended violations in your catalog, and you may avoid further app suspensions by immediately unpublishing any apps in violation of (but not limited to) the above policy. Once you have resolved any existing violations, you may republish the app(s) at will. Before publishing applications, please ensure your apps’ compliance with the Developer Distribution Agreement and Content Policy.
All violations are tracked. Serious or repeated violations of any nature will result in the termination of your developer account, and investigation and possible termination of related Google accounts. If your account is terminated, payments will cease and Google may recover the proceeds of any past sales and the cost of any associated fees (such as chargebacks and payment transaction fees) from you.
If you feel we have made this determination in error, you can visit the Google Play Help Center article for additional information regarding this removal.
I don't understand. So since I'm not an expert developer, in order to learn, I would like that someone clarify me what's happened. In particular my great question is: What's the reason? The logo, the name, the company name ( I wrote Tuxmind as nickname) .
Help me to figure out, please!
I'm betting it's either you using YouTube images or the name. Apple has a habit of pulling this with alot of inames
I use YouTube thumbnails in the list. It's a possibility offered by YouTube api v3. So Could I change the name from ifree movies to free movies and solve the problem? But I will loose my users. Sigh!
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
Well I'll be honest. The title free movies is miss leading. All your app does is give you a list of YouTube videos. The name implies they could download those movies which is illegal.
Thank you for your answer. Then Free streaming movies or Free Underground Movies... Or something Like that you can't refer to download some Giles. Isn't it?

See your app doesnt do any of that. It doesnt stream movies, and it still implys that you can get movies for free.
Your better off with something like Youtube list or something along those lines.
Watch Movies Tube?

Using a name that is similar to any other brand would get suspended. For example "iFreeMovies" imitates the Apple brand; "Youtube List" or "Watch Movies Tube" would imitate the YouTube Brand.

[EARN] Want an Android Developer for my app

Hello,
I am looking for an Android developer for my app. It is a very simple app. Just a bunch of Info. and videos. I already have my app which I developed but I want to take it one step ahead. The name of my app is Cricket Bowling, It is available on Play Store.
I will require Blogger RSS integration, Youtube/Dailymotion video feed, AdMob.
No complex stuff, want to make it as nice as possible. Willing to pay 15$-20$, pricing can be discussed. No rush, work in your free time.
I am serious about the app.
CR Suthar
I really hope you mean 15-20$ an hour? if not you have no clue how long it takes to program an app. Sorry for being harsdh, just being honest.
