Hello,
I have a german unbranded HTC Mozart.
If I flash any 5.01.401.04 Rom, I have a Problem with my Stereo Headset.
The volume is to quiet ( Just if I speak with someone... other sounds are ok...).
I can change the volume from 1 – 10, but nothing happened.
If I flash back to to an other Rom, like 4.06.401 or older I can change the headset volume.
Have anyone the same Problems?

Hi! I also have an HTC 7 Mozart from T-Mobile DE that i have unbranded to Europe. I also have the 5.01 ROM without that issue, but i was just wondering how could you flash other ROM? Because i have flashed the OFICIAL RELEASE for the 5.01 ROM and i'm unable to flash any other previous ROM! I always get the flash write error! Can you help?
I think you have installed the following rom "[ROM]RUU_Mozart_S_HTC_Europe_5.01.401.04_5.71.09.02a_22 .51.50_RELEASE ".
In this Rom is a new boot loader. There is currently no solution to install any other rom. Your HTC is currently "Half-Briked" if I have understood correctly. Here helps only wait ....
I now have the "YardieROM v3" get to run properly.
So I did it:
1. flashed RUU_Mozart_TMO_DE_1.09.001.16_5.50.09.15_22.23.50U_Signed_by_ansar
2. flashed RUU_Mozart_TMO_DE_1.32.111.01_5.65.09.25_22.45.50_RELEASE
3. Launch RSPL
4. Installed HSPL (must not)
5. flashed Mozart_YardieROM v3_501_7720
It has worked for me.
If I first have one rom flashed with the headset is not working and then the YardieROM, my headset still don´t work. Only in the above sequence I get it to run.

Actually I have found that supplying power to the device instantly corrects the volume issue that I was facing (low volume, single channel). Not a practical solution if using as a portable audio device but fine for me as I only use my phone for music in the car.
@sh4d0w86
Thank you for your help.
disabling the tty works!

Bad update!
Have you done a factory reset after updating the ROM?
Maybe you should flash the ROM again and just wipe cache partition in recovery mode (shut down the phone, press Volume UP + Home + Power until the recovery menu appears).
If that does not help, try to do a factory reset (also in recovery mode).
If that does not help either, you may try to flash another ROM.
Have a look at Intratech's Official Firmware thread (=> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278) and choose a ROM that you want.
Good luck !
I guess I have dove into something I should have done my research first..
How do I know which update version I want/need?
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated....

Hi there!
A few hours ago i've install the Vanilla RootBOX rom, i have to say that everthing its fine and working with the exception of volume keys.
They do the animation on screen; Volumen up, down and vibrate, BUT physically the volume intensity stay the same.
I notice this the moment ill start to testing the music apps (Apollo) runs smoothly, but i cant turn the volume down, the same whit the other music player, Google Music and Walkman Player.
Does anyone have the same problem, ill already do the search and cant find anything. Any solutions?
Thanks!:good:
UPDATE
I notice that my Galaxy sII don't detect the earphones, this may have a connection with the other problem.
Please refer to my thread in my sig (the last one). It will help you to get proper answers.

Alright, so a while back, my loudspeaker started to cut in and out, and when i would fire up a game it would come through all distorted or muffled. Upon exiting the game, i could fire up play music, select a track, and it would play fine. But then back to any other application, and it would be muffled again. Notifications come through the earpiece, and eventually no sounds at all come through the loudspeaker. Then i reboot and its all fine again.
I factory reset, and it did not help. I plugged in headphones (and wheres where it gets interesting) the headphones output the same weird muffled quality of sound that the speaker was producing. So is it not the loudspeaker?
I tried to flash a different rom over, still didnt help it at all. Im not exactly sure whats going on, but nothing i am doing seems to be helping. Can anyone help me?
That doesn't sound like a software problem, that maybe the sound producing hardware ( amplifier ) that seems to be working intermittently, just happens to work when you change applications. Is your device rooted? If so, have you tried to go back to stock via Odin installed stock .tar OS ( kk 4.4.2 ) ?

I think that you should go back to stock or stock rooted, via a recovery backup, or installing a new OS. This would eliminate the possibility of a software problem. So if it works good on stock OS setup, great !!! Then you know its not a hardware problem. If doesn't work properly you will have to replace the device. Now assuming it does work correctly, you can reinstall the other rom that was giving you a sound problem and I would try installing a different kernel. The sound driver in a different kernel my work better.
Hey,
so I recently got the P9000 and I am very happy with it in General. There is just one big Problem, I am very used to Cyanogenmod on all my devices so I tried installing it in this phone, everything worked fine except for the microphone and the Speaker, Calls go through but I cant talk neither hear anything. Everytime I Start the phone it also says AudioFX was shut down. I also Tried listening to music or any sound for that matter but nothing works. I then installed the Stock ROM and everything works like a charm so I can rule out a Hardware issue. But the Stock ROM is just not cutting it for me in terms oft usability and options and I would much rather switch back to CM. Tried it again yesterday, clean install and everything, Microphone and Speaker are not working.... Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Any help greatly appreciated.

First of all thank you for the tip, in the meantime I installed Android 7 beta to have a look at it. Is there any way to go back to Stock ROM on Android 6 so I can install CM13 Final Build 3? I have tried flashing Recovery and STOCK ROM via SP Flash but it won`t work. I click Download, connect the phone while pressing the Vol+ and it says Downloading, goes up to 100% but the red bar is still there, then nothing happens. Every Flash of Stock or CM Recovery I did before that worked just fine so I guess it has something to do with Android 7. If there is no way I guess I`ll stick with Android 7 for now but I´d rather switch to CM.
There is a way...it has to do with the Android...it changes the preloader and the boot partition. Take this file from deepflex: https://yadi.sk/d/40K4mWLauUddk and flash with sp-tools. Finally flash the TWRP-Recovery from Jonny with flashtools. At the end do a full wipe and install the cm13.1 (Final 3) and the opengaaps.
Got it to work, I used a slightly different approach but right now I am finally installing CM13 Final Build 3, lets see if it works out fine! Thanks again for your help :good::good:
Hi there
Since I updated my MI A3 to Android 11 the microphone sometimes doesn't record voices !
( I reset and flashed my phone so many times but didn't solve )
Upppppp
If you flashed stock with miflash... Probably the problem is hardware. I have flashed many stock and custom a11 firmware. And my microphone work well. A question. When you reflashed stock rom... You have changed the active slot? All updates are installed on slot b. So if want to make a good clean istallation... In my opinion is better set active slot to a via fastboot before flash. Try this. Also you can try a custom stable rom with oss drivers. But is important to make a good installation. Or the software problems may not be solved
Recently after owning a new car that is my first using Bluetooth handsfree option, I discovered this issue.
It seems the mic got somehow "stuck" to the car when I leave it, as the phone's normal mic then is okay. Just when trying to use the phone's handsfree mic in a call oder video calling in signal or hangouts it doesnt work. Even recording videos using the camera app is fine, but any handsfree option for any communication does not work.
Restarting the device or restarting bluetooth does not work. Somehow the phone recovers after sometime. When, why and how I do not know.
It definitely breaks down again once reconnected to the car.
with other bt devices have same problem?
Sadly I don't have any other bt device that is handsfree mic capable, I just own a speaker that is connected every now and then - it was my first idea to recover it by connecting to another bt device (the said speaker), but it does not work. Of course, the speaker is not connected using the same bt variant, the icon in the phone's settings is different.
mmmm... for this issue, the solution are: try delete all bt connection. if dont work try install latest software update. if dont work the definitive solution is wipe data and make a new clean installation. i suggest do this via miflash
