Hello Guys
when i was surfing on Ebay i came to know that a polymer battery for our Evo 3D, as in the link below
http://orders.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ImportHubViewItem&itemid=270829458051
so guys is this worth for money and will give a better performance than a standard Li-ion battery?
please Advise me
Thanks in Advance
Currently I am using a 2000mAh Li-ion brought from Ebay, fits without extented back door(installed today on my EVO 3D)
I will update its performance soon
below i have attached the images of that 2000mAh battery(Li-ion)
cost: $25 includes shipping
That is a Seidio battery. The pT brand you see on the packaging is what all the items that they make for Best Buy is branded. There is absolutely no difference in the cases/batteries that say Seidio or pT. I'm not positive, but i think that battery is cheaper from either Best Buy or Seidio. I believe that's how much their 4000mah battery is, or close to it. You can check either websites and find the price though. Personally I'd rather buy from Best But instead of eBay. 30 day, no questions asked, return policy. You're not gonna get that with eBay, and even if you do it won't be as easy as Best Buy would be.... just my thoughts...

Oh, didn't see the pics of the other batteries earlier. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that Galilio battery is more like a 1200-1400mah battery. I have 4 in my desk at home, 2 have never been used. The best batteries that fit under the stock door are Anker and Chichitec. Both are rated at 1900mah and definitely outlast the stock battery. They are identical in performance and are shipped from California. I have the Anker brand myself. You can get 2 batteries and an external charger for under $30 shipped from eBay. If searching for Anker, search "Sensation Anker battery". Sensation and Evo 3D use the same battery, not sure why Anker doesn't outset them for the 3D also. If you look there are a few threads on these batteries with nothing but good reviews and everyone says they outlast stock. Good luck, and sorry about your Galilio purchase, but there aren't bad to put back for emergency situations

There is no difference in performance between Lithium Ion and Lithium Polymer. The advantages of Li-ion polymer over the lithium-ion design include potentially lower cost of manufacture, adaptability to a wide variety of packaging shapes, reliability, and ruggedness. They can also be dangerous. When punctured, Li-Po batteries react quickly by smoking and causing large fires.

Lol, they are fine for back ups, would rather trash a crappy battery than my charger cable, fits in the pocket better too
But for how cheap they are they are worth it, I got 3 galilio batteries as pictured above for 14.99 free shipping...
Even at a total of 2600-2800mah total that should outlast the stock battery np, I bought them knowing what they were with no issue, cheap batteries for a cheap price, but they work

Very true! Like I said, my Galilio batteries stay in my desk at home most of the time. Although, I do use them for emergency situations. Today is a perfect example. I left home in Georgia, Friday evening, to come down to Jacksonville Florida for the Bulldogs vs Gators game. Left my hotel early this morning to tailgate before the game and just got back to the hotel a few minutes ago. I was using my phone very very heavily for photos, videos, internet, games, calls, texts, basically everything. I carried my Galilio batteries in my pocket today just in case I used up my Anker batteries and stock HTC battery. I didn't have to use them, but it was nice to be able to do what ever I wanted with my phone today with out having to worry about conserving battery life. The Galilio batteries definitely served their purpose today!!!!

went to the real mugen power website, checked on the extended battery, it is out of stock, you can order but wont receive until november
ordered my seidio extended battery for the photon 4g it will arrive tomorrow. there are a few counterfeit mugen websites on the web so be careful, mugen power batteries are quite good.
as for cheapo chinese batteries you get what you pay for, many chinese batteries are labeled with exaggerated claims as to their mah rating, several of these batteries have been found to be no larger than the standard ones containing weights to make them feel authentic, never trust chinese knockoff batteries, some will also damage your device and some have been known to catch fire, saving a few bucks on a cheap chinese battery that saves you a few bucks today and ends up costing you your device.......suddenly not soo cheap anymore you know the old saying....you get what you pay for
When I first saw this post, I was all over it until I saw the extended door. I do not want any battery (or accessory for that matter) that adds size or weight to the device. With that said, for my and other members knowledge, will it fit in car dock?

As I said the REAL mugen power does not currently have the battery in stock nor have they ever, there are however phony websites claiming to have an extended battery for the photon, these are counterfeit products and not genuine mugen power batteries, there was soo much confusion and soo many soo called mugen websites that I spoke directly with the company.
They are awaiting shipping of the batteries so anyone who orders them from the genuine mugenpower site will not see their product shipped until some time in november.
Most ebay batteries are fakes, mugenpower does not sell batteries on ebay, chinese scammers sell knockoffs on ebay for cheap, they ruin your phone and catch fire, thanks but not thanks, you get what you pay for.

