[TESTING] franco .35 Kernel with Tethering Fix - Optimus One, P500, V General

I'm looking for Optimus One users with a rom based on official LG 2.3.3 who are willing to test a kernel.
I have a kernel compiled from francos .35 sources that I think will fix the tethering problem.
Examples of official LG 2.3.3 include:
GingerLOL ROM (V20C)
AGA-ROM
openOptimus build 2.202.1
Settings>About Phone>Build number GRI40
I'd test it myself but I have a P509 that uses a different baseband and there's been no official update. Also I'm using CM7 and don't have the time to swap back and forth
EDIT
I've uploaded a test kernel. Please let me know if tethering is fixed in official LG 2.3.3

[SOLVED][Q] Custom kernel for Rdannar Overdrive series 2.3.4 GB

Hey guys, i flashed rdannar's MIUI 2.3.4 ROM,
Its fantastic, i find it faster than J's 2.3.3 when you add th appropriate build.prop tweaks.

However the link in second post he gave us; the wifi fix kernel K010 is not K010, wifi is not working, instead it displays as
2.6.29FreeXperia-b8
[email protected]#1
Wifi is not working. It was fine until i flashed the kernel he gave.
Any ideas, like what other link to K010 that will work on this ROM?
I just don't want to brick my phone if i use wrong kernel like the TripNkernel, it bricked on this ROM.
Issue SOLVED,
kernel here thanks to DOOMLORD.

Flash via Freexperia recovery.
May I ask on advantage of installing a custom kernel? It removes frame cap, but 30 fps is IMO enough and wouldnt it drain the battery faster? Are there any other advantages?

new vs old

since now franco starts work on 2.6.35.10 kernel...will official 2.3.3+2.6.25.10 franco kernel better than cm7 rom+old franco v18 kernel?
it's currently not better but wait for a few days then the newer one will be better...

[Q] Is the original kernel unclockable?

So I have heard that the original kernel of Froyo (2.6.32.9 if I'm right) was not clockable. Well, the kernel seems to have got an update in the Gingerbread version (2.6.35.10 if I'm correct) and there is no more touch screen bug so it eliminates the need to put a custom touch lag-fixed kernel on it. The question is, can you overclock the stock Gingerbread kernel (2.6.35.10 if I'm correct)?
i dont think so. however, you can give it a try using the "no frills" app from the android market
OC must be supported by "more" provided frequencies in kernel. This isnt the case in ALL
android stock kernels - even on HTC and Samsung there isnt overclocking supported by stock kernels.
To use a OC app you need a kernel with OC capabilities.
That's exactly what I am asking. Is the official Gingerbread original kernel (2.6.35.10) overclockable or not? Froyo one (2.6.32.9) was not I guess.

how to know which baseband my phone is?

i am using mik 6.5.8. now i found that new cm 7.2 is baseband.
i think mik 6.5.8 is old baseband and how can exactly know which baseband my phone is.
and if mine is old baseband, can i flash cm 7.2 nightly or stable (in future i think) and or CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0-OptimusOne-KANG from adfad666 with no pain?
(i heard GSM may missing if flash new baseband into old baseband device)
Thank you.
They are configured to use the new baseband. Nitrogen supports them both (altrough no data on new baseband), while adfad666's f-series uses the old baseband and new kernel.
If you have 2g , 3g with data working on your phone with cm 6.5.8 , you 're using old baseband .
If you want to flash cm7 nightlies or cm7-Nxx from adfad666 , you have to flash new baseband to get gsm and 3g working

Aspee's fix works great.
OP, if you really want to know your baseband version you can check/change it with LGMDP.exe.

[Q] Ace kernel sources from Froyo? 2.6.32 Searching for download

I am searching for the Ace kernel sources but from Froyo (2.6.32). https://opensource.samsung.com/community.do?menu=1&projId=72&model=1162 on this page I can only download the 2.6.35 for Gingerbread. It's possible to get this source?
https://opensource.samsung.com/index.jsp
search for "s5830"
among the results, GT-S5830_S5570_EUR_OpenSource.zip, GT-S5830_CHN_FY_Opensource.tar.gz, GT-S5830D_Opensource.zip, GT-S5830i_Opensource.zip and GT-S5830I_MEA_Opensource.zip should be for froyo. basicly if in the name got "gb", its for gingerbread. if it doesnt its for froyo.
Thanks, for others the GT-S5830_S5570_EUR_OpenSource.zip are Froyo kernel sources.
