[Q] Android phone with 3G Native Video Call - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Is there any Android phone out there excluding Samsung Galaxy S/SII/Tab which can make 3G Native Video Call?
Please take note that this not the same as Google Talk/Fring/Skype as they use Data/Internet to make Video Call as I quote from http://www.bsnl.co.in/faq/faqans.php?paramCategory=3G%20Video%20Calling below :-
When you and your friend both have 3G mobiles, just dial his number. The only difference is that you press the Video Call button instead of the voice call button(All 3G mobiles have a video calling button). Then hold your mobile in front of you, and watch your screen. Stepwise: a. Key in t he number of the person you wish to see and speak to b. Press video calling button to make your call c. Your video call is connceted.

Hi dear, thanks for the reply, r u using galaxy w right now, how s the performance, like galaxy sII, because I want to buy Galaxy w
Jeemanmedia...i dont own a galaxy w but I have tried it before and btw how can u compare galaxy w with galaxy s2?
But for me, u can compare galaxy w with galaxy s. From what I can say,
+ve
-Cpu is 1.4ghz vs 1ghz galaxy s
-Camera is 5mpx with LED flasg vs 5mpx no flash galaxy s
-ve
-screen is smaller than galaxy s(3.7" vs 4.0")
-internal is 2gb only vs 8/16gb galaxy s
-screen is TFT LCD vs super amoled
Same
-512mb of RAM just like galaxy s which means no ICS update
-1500mAh of battery
-support native 3G video call

LOL 5 months old thread.
Not all phone with secondary camera can do native video call. I used to love HTC (xda era) and now they sux. Bought HTC Chacha thinking can do video call. Find out only via WIFI similar to Iphone 4s (also sux) - come on, expensive Apple phone no FM Radio?
After do some research I found out that most Korean phone like Samsung and LG can do native 3g call provided it is equipped with secondary camera. Reason being Korean loved to do video call rather than voice call. Consider mandatory for the manufacturer to make one.
I'm using LG Optimus 2X by the way.

Android Phones
Samsung = Some have 3G native video call (eg. all international Galaxy S series, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy R etc)
HTC = none
LG = none
Others = none
Other Phones
Nokia = Yes
Apple = none
correct me if im wrong. But i think , the world is moving to 4G/LTE now. So, wait and see.

Correction, LG is a Korean phone, therefore it can do native 3G video call. Told you I'm using LG Optimus 2X and it can do video call.
By the way, Malaysia has a long way to go. Their so called 4G is on Wimax and left with single player out of many that have failed. No LTE at the moment. Said to be in 2012 but unlikely to succeed. Singapore already got provider for LTE.

Thanks ameyhazuan for pointing that. Never realize LG also have. Just saw the dialler in youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP3LOXi_jpM
So, the LG Optimus 2x dialler has 3 button at the bottom. One for message, one for voice call, and one for video call right?
Thanks

Click to collapse Why people keep asking these things is really something there's a thread that people even willing to pay for US galaxy tab to be able to call with that thing there's some people who prefer all in one device instead of bringing 1 tablet and 1 phone separately, especially with bluetooth device so common now I'm thinking of changing my tab to flyer when i learned that flyer can make calls, but after hearing this, i'm glad i bought my tab much earlier ^^
i have my galaxy tab, and as long as HTC wont make calls am sticking to my galaxy tab, i don't know if HTC think they can go head to head with ipad and think they will have the upper hand, am HTC loyal but of course if ipad and flyer are booth useless "feature wise" then i will go to ipad
I found this thread to be very amusing. The Flyer is a Tablet, if you want to make calles then use your phone. To my knowledge none of the tablets that are even equipped with cellular data make phone calls. Not even the ipad makes phone calls. The old HTC Advantage which is more a netbook did make phone calls. However you had to use a headset

I don't need my tablet to be a phone. In a pinch, I can make a call via Skype. A tablet will never make me shed the convenience of a smartphone.
[Q] Multisim service problem
Hi, I got my samsung galaxy tab 10.1 10 days ago. Also I am using multisim service in Croatia (I have 3 sim cards with one number, so I don't have to change my sim when I want to use another mobile device). I someone is calling me all the devices are ringing. So I put one of my simcards in the galaxy tab but I have a problem. Since the galaxy has no voice possibility, when someone is calling me, the tab rejects the call but it also rejects the calls on all other devices. I called my service provider, but they cannot do anything. Has someone an idea how to solve this?? It would be great if mobile data,sms and mms are getting to the tab but not calls so galaxy tab wouldn't reject them. Thanks,bye

Click to collapse dear sir, first of all thanks for your kind reply. i posted one question in down mentioned link for dual active in samsung galaxy y (s6102) and i found some usefull thing there, actualy my brother used samsung galaxy Y in past and now using samsung galaxy pocket duos and these all devices never missed a call and dual active every time,and samsung company said that it is revolutionary service.so i thought that both devices have single radio (not sure) but with a best software of call forwarding when a line go to switch off due to busy on other line. and i have checked it on both devices that when we busy on one line and some one call on other then phone display a writing of call fowarding ,so a caller never receive a answar of power off. i think if it is a software issue then any developer can make it for our desire v also. thanks. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2063534&page=110

Any viable suggestion Wil do. I want it to work perfectly in India. I am in love with this phone
I spoke to a smartphone repairer who has great experience about what I am facing about signal strength. I clearly told him that the best networks are not able to hold the strength and signal strength falling from - 89 dbm from 0 dbm at once and gaining again. He said this is a problem with sm 900p sprint lte model and it's a bad choice on my part. That I made a mistake by buying it. I asked is there any way I can get it repaired and he said it's not a problem in hardware or software but compatibility in India. Should I just take his word as final or should try better sources?
