It's been 5 days since I bought my EVO 3d and now the metal bezel has started to show up around the edges.....the paint is just scrapping off......any of experienced this...this soon??...(I handled the phone really well...never dropped or bumped it.....no cases used...also I know there are a couple of threads already addressing the issue but I wanted to know does this happen in a span of 5 days??)

Mine is showing no wear and I havent used a case at all.
Are you, by chance, made of sandpaper?

Had it for three weeks, no wear, no tear and no case either.
Unless you're, like the poster above me wrote: Made of sandpaper, you should try and take it back for a refund. Something is seriously wrong, if the paint is peeling off so fast!

Same exact phone except carrier, evo has more RAM and 3d...those are pretty much the differences which narrows it down to 3d

You have the option to use 3D if you so feel like it, otherwise, 2D @ 5mp is not much of a step down than 2D @8mp, it's worth it.
And more memory, like iitreatedii mentioned.
Plus 3D pron....hahaha, wow!

not to mention Sprint is a far better carrier for overall coverage...I'm sure there's some areas T-Mo has better coverage than Sprint, but when you look at the big picture (and if you travel at all) you'll want to go Sprint
Both good phones. I went for the 3D cause Sprint is cheaper for me and I wanted a faster phone. Played with the Sensation at the T-mobile stores. It's nice too. I love the form factor and build quality of that phone. I had Tmobile for 8 years before getting my Evo 4G. I traveled a lot and coverage wasn't an issue.
Have you guys seen the sensation in person? I really wish the EVO3d looked just like that. It is very pretty and feels sturdy and most can tell that the sensation has a aluminum housing; this cannot be said about the evo even though it also housing in aluminum. Mentally most cannot get over the fact that the the evo 4g and 3d look so similar.
Felt like throwing a random new post out to say I'm very pleased and enjoying showing what I can do with this compared to everyone else's phone. I love my computer in my hand.

I love the 3D. I honestly never use the 3D function, it's more of a gimmick imo, but the phone is the best I've owned yet. And at this point, I'll never own anything but an HTC.

i love it too. a little bummed out by the hboot 1.5 crap but it's easy enough to work around. the phone screams and looks amazing. and the camera is quite nice. don't let the fact that is' 5MP fool you. still gives great shots. and the 3D is really just like a cherry on top. fun to play around with but easy to turn off.

I like my Evo 3d, but just to be completely honest, I miss my Nexus S 4G. I actually bought a ns4g yesterday from the marketplace here on xda. I also bought 2 off eBay. Not sure if I will still keep the 3d, but I will definitely be keeping one of the ns4g. 2 are broken, so they are projects.

I have to agree I like the Evo 3D , even in stock form it performs very well . HTC does make a good product (atleast my expierence with them) . Even with me moving to carriers shortly (possible new job will relocate me to a Verizon area , no sprint service) I will probably go with the HTC Rezound . Motorola just isnt doing it for me from what I see and the Droid Prime , well it has ICS but eh . New carrier but sticking with HTC .

I really like my E3D. I have been eyeing the Galaxy Nexus, but to be honest I am enjoying my E3D so much and have grown to REALLY like Sense.

The NS4G is a very nice phone, my brother-in-law is using mine until the Galaxy Nexus comes out. One thing I don't miss about that phone is the horrible WiFi and Data reception.
Called sprint today cuz my girlfriend lost her phone. So of course we have insurance. They connected me to insurion and they were out of the of HTC evo so they said cuz the evo 3d is a similar device she could that one instead. So .ow we both have the evo 3d!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, this happens all the time not just in the cell phone world....
I've seen it done with electronics, shoes, tools, etc etc
Easier to solve the problem now than to prolong the situation...

funny, i didn't ask you what it sounded like. Let me know what I said in my post that hinted I was going to deliberately break my phone.
I don't think it's fraud if he really breaks his phone. He's still going to have to return it to sprint.
I did that with an old treo phone I had before when I knew sprint was out of them and were replacing it with a newer phone.
Just did the same, kinda freaked out as I really like the 3d But they say they're out of that atm too, but it'll be a max 1-3 days before sent out.. I really need my phone before thursday night, so hopefully it'll be here then!

I'm in Austin, and I am SERIOUSLY considering getting rid of my Evo 3D as is thanks to the Carrier IQ scandal.
I've got it S-OFF'd and a clean ESN, and I still have the box and all accessories that came with it. The only things wrong with it are a slight scratch on the paint at the right edge of the glass - the glass is fine, but the metal on the case shows (not even a centimeter long and only on the edge of the paint).
If you'd be interested, I'd meet you at a Sprint store and swap the bugger over - I'd even unroot/S-ON it first too if you liked (HBOOT 1.4)
OT - you worked at BBY? I'm Double Agent 3812, from precincts 216 and 291, then 204 in Austin. Even through I'm Disavowed, good to see another Agent out here.

Its on almost all of sprints phones including sgs2.... only phones that don't have it are iPhones and a few Flip phones .... carrier IQ is no reason to switch. To a phone that has the same thing on it....
Btw the epic touch sucks.... I would never go back to the always hardware borked Samsung devices

Any one else exchanged there's? Everyone says the build quality is good but I question that. All problems are internal never physical outside issues. Always, "never seen that before" worker at corporate store finally, after threatening to buy out of contract, she allowed me to switch phones instead of another HTC evo I'm going to the galaxy 3. See if I have better luck....

I know, but with the 4g issues on the EVO I thought it was best to switch. Don't know when or if HTC will fix the issue. Why get another refurbished phone. At least ill get steady 4g. Owned every EVO that's been out. Plus more development on gs3. Please don't hate me just tired of problems. Loved the phone but.......problems problems problems. Starting to remind me of my pre. Went thru 6 of those suckers.

I'm on my third, myself. First one had a light bleed issue. Second one I busted the screen, got an exchange through Assurion. And I've had no problems in the last 2 or 3 months with my third one.
