download the beta version of swype. its free

Smart keyboard if you're a T9 fan. I type blazingly fast with it.
Else, boring curve typing with swype beta or touchpal curve...

TouchPal
TouchPal, seriously, give it a try, the best keyboard EVER.

Flashable zip anyone???
Someone should make a flashable zip of swype from the stock rom, that would make life a lot easier for all of us. If the guys using the htc evo can get it then so can we

Why don't you just simply download and install the latest beta from official swype site. Its way better than which came with stock.Don't be so lazy.

Did you tried to longpress on any textbox, and then choose the input method?
thanks, very good
thankssss,
this keyboard is good although it isn't quite as effective as SwiftKey X which really spooks me out as I can complete full sentences just by hitting the predictions.
The thing that really does it for me is the fact I can start typing in english and then when I switch languages in the same dialogue for my French friends it considers both languages as one vocabulary without the need to press anything to tell it that I'm now plodding along in french.
I never thought I was that predictable lol!
Thanks,working great.
Thanks. Works really well.

How to get Atrix's stock keyboard on CM7?

Hello guys,
Anyone know how can i get the default Atrix 4G keyboard back? When i tryed it, before installing CM7, i just loved it... i like the CM7 keyboard and used to use it on my old LG Optimus One, but i could never actualy use it to write e-mails, chat in GTalk and everything else, because the letters are too close one to another, so i always press the wrong ones... but Atrix default one was some space between them and worked great for me.
So, any help? And if it isn't possible, any recommendation about good keyboards? Swype isn't an option by the way, never got used to it.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english :S
not possible withought a port.
try the "LatinIME.APK" mod in this forum, it makes the CM keyboard bigger.
or you can flash Nottachtrix 1.3.1, its amazing !

There is that APK that you install in system/app as root and it gives you a much better keyboard.

[Q] Keyboard on my Galaxy...

Hi guys
I've just flashed this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1817345
I really dont like the keyboard layout, and its not possible to make shift, so that it goes down a line to enter new text.
Can i flash another keyboard without trouble, or should i go for another rom?
I've just recieved the phone yesterday, and it's cool with me to try some different roms here in the beginning.
Thank you for your time
Just download another keyboard from the play store mate.

It Looks like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=zUfOxAIXPxg
I made some Modifications so that it will work properly on the 2012 Xperia phones........
I do not have all xperia Phones so please test ......
This is a ".apk" file so...Root NOT Needed
How to:

Well, The English typing/swiping is quite good.
However, Swiping in other language that are not english are not available. It does not even has predictions! Also it does not do multi language predictions at the same time.

[Q] Alternatrive keyboard for protou

hi there xda i have been using my awesome desire x for few months and found almost no issue at all but i found the stock keyboard troublesome i have a galaxy mini and am used to the keyboard with all smiley support and suggestions
can you please suggest me another keyboard ??:silly:
P.S. no GO key board tried it complete waste of time
thanx in advance :fingers-crossed:
I've used a few of them, but I always go back to SwiftKey. The predictive text engine it has is incredibly good, especially if you feed it your Gmail and Facebook data so it can learn how you write. It will soon have swype gestures any day now if that's your thing. Well worth the money.

You could try this. Don't know if it will work or not.
Also, Swiftkey 4 is out including Swype function.
Keymonk. I prefer this , try it Its really realy fast..u can sweep words with both fingers twice as fast as Swype or SlideIT. Just give it a shot

tried it doesnt work properly but swiftkey rocks :victory::victory:
I'm using Swype.
I was long user of swype but last few updates really slow it down completely (clean desire X and lags) so I went back to SwiftKey. Best so far. Tried using the version 4but I don't like the flow (in my language the recognition is very stupid) and laso the prediction system doesn't predict smileys and punctuation. So I'm back at version 3 and can't be happier