I find extended batteries dont add that much bulk and actually make the evo and now my photon easier to handle, most people who try an extended battery for a week tend to keep them and love them, you'll just have to find a diffferent case to carry your phone in, easily solved at best buy or other stores that sell generic cell phone cases for phones with larger screens. As noted before, this battery is extremely light compared to the evo's extended battery, I was surprised really. As for a car dock? not sure if the extended would work or not, but you could always use the regular battery for that purpose and swap out the extended when not using in the car dock. These batteries WILL get you through a day, people tend to complain about the bulk havent tried one and lets face it, your carrying extra **** now ..........another standard battery or a charger and charging it up throughout the day or in the car, extended batteries free you from that burden. if you dont like it you have 30 days to return it if you buy it from seidio, best buy also sells seidio products so the battery may show up their, the retail packaging at best buy does not bear the seidio name but they carry the seidio extended battery and several of their cases, very fancy packaging, certainly not rocketfish lol.
Hi, I saw this in eBay , will it be of any serious issue if I use this battery with my photon , I just ordered for one , thought it was a good deal coz my battery hardly lasts for 5 hours , thats it. I'm an entrepreneur and I need to make lots of calls and emails . Like 7 hours a day I need to divert my photon's number to my BB coz the fone lasts literally 5 hours . Any suggestions .,

that battery on ebay is a chinese knockoff, I wouldnt trust it, also look at the back cover, the speaker grill looks like it will obscure sound, I highly recommend the seidio extended battery for the business man who needs extra power, ebay batteries seldom live up to their claims, I have taken some apart to find that they have no more cells or fewer cells and power than a standard battery, some of these can also damage your phone, seidios battery is only 69 dollars, thats twenty bucks more than a genuine standard motorola battery and you get 3500 mah instead of 1600. when it comes to after market batteries I only trust mugen power and seidio ( beware of counterfeit sites imitating mugenpower) the seidio extended fits the phone perfectly, much better speaker grill, had to turn my volume down, mugeenpower batteries are generally good with fit and finish as well. at the official mugen power batteries site you will find that these batteries are currently not in stock, only the counterfeit sites have them "in stock" so heads up if you go with mugen, the official site says you can order but will not be shipped intil november 4th.
The Battery is on its way , I'll buy a mugen itself as u have suggested, I wont use this ebay battery then .,
i bet ur phone case wont fit with that

This is totally legit - there are many mugen fakes out there. I'm posting a lot of news about mugen cuz I'm in touch with their representative. They are quite open for communication so if you have questions, just shoot them a message or add them on Facebook.
mugen claims
According to this web site mugen falls short of it's claims often enough.

Just ordered a 3600mah from MUGENBATTERY.com. Hope that is the legit site. Price was $88.00. Anyone know of an app that will let me know how much juice is left in the extended battey? I'm running CM9 Alpha...
Battery circle might help. I've heard problems with the photon not reading battery percentage correctly. That was on the seidio battery tho. It would stay at 1% for like 5hrs. Any issues with the mugen one?

Just got my 3600 Mugen Power extended battery last night. Came 100% charged out of the box. I love this thing and can tell it is quality built. Phone actually feels better in the hand with it as opposed to with stock battery & cover. I'm running CM9 Alpha ICS (not so great with battery consumption) but my phone lasted 12 hours with heavy use. Still need to break it in too (instructions said 4 to 5 100% to 0% runs)!
Also got my battery indicator to calibrate with it as well...
Here is the trick: You must charge the extended battery to 100%, power off device, boot into recovery and then wipe battery stats and reboot phone. Leave the phone on until the battery drains totally dead and the phone shuts off automatically because of it. After this charge the phone back to 100% without removing it from the charger (took 4 hours for me) and enjoy, you're now calibrated to the extended battery.
Nice I just got the trexcell one off Amazon. Reviews were good. If it is crap then at least it was cheap lol. I over night it. Should be here tomorrow
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
You said it actually feels better in hand, I'm sure the added weight has to do with that. What about pocket size though? Is it a pain to get in and out of a pair of jeans? Just flashed CM 7.2 and I'm doing the whole calibrate thing. I hope what you detailed works, good thing I've got all day to play with it and run it down from 100% to 0 before I have to go out with it tomorrow.
So I've been seeing mixed reviews on the aftermarket/3rd party batteries. I've seen that some people have good luck with the mugen 1900 and some with good luck with the 1980.
For those of you that have any of the 3rd party batteries, and had good luck, can you give me a better idea of how much better the aftermarket batteries are? Are you using 100% stock OS?
I really need a new battery, but am not sure if I should go with OEM or 3rd party. It seems that there is no real clarity if the 3rd party batteries last any longer or not. They certainly can be cheaper......
Try one of each... never hurts to have spare batteries. For me, I can not really tell the diff. I have both in extended and both work just as well as the other.
I didn't have good luck with either 3rd party slim battery. I ended up snagging the OEM extended from Verizon when they had them on sale for $29.99. I'm not in love with the bigger size in my pocket but find it fits my hand better when actually using it. The life I'm getting out of it is well worth it.

