I have tryed the steps that are posted in the Dev forums without success. I was using Win XP professional with ADB working and still does. G Tablet info : Beast 2.2.1 with CWM 3. Somthing (for BL 1.2). Apon some researching I came accross using Ubuntu to load the .tar file to the external SD card as well. None of this has worked for me. The method of using adb with windows never was able to get passed formating the external SD card to ext3, and had errors while extracting the .tar file onto the root of the micro SD card using Ubuntu. Would love to get this to work and having it dual boot through CWM. Thanks in advance.

I need to repartition my SD card for changing ROM on my HTC Desire. I planned on using GParted for the task, but so far I have failed to get the SD card to show up in GParted. What I have tried so far:
1. Plugging in my phone to my MacBook I can see my device and in Disk Utility both partitions show up (although obviously the ext4 won't mount).
2. Booted GParted in Parallels but the device won't show up
3. ...so I tried booting my mac with it, but still, the device won't show up.
4. Tried booting a PC off GParted. Still no device!
5. Plugging the SD card into a Samsung Galaxy S and tried the above again, still without success.
So problem persists, I cannot get the SD card to show up in GParted! Do you have any idea how to make it work?
Try to use card reader. I'm sure it can detect when you use it. I'm a fans of gparted.

Alright, then I need to rest my restless mind and wait for the holidays to pass so I can get hold of one! Thanks.
Hi all.
Here's the situation:
I have a 32 gb Sandisk (unsure of the class) sd card I've used with 2 different phones for at least over a year now. I took the card out of my phone to connect it through my laptops built in card reader for the purpose of transferring large files (card reader speeds are much faster than usb mounting through the phone for me). When I put it in the computer Windows wouldn't recognize it. Now it won't mount in my phone at all, and it won't work correctly on my PC. When I connect it to my computer it says the card needs to be formatted before use, but then when I go to format it, it shows up on the Windows formatting screen as only having a 30.6 mb capacity and I get the message "Windows was unable to complete the format" whenever I try to format it, no matter the settings.
So my question is, how do I get the darn thing to work again? I think something must have happened between shutting my phone down to remove it and putting it in my computer. I just don't know what. Anyone else ever experience this? (I've already given up on recovering all of my files, but if it's possible to save them that would be amazing )
Things I've tried:
formatting via Windows
formatting via android
formatting /external_sd via Clockworkmod recovery
a couple different data recovery/partitioning programs (Partition Wizard and PhotoRec/TestDisk
also using "chkdsk" in windows command prompt returns saying that the disk is in the "RAW" format.
Additional info:
Phone: Motorola Droid RAZR HD (XT926) (Verizon)
ROM: XenonHD 11.01 (Android version 4.2.2, AOSP based)
Sorry if this is more lengthy than necessary, just trying to be thorough and cover all the bases!
Thanks in advance for your help!
I was having some issues with my phone and figured I'd do a full wipe Internal and External -- So, I wipe the SD card and then xfer the Rom files over and then wipe the Internal and install the Rom. Install went fine but I noticed shortly after it was constantly rebooting about 20secs after booting up. So, I was going to try another Rom, but this time when I plugged the phone in (usb > mac) -- it couldn't recognize the SD card. So I try the windows laptop, same thing. So, I formatted the SD card with the computer. Now, TWRP still won't mount the SD and any files I put on the SD card, TWRP doesn't see it. Any ideas here?
I tried this from another post but it didn't help:
Fixed. Here's what I did.
Mounted via TWRP
Reformatted drive in Windows (desktop)
Copied new ROM zip to drive
copied boot.img (from rom zip) to drive
Wiped, Installed ROM via TWRP
Rebooted to bootloader
Applied boot.img via fastboot
Rebooted
worked.

Have you tried another SD card to see if the issue persists?

I used the Transformer to format the SD and used AirDroid to xfer over rom files -- I noticed TWRP sees it under SDCard2 now. I got it installed but something I noticed that is odd is that when I plug it into the Mac or PC it's seeing the older files I had on it. When using the explorer in droid or airdroid it only sees Carbon's rom file on it. No idea what's going on.
Hello, I rooted my ICOO iCou D70G2 and managed to softbrick it into a loop at the Android messages. I bought another, identical tablet, and would now like to clone the new one into the old. I would very much appreciate complete, newbie level instructions on how this can be done.
Here is what I have tried so far.
I looked for a stock ROM for this device, but can't find one. The closest out there I could locate is for a D70Pro II. I don't know if it will work, and in any case, I still can't figure out how to flash the old tablet.
The old tablet does go into recovery mode using vol up and power. I tried putting the Pro II flash on the micro sd card (tried both img and zip, separate times), but the tablet isn't seeing the micro sd card in recovery mode with the update from sd card option. It shows a folder /sdcard with some seemingly empty subfolders, but even if I take out the micro sd card it shows the same set of folders and says choose a package.
I tried using the Intel USB drivers with adb, but the device isn't recognized in recovery mode by adb. Rockchip Batch Tools 1.8 also doesn't see the device, although it seems to load the ProII img file correctly.
It would be really great to get this old tablet to work. I don't have any CWM, TWRP or any other backup software on either device at this point. The new device is new from the box and not rooted.
Hi, ive got this old bricked tablet, cant enter recovery mode, not recognized in windows when in fastboot mode, nothing working basicaly,
i want to flash it and i CAN'T, its getting frustrating after 3 days i decided to ask help here!
this is where im stuck:
i want to use Rockchip SD disk tool 1.59 to make a bootable SD card for automatic flashing.
First sd card not working, SD disk tool keeps saying loading firmware failed, ok buy a new SD card San disk 16gb
perfect it works!i managed to create a bootable flash IMG but its not flashing or doing anything when powered on with sd in it.
so i try to reflash it on the card, and it keeps giving error again now even on the new SD card : Loading firmware failed! I tried using SD card formatter to format the card, still loading firmware failed!
somebody please help me before i lose my sanity, i cant sleep because of this i want to handle it so badly.
edit:
oh and i dont think usb debugging and oem unlocking are turned on and i cant check!
EDIT 2: OK so i figured out how to fix the loading firmware failed, on the SD card formatter i had to tick the box , overwrite format! this fixed it, but the main problem still remains, the tablet wont boot and flash from the SD card.
EDIT3:
solved by flashing stock rom using fastboot in linux, or maybe Linux_Upgrade_Tool_v1.2 , i cant remember which of these worked in the end, i just know linux upgrade tool was hell to use, with chinese instructions
