Hello,
i wanted to ask if it is possible to mod the stock camera app somehow with the goal that flashlight would not be always on but flash one or two times before taking picture and of course when it is taking the picture. I mean some other camera apps like vignette can do it like this (but stock camera can take better photos), and this isnt draining battery that much as in stock camera.
So if other camera apps can do real "flashing" flashlight, it has to be possible to mod the stock camera app to get flashing flashlight when taking a photo..
What do you think?

M8 There is no way to do like you think
You just think about Xperia X10 .....
our x10 is start from android 1.6 to until now,,
no android version has camera flash light auto,.......
I don't know how to explain here but you can guess if think properly

Now i've been enjoying my sgs2 for 5 months and i love it but the only thing i dislike about it is that it doesn't make instant shots (like the iPhone) . I believe that would really put it on top .. And I was wondering if any developers could edit the camera app to do that, or add a special mode? maybe anyone knows some camera app that does that (not special effects ones like papercamera )

Anybody know of a rom that has the stock camera app, with the calling screen attached aside from jj hybrids (im on it now)? Heres the link for the rom i have but i have 2 problems, the brightness is noticeably dimmer than other roms even stock, and the hotspot doesnt work. Any help would be appreciated.

Also ive asked this before but why is it so difficult to do to put a stock camera app on cm10? or any other rom?

I am using it and it is the same rom but for stock BL. Also not all of its features work correctly.
If you are going to use this let me know so i will upload a working build.prop because the stock one has some problems and play store isn't working. Also it has a stupid bug with calling sound. It just shutters? i don't know how to exactly express my experience anyway i think i fixed it by changing the calling sound.
Screen orientation is mirrored you will have to fix this by hand too that way

yes I have tried this rom, i was waiting for there to be an official fix, i had seen the comments that some people had on the thread. So no other roms out there that work? with stock cam and aosp calling? that one you mentioned is too buggy for me...Maybe we can ask the developer nicely to solve them? lol

my question is a lil far fetched,but may shine light if help is shown
IF on ace's miui the cm7 camera works with recording,and this has the ics framework..
IS it possible for it to record on cm9,considering its the ics framework and is full aosp?

Hello Good People,
Can someone please help with this odd issue. When opening the Sony Camera.app it displays a small view finder instead of full screen. I have tried clearing cache and fixing permission but no success so far.
Interestingly if I access the camera from the lock screen it appears in full screen.
Other third party camera apps work correctly too.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

mmmm it brings back a slight memory that this is why I abandoned sony based roms because there was so many bugs especially this one.
And that I hated the sony ui. Now I miss the old sony ui. The silly piano lock screen..
Back then I flashed slimrom kitkat because this was the only aosp or cm based rom that didn't drain the battery when the screen was off.

I tried most of the camera apps out there a month ago..most of them are filled with crap features, ads, a splash screen or welcome screen on start..why would I want that and other things that doesn't belong in the app.
Its a camera app not facebook or whatever random features included in it.
The few I found to be somewhat worth keeping are:
Camera FV-5 Good app. You can crash the app if you're doing heavy work or fast pressing or swiping in menus. But its not filled with any crap or unnecessary features that no one asked for unrelated to the app being a camera.
CameraMX <-- this one has a welcome screen...and other crap included so you dont get right in to the camera on launch. To get to the camera on launch: Press menu and tick "Open camera on start".
But the app has a Time lapse video mode so its why I kept it for when I might use this feature.
OpenCamera is my classic go to. Its a straight forward camera app with no crap or ads.
You might have heard of Manual Camera app but its far from every device that works with the app. And it has many bugs.
There are some other simple apps that has no wow factor like Moto Camera or Google Camera that works fine too I used the Google camera in the past because it does exactly what it suppose to. Take a picture.

Would anyone advise? Girlfriend has Doogee y9 plus, no notification LED and I didn't find ambient display in menu. Is there any way to activate or install? The phone has a rom pie. That's why I'm surprised there's nothing like that

I rarely reply to these type of posts but, here it goes...I guess
-The LED light it's a psychical component added to the device. Not sure how this could get "added" to the phone, if it did not come with one already . I found the scpecs on this website and could not find any comments regarding having LED notification light https://www.doogee.cc/detail/y-series_y9plus/159
-Regarding the ambient display. Doing a quick search I found this link: https://www.techbone.net/android/9/user-manual/ambient-display

Okay. That I will not add the LEDs of course I know ? unfortunately, if the notification comes and you do not hear him, so he knows nothing. Ambient display in the settings I find using search, but there is only a line "when to wake up" and below it nothing. Is it possible that a factory reset would help? Wrong load of rom on first run? I thought ambient display was a standard feature

Hi, will somehow allow camera2 api? Camera probe shows "full". I found instructions on how to do root and eventually upload the original rom for doogee n20, it should be the same phones. I would like to solve the quality of photos because I think he should take better pictures. I think the phone focuses too long and in worse light when it focuses, so it can not stay focused until the subject is to take pictures ..

Thanks for your attention. I just received mine this week (actually Doogee N20, but they are the same). It`s a good budget model, but i still didn`t had luck finding a good guide for rooting it.

the cameras are actually bad and not all of them suupport google camera 2 api fully
the top or 3rd camera is the actual 16mb camera i think and the 3rd camera controls picture and videio focus

ambient lighting is there but its called "adaptive brightness" in settings but as for led there is no support unless you install app "on screen led light " works exactly the same but probably eat battery like geyser
to ensure it works always, till 0 %battery :
disable battery optimisation for it
and enable to run in dura speed (in settings)
