I needed a stand for the TF but I didn't wanted to spend any money so I asked my father-in-law to make one... here's it is

The stand has 4 positions and works in landscape and portrait. It also can be closed for storage and transportation.
Hey, that's really cool. I also made a stand, but mine is not adjustable and only works in landscape. That's very ingenious of your father-in-law to make those grooves on the bottom. I'm also diggin the leather wrap on it.
Very cool
Thanks for your comments guys!
The leather give it a really nice smooth touch... it also protects the TF and keeps all 4 wood pieces together.
I'll post some pics with the TF and the stand closed when I get some free time.
Cheers!
very cool, much nicer than just a plastic one
Wow
Nice works.
At first sight I thought it was a book.
Really nice stuff.

I found some bookends and bent them to a certain angle for my g-tablet.
Now have to hunt for the case and the Anti-Glare SP.
Not too shabby.
That looks nice! Paint it flat black and you have a nice stand!
I need something like that, I was thinking of asking one of my coworkers to weld me a stand with thin steel bars to my dimensions.. Though this looks easier to make.

Just saw your bookend stand and dug through my closet. Happened to have brand new black 6" bookend that works perfect. Thanks for posting the idea, saved me some money!
I found this bad boy at Michael's for $3.99. What I like about it is that it is infinitely adjustable, so you can position the G-Tab upright, or lean it way back to make it easier to type with both hands. It also folds pretty much flat, and can easily fit inside the $5.99 Sears case. Bought two, one for home, one for the road.

Thanks for the tip, I did the same (a old bookend) and I am very happy with it. now, I can use the G-tab as a 10 inch picture frame at work as well (just make sure turn off the auto-shut off feature for the screen + plugin AC power).
So I went to Walmart after hearing I might find a stand for cheap and I was surprised at the results. I got a decent stand that fits the g tablet in landscape and portrait mode for $1! I did test fit the other ones but settled one the $1 and the $3 ones. I have to say the cheaper one is my favorite. I just put a bit of tape on the bottom so it wouldn't slide, even though it holds it firm. I would suggest this stand to anyone that needs a temporary stand. I have uploaded all the ones I seen at Walmart. Here you go, have a look.

Thanks man I splurged and got the 3$ stand. I liked it because I can fold it up. Definitely works like you said it does have a tendency to want to slide but other wise perfect. Thanks for posting.
I have been using a business card holder as a stand. Works great in landscape, but not portrait. $2 at staples.
Little glue does the trick
i picked one up aswell. But after doing a quick browse thru walmart's clearance aisle, i found a get-a-grip pad for $4.
So i cut the pad (4 strips) and super glued them to the stand. Now i have a no scratch/no slip stand. I love being crafty
I got one of those transparent stands shown in the first set of pics. Works fine, actually, and looks like it belongs with the pad.
The folding and lightweight nature of it is great too.
I might try this, thanx for the idea!
I bought a book gem from amazon. It works really well and it folds nice and flat so it fits in my case perfectly. I use my GTab at work so having it sitting up is a must. The position makes typing really easy and quick.
Another nice thing is that I'm able to use it in portrate mode and hang it from my steering wheel so I can read my book (Kindel app) while I'm sitting at Sonic having lunch.
Sorry, can't post a link, but here is what it's called.

I use the same exact stand and I love it. My fiancée was the one who suggested it would fit and I have been using it every day since. Love that it folds up and and travels in my back pack perfectly. Great idea with the get a grip, I'm doing that asap!
My wife and I teamed up and made a leather case for my G-Tablet. Turned out pretty good. Used an old second-hand leather jacket that was given to me years ago for free that I never wore, a book from work that somebody was throwing away and cut it up for the covers, and a little elastic we had laying around. We had enough leather from the old jacket to make two cases actually, and I am finishing the second one. I used a downsized 3 ring binder for the second one and it will be nice also. Here are some pics of the first one...
Wow, that looks really, really good. I'd buy that if it was available lol.
Nice work, looks classy.
Looks good
Thats a good idea. Nice
Thanks for the comments! It is holding up well with daily use. Her idea to put the seam across there. People see me carrying it now and have been asking me "Is that iPad?" Then I say what it is and open the case...which always seams to lead to people having no clue that there were other viable tablets out there. Then I show em the speed and interface and tell them the differences, and they are usually wondering why iPads cost so much more... BTW - I sold my new 4th gen iPod touch to buy the G-tablet and have not regreted it
Good job!

Great Leather case too!
Very impressive, I just wish I was a better tailor. How many hours did it take you for each?
Wow, that is very nice. You guys got skills! Maybe beter then my nunchuck skills...
Great Job. You should look to mass produce it. I would get one too.
Looks nice
Wow, I had to resurrect this thread. That case looks super cool. I'm sure you don't have a lot of time on your hands, but would you mind giving me/us a brief Tutorial on how to make one? I would really love to try it out.
Thanks,
Scott
Now that's some Suzy Homemaker gangsta sh*t right there! LOL
I have trouble sewing a button onto my shirt. Nothing but props.
That is so awsome! Not only do you have a personalized cover you can be proud of, but you reused something that were otherwise useless. Its green and classy!
how much leather do you think you used?
I wonder if he sold his tablet. No responce yet :-(
is it keyboard-compatible like the other tuff luv cases? how much did you pay for it, where did you get it? does it come with a screen protector?

