Dears,
Is there any settting or HTC Sense Widget that would show the name of the current cell tower display. I dont know if I am clear, but in old NOKIA 1100 days, the name of the place would scroll in the main screen.
I am missing this one feature that was very helpful to find your location.
Any suggestions ?

To customise the HTC ActionScreen you can change the total number of icons, the size and shape of icons, their position, the image, and what is launched by pressing the icon.
All reg settings are contained within [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch\ActionScreen]
Each Application reg file is numbered sequentially starting with App_0 going up to the total number of icons -1 (for 8 icons, App_0 to App_7).
Each icon can be shifted to where it is wanted by changing the xPos and yPos dwords, the top left of the screen is xPos 0 yPos 0, with yPos being the vertical distance, and xPos being the horizontal distance from the top right of the screen in pixels. This must be a positive value. The image files can be located anywhere, including the storage card.
Any image can be used, so long as it is converted into a *.brn, and matches the dimensions of the reg file.
The "name" registry entry is the text that appears to the right of the image, as of yet I know no way of changing its position other than moving the entire icon.
This works on other devices with the HTC ActionScreen.

Put all the default .brns in \Program files\ActionScreen, import this, soft reset and then it should run from program files rather than windows (or whereever it is running from) to help reduce the size of the windows dir...

Still the same as you used to with WM5, no change in that. You can disable HTCHome in Today Settings pane. Don't forget to restart (soft reset).

I'm using one of Dutty's roms and I'm wondering what registry change would need to be made to make the ActionScreen button go away, and be replaced by Calendar.
I like the old way of doing things.

You may have a shortcut to "SoftKeys" under the System tab of the Settings. If not, look at this: http://www.dotfred.net/SoftkeyAppletEx.htm
It's simpler than using the registry and tends to work better...
Hi everyone. I have a Dual and also a tyttn. I have made my tyttn with the 6buttons htc home and everything works grate, I also had the audio manager on that. The problem is on the Dual because the icons are not displayed right on the home in general, programs etc. What can a do to fix that. Thanks in advance.
P.S. what about manilla 2D is it worth trying on both my htc. Thaks in advance

Did you use the right cab for it - ie used a VGA version ratherthan a qVGA one?
Manilla (M2D) or HTC Home - choice depends on taste and functionality. M2D is easily skinnable, but you lose a fair bit of the calender display - if one is busy, it will not display too many lines of appointments etc. Just give it a try and see. You can always switch between both easily.
Hi, got an HD2, tmobile unlocked, the setting tab is missing the sound and display, wallpaper, etc., the only way to get to them is through winmo (menu-all settings), so i was wondering if there is any way i can get them back to use them with sense. thank you.

on my home screen there is a weather update automaticly and always from town antwerpen. but if i scroll to the real weather panel there is the real location where i am...
can i change this so its be the same?

I think you need to make sure you've selected 'My Location' in 'World Clock'. Try that and let us know.

i just recently bought a htc hd2 and i am new to phones like this , it hasnt got the weather animation for when it is raining or cloudy and it goes accross the screen if you know what i mean ? i was just wondering if there was a rom or app or anything where i can put this on !! and how do i put it on etc could someone please help pleaseeeeeee >>>> Im a NOOBIE

Have you by any chance installed CHT??
Sometimes the weather animation is set to off by default.
If you have it installed add a weather toggle to a quicklink and try turning it on/off and restart sense......
