I want to run the stock rom which is odexed. This mod is a must. I will donate to the person that puts this together for me.

This is not worth people's time.
In an odexed system the apks are broken up between the apk and an odex file.
A dev would need to put both of these together make the mod then create some way to make an odex file that works.
To my knowledge this is impossible with the tools available to us now.
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news

would like this as well...
If you have SBF 1.2.6 (AT&T stock version) installed you can use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12431648 .
If not you should ask the developer if he can update it (he promised to me that he will do but maybe you could push a little bit )
I have a bell Atrix, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

still looking for this, if any devs can help out a donation can be arranged
You can use the version from my link if your system is deodexed.

it needs to be bell friendly, is it?
No, I don't think so, sorry.
This would be awesome. Has this been found/developed elsewhere? Would love it if so.

http://uot.dakra.lt/ just get the framework res from your current rom, and you can do whatever you want really easily with this site. much better way of doing it as you get what you want and you can just do it again when theres an update to your rom, read the how to on the website if you dont know how to use it, make sure you choose amend scripting on the file upload tab
Hi everybody,
I've tested flashing custom UOT themes on Gingerbread and they work just great. I've included a link to the stock android files so you can now cook your own custom themes in UOT Kitchen. The only elements that don't work are boot animations lock screens. Use amend scripting and load up the two files in the zip below and you're good to go. Have fun! Once you have the zip from UOT, just flash it like a rom in recovery.
Download:
https://www.box.net/shared/ueuslkzquip0bksvucva
Zip contains framework and system ii files for stock GB. May work on ROMs but untested.

No, no, no, perhaps I should clarify. These are the files you need to plug into UOT kitchen to make YOUR OWN themes. You can make a gb theme if you want...it's all there.

Makes me sad, i was going to use it xD
seems like a good site just its been updating sence yesterday
if you pick something that doesnt work will it just not work or will it brick and force you to recover?
It just won't show. It's not really optimized for stock motorolla stuff and some of our files have wonky names compared to stock android stuff so things don't match up. When we get true custom ROMs we will be able to do more. At this point, everything is essentially reskinned and reworked blur under the hood.

edit: nevermind.
Anyways, useful post! Thank you.
Ok the kitchen is back online so you all should be good to go. Remember these files are for stock GB and may not work on custom ROMs. Use at your own risk!

Hey, euro, could you somehow possible post a zip for the default theme so that we can go back to that if we so desire? By that I mean the default gb one specifically on our x2s

Actually just replacing your modified APKs with the stock ones above should take you back to stock. If you want a flashable zip I can make one but it might be a while.
You can also flash themes on top of each other if you don't like how it turns out.

You have to open a copy of your framework-res and change out the icons you want ( make sure their the correct size and name)then close it back up and either push the apk or make a flashable zip to install it or you can go to uot kitchen and pick from the icons they have( for that you need a copy of your systemui.apk,framework-res.apk and com.HTC.resource.apk)
now the voices are customized in 3d
Thanks for your help... But can you provide me with a link please? I need to read about it lol

battery (on sense 3.0+ roms) is in framework-res.apk
all the other icons are in SystemUi.apk
you can edit them with gimp photo editor
you can use 7zip to extract them out to edit, and 7zip to put them back into your apks.
Go to the theme intro link in my sig and read about it, feel free to ask questions too.
there are tons of ways, the simplest by far is the Universal Online Theme Kitchen, UNLESS you are aiming to simply use someone elses theme.

It seems most of the mods popping up for EVO LTE require a deodexed ROM. Is this the way it is going to go? I know little of the differences. I'm running pure rooted stock. That is ODEX, correct?
I would need to flash the pure stock Deodex to use the mods I'm seeing.
Thanks beforehand for your answers!
What mods are u trying to run? The apple function and google wallet fix only require u do a build.prop edit.
Sent from my EVO using XDA
Yes. Stock is odex. ROMs that are odex tend to have apps on hand ready to load faster, as the odex for the apk keeps a bit of the app preloaded and ready to open. But deodex is much easier to mod and theme.
At least, this is my understanding from the last few years of reading. Some prefer odex. I do not. Deodex makes it easier to mod /system on the fly.

can you mix and match? I believe you can.
I'm running stock odex rom but I copied over the modded deodex camera.apk. deleted the camera.odex of course.

I was just reading about this yesterday.

I've searched for answers as to if the UOT kitchen works on ICS and am getting mixed answers (plus all the Q's are from back in January-March). So now that its is June almost July I turn to you and hopefully someone will have an answer as to if it does or doesn't work.
If it doesn't doe anyone know of an alternative way to edit the battery and the status/dropdown menu??
Thanks!
According to the homepage at UOT, the first thing on the feature list is battery mods for ICS ROMS.
It works. Change the update-binary to EMMC (under the file upload tab).
Flashing LilChris' Phonebricker rom gives you a kitchen app full of battery mods, bootanimations and more to switch out on the fly. If you're unhappy with what's included in the rom, the options themselves are more than enough proof that the kitchen is stable and fully working with ICS.
