Anker 2400MAH - HTC EVO 3D

Ordered one off Amazon for $20 including shipping two days ago and got it today. All is good right now, we'll see if it makes a big difference.

The picture on Amazon shows it with a new battery cover, so I would say no.

any chance you could post a pic of it??
would like to see how thick the phone becomes with it.

not fit stock cover, but they do come with a extended cover, battery works pretty good, cool than stock battery, and get an extra 35% battery life or more. love it!

I'd also like to see a picture of the cover replacement on the phone. Hard to tell from the pictures on ebay how it'll sit.
Also, has anyone done a sticker pull on these? I'm currently debating between this and the Beast

2400mAh battery for Hermes

looks lke the new back door they provide is no where near as bluging as the 3200mAh version doing the rounds ..... but the picture may be deceptive !!
Anyone got one or used one
I have a 2800mah one I bought from igonemobile.com (via eBay).. the one that is bigger than normal and requires the special case that comes with it. I actually like it since it lifts the speaker up. With the original battery, if the phone is flat, the speaker is blocked. This 2800 works pretty good. Seems to like playing mp3's, wi-fi, and T-mobile internet usage so far. I have not charged it since Friday (Monday now) and it has like 50% power left.
I bought one in ebay (from China). 7€ + 4€ postal cost. It works nice ¡¡

Why did you double post this from the accessories forum?
Whats case do you use?
Hey guys,
you use the bigger Battery.
Which case do you use, no case?
I find no case for the bigger batteries...
Thanks!
Oliver
Yes I was wondering the same thing but I don't know if it would fit into my i.trek charger so it could be a moot point for me.
I guess maybe I just need a good "eyeglass style" case for my device.
A case for a bigger battery
Hey,
do you have tips which case I can use if I want a Battery with 2400 or 3200mAH
Thanks!
Oliver
Go to fortte dot com they make great cases and now have one that fits both extended and regular.
d
so do you guys reccommend getting 2 regular size batteries or an extended. the picture for the 3200mAH extended makes it look crazy big. i like keeping it in my pocket. What do you prefer? Also, what is the longest lasting batterry that can fit in the phone without a different back? Thanks guys. Just got my phone yesterday. Loving it. Trying to get all the things i need.
Good tip, more tips?
Thanks dwella,
good site you recommended. Yes, there a cases for bigger batteries.
But I love cases I can use my TYTN in the case, no need to pull it out.
Normaly I worked with Brando Alu Cases ore PDAIR Leather Cases with open front.
Has anyone a tip for cases with these specifications (No nee to pull out)
Thanks
Oliver

Biggest Battery Capacity in Stock Size?

I'm wonder if there is any batteries out there that you have seen from a brand you trust that use the stock diamentions as the stock battery, eg doesn't require extended back casing, only one I know of is the Seidio's 1400mAh, is there anything higher? Better brand, better price?
the only ones i've seen bigger have the extended batteries. they go up to 2600mAh.
buy one. believe me. its worth the big back/ugly bump.
function>aesthetics anyday(at least for me)
I already have one 2600mAh from Seidio, I do enjoy the extra grip when qwerty typing but I don't enjoy it in my pocket. Thus the reason I'm asking, rather get 2 x 1400mAh batts and shove one in my wallet if you know what I mean
i feel the exact opposite. i dont mind it as much when im not using it. when im holding it i cant stand it. but i do like the fact i dont have to keep a charger handy all the time. i know theres a couple normal size batteries around that SAY there 1600mAh and up but there kind of shaky to me. no brand name, barely even a name at all half the time. i wont trust anything besides seidio for extended life, i have a seidio 3400mAh i think in my tilt and its EPIC.

so it seems like it may not be entirely beneficial to get the 1600(or 1700) mah battery?
Keep in mind that only HTC original batteries have the finest "part" in switching into tickle charge mode (the moment when the battery gets full and quits charging)
2600 mAh battery on G1
Hey guys, so I purchased a 2600 mAh battery for my G1. I LOVE it! My G1 stays on for days! Despite having the extended back on the phone I think it was well worth it.I got it on EBay for pretty darn cheap too. Anyways...I don't have any screen shots of it as of right now but I'll try to get some up. My phone does look like a brick but the battery life is improved so much! Look them up on EBay if you would like to buy one, anywhere else is probably a rip off. Anyways...just thought I'd give my two cents. Take it easy guys! TTYL!
I really want the Seidio 2600 but I've gotten attached to my hard case, it has the hinged feet, and I'm not sure that 1400 would be worth the cash for the amount gained IMO... If Seidio made a hard case with the feet on the back it would be perfect.
Just bought a seidio 2600, 51 shipped from amazon. It's a little high compaired to the 2300 for like 30 or so from ebay, but I think it's worth it for a good branded 3rd party accessory.

