Try ext2 or 3

Hi, I have a few questions about apps2sd. I'm using CM6 v2.1 by Slade
I've created a 2gb ext3 partition on my sd card, how do I install apps on there instead of the original Fat32 partition?
Will having a partition for apps2sd be pointless as cynogenmod can install apps on Fat32 'automatically' anyway? What are the advantages of having 2 partitons?
Thanks.
due to the fact that cm6 can install to the fat partition it is pointless having an ext2 you will just lose out on space because of formatted capacities i believe so i would just install to fat and delete ext2
Until today i was using ext3 on my sdcard (single 8gb partition) with slade froyo v3. Then i formated the card to ext4 to se if it was supported. Unfortuly my phone didnt recognized it. So i just reformated back to ext3, but the phone doest regonize it (but until i formated the sdcard he never complained). So now im back to vfat partition. And i would like advices on how to make it acept the ext3 again

I have a sony ericsson x10 mini pro with custom rom minicm7 pro. I formated my sd card with MiniTool Partition Wizard in ext4.When I put the sd card on my phone it says damaged card. How can I fix that?
Format again without the ext4 partition. You can try formatting via Partition Tool, CWM Recovery or even on your Xperia

Hello guys does this phone support a2sd meaning increasing internal memory by partitioning sd card ?
Do you mean app2sd where you can install apps to sd? The Rom X10S now supports stock app2sd but no re-partition needed with 2.3.3 stock just use settings to manage apps and click 'move to sd '

No I meant mounting a part of sdcard as internal memory, for example my phone's internal was 250 MB no it is about 4 gb, and I guess the x10 is the same

Interesting and I thing thats possible with simple script with in /etc/init.d . Know how to test it, but I am sure that sdcard partition must be in same FS and dont know how to format in unyaffs - my linux distro doesnt provide this FS formatting.
However X10i has 450MB of user memory, which is with regular App2SD sufficient for almost eveyone
I have an old zip file called data2sd. I think this moved the cache file to sd card. no sd card changes, will dig it up if you want to try.