I dont have the case but I strongly assume that if you buy the keyboard-compatible hemp one its made on exactly the same lines as the Pu and real leather ones. Why shouldnt it fit?? And as tuffluv doesnt really have resellers there is only one price, although if you almost go through to the end with the buy and then close the window (having entered your email address somewhere) tuffluv usually sends you a 10% code after about 2 hours to get you to buy the case.
hi
I ordered one yesterday.. will post a couple of pictures for you when I receive also review. There is a thread started earlier if you want to look. A couple of people have received the hemp case saying it was very good. I ordered mine via quidco any got 10% cash back. Wish I had known about a possible 10% code.
I bought a cheapish plastic case from ebay already. Hoping this hemp case will be worth the extra cash.....
Mine should be on the way as well... Will try to post back once I've spent a few days with it.
where did you guys buy it from? the tuffluvusa website doesn't seem to have it, and if i were to buy, i would like to do that coupon trick...
they're just a bit too expensive it seems.

There's a good review of the "veggie leather" one on transformerforums: http://www.transformerforums.com/forum/asus-transformer-accessories/2508-review-book-style-keyboard-case-asus-eee-transformer-3.html
Please delete - unintentionally posted same info in post #3
I bought one. They are very well made and cleverly designed to work with or without the keyboard. In the end, however, I sent mine back as it added too much bulk and made the whole thing quite heavy. Perfect if you're not bothered about that. Certainly seemed to provide a lot of protection.

I have one as well--Hemp/chocolate. Full tab and keyboard case.
I agree that it adds some bulk and weight when the tab is docked to the keyboard and the whole case is on. I don't mind it though, because it does add a lot of protection. Also, with just the tab and its case, it's not too heavy, and makes it easier to hold for extended periods.
Overall the build quality of the case is incredible--you definitely get your money's worth here, even though it's rather expensive. The materials are very good, the stitching is excellent, and everything lines up and works exactly as it should. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the case unless you're looking for something slim and trim.
Forgot to add--you can dock the keyboard to the tab and leave off the keyboard case if you want to reduce bulk--the regular tab case will close over it and mostly protect it while closed.

Do you mind posting some pictures? I would love some that give a closer look at the hemp material.
The only sticking point on the design of this case is that stand on the back. I've never really been a fan of those. Can you take a picture of the hinge for the stand? I wonder how hard it would be to take it off... Yes I understand that would leave the snaps bare, but I think I have a work around for that.
+1 on the pics
mind doing some without the keyboard case? it does look a bit chunky without it. i figured if i get the non-keyboard version, i'd save some money, and keep the device fairly slim.
I'm actually in the other camp. I think that it will be fine without the keyboard case, but am more interested in some pics with it. If anyone can take a few minutes to just post images (with and without the kb case) that would be great. No need for another full review since I assume the build quality is as solid as other users have claimed.
still interested in pictures?
My tuff luv hemp case for tablet and keyboard ust arrived. So if anybody still interested i'll make some pictures

Yes please. Just need to decide between the Leather or Hemp. I'd like to save the loot if the Hemp one looks nice. Your opinion of the material would also be appreciated.
here are some photos
Enjoy the pictures. Let me know if you want specific photos
The material feels very nice. And it feels very well protected in the case. But it does put on some weight and size. Acceptable to me but could turn off others.
It also looks very nice.

Can you post pics of the stand and how it stay closed? THX
The stand is attached with snaps. This allows the keyboard add on to snap in between the stand flap and the back cover.
I would love one picture of the left indide cover. From the first image, it appears that the flap and other pieces are black. Is that leather or fake leather or something else?
I'm pretty much sold on this and will order mine tonight. Thank you VERY MUCH for the extra images.
Finaly got my slim case from sikai.
Took them almost 3weeks but glad I got it.
Made some quick pictures for you lads.
LINK TO CASE ON EBAY
Quality is ok for the price. $24,99
Edges could look a bit nicer but they are sturdy.
The tablet fits perfectly and everything is accesable.
Can't use the keyboard dock with the case though.
I love the fact that to front flap folds back easily so it's not in the way.
Kids tested the case.....sadly.....but all is still well so passed that one.
8 points out of 10 for me.

Updated main post because it just sucked.
Making a decent thread with a phone is not the way to go.
If you have any questions or requests just let me know!
looks pretty nice, hard to tell from the picture, but it seems to have a good texture
I also bought one. It is properly matt black, it looks a bit grey in the picture. For me, it is perfect, the stand works well, and it is the thinnest case I can find. Even the type of velcro used is particularly thin. All ports are accessible, and has the added bonus of my micro SD card not falling out any more (probably applies to any case though).
Thumbs up Sikai.
Seems like this might be my new case. Had a very similar one since I got my prime, but it's getting a bit worn out. Time to check this one out.
Case still holding up great and kids tested it thoroughly