people have been talking about a 1600mah battery made by Andida, a Hong Kong-based company. from what it seems, they make quality batteries and some people at XDA have them. it fits into the regular G1 back... it's on ebay: obo_hk or something. $10. otherwise yeah the 2600mah seidio's are best. i just bought the seidio or would switch to the Andida. maybe my dad will let me do a return since the Seidio was bought on Amazon

[Q] How much thicker is the extended case?

Hi,
I'm getting my Pro2 today and since I'm very worried about battery life (I hope to be using the TP2 A LOT), I was wondering how much an extended case adds to the phone.
This is what I had in mind (German Ebay but I think you know what I mean from the picture there):
http://cgi.ebay.de/Power-Akku-Li-Io...4579?pt=DE_PDA_Zubehör_KM&hash=item53e279e3e3
Does anybody have such a case for an extended battery? How comfortably can you carry the phone in your back pocket compared to the normal case?
Thanks in advance!
I don't know if I would bother with a case like that (it looks like it'll make the phone about 50% thicker). With the stock battery, it lasts more than long enough for me to get through the day, so all I have to do is plug it in each night. What I'd do is just see how long it lasts you for the first week or so then decide if you want to get an extended battery, HTC makes an extended battery and cover so I'd look into that rather than a third party one.

If you think the phone is fat now, don't try it. It makes it bulkier but also a bit uglier (and i have yet to see a silicon type 2-piece case for the extended back cover (how are you going to protect it after install the extended stuff?))
Wait and see if the normal battery suits you , then if yes just go out and buy another one plus battery charger from ebay and you are set! If not, well it doesn't really give you a choice. You are going for the extended.

After all the purchases i have inside ebay and seeing the prices of the original models, i'd be nuts to prefer the official against the oem from a seller with proven history!
Thanks for your replies!
The extended case does indeed look ugly, so I'm holding off buying one for now. However, despite my light use so far (I need to get the data connections turned off first), it does feel like the battery doesn't last long at all, especially compared to my good old K750i, which I could use to play mp3s for literally days (which I wasn't expecting with the TP2, of course, but still - that was really nice).
I'll wait and see, I guess. But since the docking station, which I also got from ebay, doesn't seem to recharge the battery fast enough, I might have to look for a solution soon.
I have also seen a 1750 mah battery that isn't bigger at all. It fits underneath your existing case, and it is an improvement of 250mah.
I cannot post links atm. Just google "Seidio Inno 1750mAh Extended Life Battery " and find it on amazon. It costs about 50 dollars.

Hmm, $50 is a little too much for my taste, since I paid only little more that $100 for the whole phone and there are plenty of batteries for less than $20 out there.
I have the extened back and battery. Well worth it if you use the phone alog like I do. with the OE battery I was getting down to less than 20% battery life in not time at all. Now I get down to around 50% by days end.
Google HTC and 74H01486-01M (the part number for the OEM HTC extended back) they cost $12.95 (USD)
When I set the extened back next to the phone with the OEM back on it, the extened back is as tall as the original phone, so it is adding about 1/2 inch to the thickness.
Don't expect to find a case for it either, I have had my phone for 1 year and have yet to find a case that it fits in. I have an old worn out one that was stretched that I can get it into.
@wooptyone: Thanks for sharing! I am back to considering the extended case as well since I will be reading a lot of ebooks with the TP2 and the battery does indeed go down pretty quickly. Also, I discovered that I'm not using a case anyway since I have the phone in my chest pocket all the time. The only downside is the docking station that I bought for it, but since that isn't working as intended (apparently the current isn't enough to load the phone while also acting as a USB port ), the extended case so look attractive right now.
Sadly though I can't find the case you mentioned in Europe and S/H would double the price.

Just received this today, it's charging now so I will update when I have some battery usage stats.