I have two OEM batteries an one acesoft 1980 and the OEM extended. The acesoft is mediocre at best. The OEM extended barely makes it through a day. I am on it a lot though.

I've been looking for a slim battery that holds more than the OEM as well. I got the Extended OEM from VZW for $25 when I bought the phone. It gets me through a day (I'm on it a lot AND my reception sucks for data at work) but I'm getting tired of the extra bulk. I'm thinking of going back to the days of carrying an extra slim in my pocket. That's what I used to do with my Dinc, but with the Rez w/ extended, you have to changes the back and case with the extended......and that is just getting old. I prefer to keep it in my Otterbox.
I picked up acesoft battery 1980mah seems to perform well. I also picked up OEM extended from Verizon was only 29 but I preffer 1980mah. I wanted to use case I can easily get through the day on 1980mah other battery makes it to bulky and heavier.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
Best "standard" battery deal I have seen for the Rez is on Amazon, Laza Zcell 1750mah HTC Rezound 2x Battery + Charger + Travel Case Combo, you get 2 batteries, a stand-alone charger, and carrying case for $22.99
I have tried a couple of the slim "extended" batteries that are like 19xx mAh, and never really saw any increase in run-time or capacity over stock, in fact I would be tempted to say they were worse than the stock batteries... the Laza ones above are comparable to the stock ones though.
I have the mugen 1900. I've had it since may and its crapped out on me now. It won't charge to 100% now and it discharges way quicker than it used to..not happy after paying 40 dollars for it.

We had a guy at work that bought one of these Mugen 1900 batteries too, same thing, worked good for like 5 or 6 months then just kinda crapped out, won't charge all the way, can't make it through a normal days use anymore, etc. He popped the stock battery back in that had been sitting for the last 6 months, charged and he thinks it works better than when the Mugen was new. (Might be the placebo affect though)
I did not have good results from the Mugen Power 1900 mAh slim battery. Could never get it to work properly. The phone would shut down when power got to 15%. However, I Mugen Power 4000 mAh battery worked great for me, albeit it is bulky. Since I no longer own the Rezound, I am now selling that and some other Rezound accessories on ebay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-4200mAh-...for-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-3-N9000-/201066103414
I'm not sure how many mah is in the stock battery but 4200mah sounds a like a lot! And it's standard size, not fat.
My phone lasts all day without problems but I want to buy a spare one for traveling, so I don't have to be one of those iphone people at the airport hogging all of the outlets! hahaha
The standard Note 3 battery is rated at 3200mAh so 4200mAh is an extra 1000mAh (+31%) rather a lot to claim for the same dimensions.
I would be very doubtful about any battery the same size that claimed more than +5% to +%10

Looks like the listing is gone, but i got the anker set from amazon and it works great, it's at 3200mah like the stock battery and it last me as long as the stock one and feels about the same quality, it's 29.99 so 10 bucks more but i've always been satisfied with anker products, here is the link anker batteries and amazon will let you return it, good luck
Think these TQTHL A+ brand:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-3900mAh...Galaxy-Note-3-N9000-N9002-Phone-/321424073342
Are any good?
I purchased these batteries (the gold ones) back when I had a GS2. They, like these quoted about 30% higher mAh rating than the OEM batteries. My experience was they lasted about the same as the OEM. I think they just fudge the numbers for marketing purposes. The batteries are certainly cheaply made, I had the top terminal plates come loose on two of the ones I owned. When I bought them they did not have NFC support like the OEM battery, but they made no claim for it either. I used them for about 2 or three years with no real issues other than the terminal plates which was fixed with a bit of tape.
If you need a cheap battery to back up your existing batteries I would say they do the job. If you are looking for a higher capacity battery look elsewhere.
I would only trust stock samsung made batteries and anker 3200mah for slimness, too many fakes and fire hazards with those other posers claiming to be more. ZeroLemon and Mugen are the go to companies for extreme battery life tho they do add extra bulk to the phone, i myself prefer the added weight it gives the note 3 as well as the protection and extended battery life it provides.
Theres also those rechargable battery packs that go for around $25-40

Just thought I'd let people in europe know that you can order anker 3000Mah batteries from ebay directly from anker.
I'm in UK and they work out at about 8 for battery and another 4 for delivery.
I've used anker batteries for years with my htc sensation and was always impressed. It's a shame they aren't larger capacity than stock ones but I think there just isn't room to up capacity with current technology (at least at reasonable price).
Delivery looks like weeks rather than days (2-3) but I can cope with that. I asked anker if they planned to stock in the uk and they gave a very non committal answer so I decided not to wait.
Loved the anker on my old htc sensation if a bigger capacity battery made by anker shows up for the g3 i would definitely be interested in one
