I recently tried posting a video to YouTube that was taken from the standard camera app on my Eris. When posted to YouTube, the audio codec is messed up. Normal speech comes out massively garbled and then the audio cuts out about a minute in. I converted the 3gp file to an avi on my PC but it comes out tilted 90 degrees when I do that. Does anybody know of a way of sharing a video to youtube and have the audio work properly?
I had the same problem. The only thing i found that fixes it was to just delete the video and upload it again. might take a couple times to fix though. somebody might have the issue solved.....i usually upload through my gallery and not the youtube app, i dont have any problems when uploading from there
I did the exact same things. I even took the file down to my PC and uploaded it from there. It seems like YouTube is not supporting the file format. It plays fine on the phone and plays fine on my PC using quicktime. I uploaded the original video several times and another one and the problem kept happening. I'm also uploading from the gallery by clicking share>YouTube. Any other ideas>
ok here is what i have found out. with my stock video recorder - the sounds comes in for split second then the video just stays on a single frame and doesnt move but the video bar on bottom shows its playing. So then i tried with the Miui camera app i have installed - it plays the video just perfect BUT with no sound. Right now im looking into apps on the market to replace the stock camcorder, found one but it forcloses on me after recording. Its called "anCorder" try it out it might work for u. I know for a fact that the app called "videocam Illusion" does upload to Youtube and does upload just great with no problems.
Thanks Ricky. I will try those.
Ancorder definitely FCed just as you end your video recording. Videocam illusion did great in a small upload test. I noticed the format was .mov instead of .3gp so I think that helped.

I've found that taking a video that's been recorded with my phone and uploading it to youtube results in a garbled mess of audio but the video is fine.
It seems to do this from a direct upload or saving the 3gp and uploading it to youtube from the PC.
The audio sounds like a voice scrambler on a walkie talkie (if you've ever heard/used one)
I've uploaded videos in the past when I had KaosFroyo, but GSB didn't seem to work.
I'm guessing Youtube doesn't like the audio codec being used?
When I transfer videos over from my PC, the videos wouldnt play. It jump back and forth from the opening screen to something else, just back and forth. Tried many diff videos. I'm using moboplayer. Default would give an error message stating it's unable to play video.
The other video issue is when I take video from the phone's camera. The sound would seem degraded. I'm getting a lot of background noise/static. Any help would be nice. thanks.
Any modifications whatsoever?
using GO launcher, that's about it.
Files played fine on my computer using vlc. Try that.
I have been running gTabComb for a month now and love it...however I have been experiencing difficulties with video playback. Regular websites, using Opera, work fine with playing flash video.
However, with an app called, Crunchroll for Anime videos, along with various flv and mp4 files on qq player, the videos appear "magnified." They play as if on a large screen and only a portion of the top of the video appears. Since flashing gTabComb, Crunchroll worked without problem, then started acting in this manner with no changes to the system.
I have uninstalled/re-installed the software to no avail. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to change any settings with this to get these videos to play correctly--without having to go back to vegantab.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm a Crunchyroll user, there is a work around to get it to demagnify. What you do is start the video you want to look at, while it is playing, press the home button (either the physical button on the side or the one on the screen). Then on the screen press the button that shows you all the programs that are open (They will show as small thumbnails of the running programs). Press the thumbnail of Crunchyroll. It will restart the video but this time it will fit to the screen.
I don't now how I figured this out, but it works. And if you are watching a lot of back to back videos on CR, usually you can watch whatever is next without having to do this. But sometimes that's not always the case.
I haven't tried this on other videos that do this but, if it works on one, I don't see why it couldn't work that way with others.
Hey guys,
Got my Prime 3 days ago, everything is working as expected (Amazing product) except one slight problem.
I've been trying to watch embedded video in the stock browser and I seem to be having issues. I'm using stock browser, with the latest flash player installed.
When I get to the video, the screen shows blank and I see in both screen sides a 1 centimeter of distorted colors, which seems to be part of the video itself, but not organized. In full screen view I just see it blank.
When I refresh sometime I actually see the video frozen on some image.
I refresh, switch quality for dozens of times before I get a normal video.
Could someone test the following streaming website for me? mobafire.com/streams (It's League Of Legends game streaming)
(I'm showing as a new user so I couldn't get the link itself posted yet, just add www in the beginning please)
Just choose any stream there, there are around 10 always.
I want to understand if it's only happening on my prime.
Thanks in advance.
Guy?
Anyone encountered this behavior? Could anyone take a minute or two to test the video I mentioned above on his prime?
yes this week end i would watch live soccer on a website with flashplayer
the video was very laggy no possible to pu on full screen the screen was blank
adobe flashplayer was not very good on ics
Also experienced this on both stock browser and Dolphin HD.
One thing I've noticed is that if the page has just one embedded video, no problemo. Plays perfect. Also, don't try to zoom in on the video until after the video starts playing.
But when you have more than one embedded video, it has serious audio sync and loading issues. Oh and trying to full-screen from anything BUT the youtube app will give you terrible results.
I'll give it a shot to try and wait until the stream already starts playing before I fullscreen, but I doubt if it will change anything...
No I don't mean fullscreen, I mean zoom. Fullscreen will always fail miserably. Zoom, yannow, screen-pinching, can get you pretty close to fullscreen.
I see, I'll give it a shot thanks
Can someone that has all video working correctly give the streaming above a shot? I'm particularly interested to know how long, if any it takes you to get a normally working stream.
I have problems watching embedded youtube videos on the stock ICS browser. My experience... If I click play on the video, only the sound plays and the video doesn't appear. If I refresh the browser page, it always seems to work the second go around with no issue.
Not sure why it doesn't load correctly the first time around.
Hi Guys,
I am on .62 firmware (Gingerbread) and everytime I take a video using the camera the file size is very large, around 40mb for a minute or maybe more. So what I did was I reduced the file sizes of my videos by using AVS video converter by using this profile. This significantly reduces the file size upto 6x less!
The videos work with the PC but when I try to play the video using the android system then I get a message that says the video cannot be played. The thumbnails for the videos in the gallery are also messed(just random lines and for some the thumbnail does not even appear). However when I play the video using moboplayer it works perfectly. But this is no use if the video isnt being displayed properly in the Gallery.
So this is probably a problem with the video format. The extension is mp4 so I dont think thats the problem, but I'm not sure if the video profile (see above screenshot) I entered was correct for phones.
Can someone please help me...
EDIT: AFTER JUST LEAVING THE PHONE FOR AROUND 5 MINUTES THE VIDEOS NIOW WORK, BUT THE THUMBNAILS ARE STILL MESSED UP, EVEN AFTER CLEARING THE THUMBNAILS.