So far my only complaint is that the phone and case is very slippery (i'm used to the silicone case) so it slides easily out of my pocket and onto the floor. I may investigate pouring my own silicone case mold of some kind.
Just to make sure i'm getting the same one that you have took pictures of, is this it? i don't see a single picture on the website.

Why not just use a second battery and swap? I hate how fat it is.
Do not want to hijack the topic but seidio batteries are equally good , if not better
and cheaper

Except with a horrible horrible hump.
The Mugen looks too thick for my tastes but the Seidio one is horrible beyond measure.
Looking at the Seido battery, it is $20 cheaper, but also 400ma less than the other one. Not sure how much 400ma equals in terms of usable time, maybe 30-45 mins? I just wish the Seido case didn't look chopped in half. Mugen case is at least uniform.

I actually don't mind the thickness -- it fits well into my hand, gives the phone some "fill". I usually use a case with the phone anyway, so it's not much thicker than that.
Obviously, extended batteries aren't for everyone. I actually do have a 2nd battery but then I need a place to carry it, and I don't just want it banging around in my pocket.
Another problem is that to swap batteries, you need to pry off the case, pull the flimsy OEM back cover, take out the battery and put the new one in, shutting down your phone in the process. Then you have to repower the phone, reapply the cover, reapply the case, and you've lost whatever you were doing in the interim.
Having more than double the battery power that's just "always there" is a much better option for me, but I haven't fully made up my mind yet.

It's too early to tell but I took it off the charger around 4pm yesterday, and it's now 9am and I'm at 78%.
Once I am down near the end of the battery I will post some BBB screens.
I like the looks of this battery cover MUCH more than the one I have now for my extended battery. This looks so much more professional that the "warts" that the other manufactures have made to accommodate the NFC antenna. Very cool design to get the antenna in there.
Plus, this one gives more room for my Qi Wireless Charging project I want to work on...
just purchased mine. i "liked" them on facebook and got 7% off.
guess i gotta sell my black seidio active case and my tryit black leather flip case now. pm me if you are interested.
21 hours on the battery now . It's still the first charge so these numbers will probably change, but it's at 75%.
Here is BetterBatteryStats:
1. What is the blue strip across the top in the first picture?
I think I see, this is the kickstand.
2. Why is there a sticker covering the entire back of the cover (I think in pic 3)?
3. Does NFC work with this battery?
4. Is the kickstand part of the replacement case?
5. Does it replace only the back battery cover?
6. Can you snap another photo showing the battery actually in the phone without the cover?
7. From what it looks like, it makes the phone about twice as thick... is that about right?
8. Is it heavier?
Im not meaning to be a pain, Im very much considering picking up an extended battery and my experience with Seido batteries has been very positive but I think I like the design of this better than the Seido, I just want to make sure.

So here you can see the stats for today. 11 hours on the battery, moderate use, 1 h 11 m of screen-on time, some bluetooth, short phone calls. On the stock battery, I'd be down around 50 or 40%, but I am at 75% on this.
It's got a TON of power.

Anker 6400mah extended battery

I'm not one to create a post, but I just thought I would share the amazing results I'm having with this battery. I am a very heavy user, so the stock battery would need to be charged at least once to get me through the day. I was very skeptical prior to ordering the battery, however, after all the reviews I read on amazon I had to give the battery a shot.
I received the battery yesterday with a 58% charge and I used the phone sparingly. The next morning (today), I was going to vegas, which is the perfect opportunity to test the battery out. I took the phone off the charger at 530 am, fully charged, did some Web browsing/instagram/facebook etc. I used Pandora and Google maps the entire way to vegas which is a 3 hour trip. With everything at the max settings including screen brightness, all social media syncing and the battery is still going strong. I have not charged the battery since this morning at 530 am and it is now 1135 pm with the battery sitting at 4%. If you're on the fence about purchasing this battery, do it! Here are some screen shots for you all to enjoy:
One more thing, this was all done without wifi. I was on 4glte most of the time, but i also ran into areas where i had no service on the way to vegas. I wanted to see how much I could push the battery and it did extremely well.

thanks.. seems like that's one of the best ones? I heard the stock anker cover sucks
In my opinion, it is the best case for this battery. The stock anker cover is very slick and shiny, however it fits perfectly. The slick and shiny drawbacks didn't bother me too much, because I knew I was going to have the seidio extended dilex case on it. I was more concerned about the fitment of the anker cover, and it fit like a glove.
