hi
i have a lenovo a1 2gb internal sd card and bought a 8gb external sd card, the tablet is on gingerbread.
the problem is when i put on something on external card and safely ejects it then major or all of the files\music\apk goes into lost.dir.
anyone knows how to fix that, i tried the .nomedia file thing but it is still not getting fixed.
hoping to have a answer.
thanks

I'm coming from a phone with very low internal memory to one with 16GB. My question is around all the app data and where it would go in a phone with 16gb internal memory and not SD card.
Reason I ask is I would love to have all my apps stored internally and use my SD card mostly for music/pics..
Would this work or will apps put data in the SD if one is present.
another question would be what would happen if I have no SD card for a while, then I introduce the SD card..
All the data would be kept on the internal storage, which would be seen as a internal memory stick. If you put a microSD card in then it will store some data on the SD card but you could move it back by going to settings>applications>manage applications>on sd card
Hello there guys,
i tried to install some apps but i could not, the phone show insufficient memory.
So i opened aplications-manage applications and unsuccessfully tried to move the apps to SD CARD (which i believe is the internal storage of phone, i don't have SD Card). I was surprised with this because there is plenty of space available. any idea what can i do? i cant install apps and neither transfer them to SD.
THanks.
Hey, hmm yeah i can see how that would be an issue. lol
But the SD card referees to an external memory card not your internal memory.
You can install a micro sd card (up to 32GB) into your samsung galaxy s2 through the back. You'll have to open up the back cover
Good day guys and hope you can help me with this. Im running Miui 2.1.6 with Siyah kernel 3.3.1, my problem is my internal sd and external sd cards being swapped or thats how the system views it. whenever i try to move apps from phone to sd card whether via app manager or apps 2 sd it moves my apps to my external sd card which is annoying. im only using my external sd card for media and not for my apps. after moving those apps it creates a .android_secure folder on my external sd with .asec files on it. im assuming that this is a problem with how the phone identifies my internal & external sd cards, i tried removing my external sd card and again tried to move apps to sd card and it says it doesnt have enough space which is crazy because my sd card has 6GB free space on it.
Hi,
I've recently formatted my SD card to be used as internal storage.
Then suddenly all apps and files stored on the SD card wouldn't load anymore, so I tried restarting.
But that's just how I endet up in bootloop. I removed the SD card and now my phone works again.
The problem is that my SD card doesn't and I can't even format it.
Do you think the SD card has just stopped working or is that related to it being used as internal storage?
I have a HTC One M8 with a nightly of CM13.
Thanks in advance
upgraded to marshmallow and had both the internal sd and external sd as one (using it as storage)
This turned out to be a bad item and the external sd failed (possibly due to too many reads and rights)
I noticed my internal sd card stopped being able to install apps. On further inspection in Root Explorer external sd card is a folder, but 'sdcard' almost looks like an inaccessible link/normal everyday file. Pressing it in REplorer says that it's not mounted. Yet it is the internal sd card...I can also see how much space its components are taking up under 'storage' in Android OS.
My question is how do I fix this? Most apps get installed to internal sd. I have read on XDA that sometimes kitkat would make inaccessible/encrypt the internal sd card, how do I diagnose this is my problem ,and if I find out it is,how do I fix it?
