[Q] Re-install Windows Media? - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

Hi,
I accidentally deleted the Media Player in my Touch Pro 2, which runs on WM 6.5.
I would like to know if there is a way that I can reinstall that windows media player?
My ringtones are gone now, and I can't play any mp3 files, nor use the mp3 as my ringtone.
Any helps will be much appreciated.

Hardreset maybe? Backup and make it.

mp3 problem...

Hi folks,
My Hero runs on 2.1.
I've recently moved some music onto my phone but no matter what I do, the mp3s are not detected by either the stock mp3 player or MixZing player. When I access the actual mp3 files through Linda file manager and open them using MixZing, they play, but I get an error about tags missing.
After seeing this error, I've downloaded a couple of different tag editors and made sure every single field (i.e. genre, artist, etc.) was filled out properly. Still, the problem remains: no mp3 player on the Hero detects these mp3 files.
Anyone run into this problem before and know the fix?
Thanks!
Problem solved. The way windows media player synced the files was not good. I replaced them manually in a different folder and, presto.
Mods, you can close or delete this.

Music and playlists

Hello I have a HD2 Leo, im trying to work out how I can create a playlist on the computer and then put it onto my hd2.
So I create a playlist in windows media player on the computer and save it in the .asx format (to my knowledge this is the format it must be in for the hd2) I then put that playlist file on my HD2, when I open the playlist with a text editor, the file locations are pointing to the music on my computer as opposed to on my phone, even if I change the location to point to my phone I still cannot get these to work.
The music app on the HD2 isnt very good which is why I want to use the computer to create my playlists, can anyone help?
Thanks Alot
Ant
I know this is an old post but I have the same frustrations about where and how (no)sense keeps its playlists. Has there been any new ideas on it?

[Q] Windows Media Player wont update

Hello Everyone
I have been having this problem for some time and T-Mobile can't assist me so i decided to come here for a try.
I have about 2000 songs on my 16gig card most are of mp3 format. Well i have noticed that when i update the library it doesn't full do so. It goes through and finds the files and then is goes to add the files and then after adding some the player just closes. And when i open it back up i notice that there are A LOT of files that were not added to the player but can easily be played when accessed them via File Explorer.
*I also tried updating the library about 4x to see if the added files were missed some how with no luck.
Its frustrating b/c i prefer to use WMP over the HTC player.
Does anyone have a clue why this happens?
anyone...?
how did you transfer the files to your card?
ive read that syncing through media player on your pc can cause problems and that its better to just drag n drop the media to your sd card...
i did indeed sync through wmp so i could easily get the artist>album>layout. so would it help if i copied the folders back to my pc and then dragged them back to the memory card?
I can't guarantee that it will solve your problem but it might be worth a try....
just out of interest, does the htc sense player find all the files ok?
i just checked and nope that player .seems to be missing more songs than wmp
hmmm typical sense I suppose.......
I would try the drag n drop or maybe even test with another player like nitrogen or something.......
after that Im out of ideas..... sorry
Drag and drop/copy and paste is you best option, delete all the music from your sd card first - it worked for my uk HD2
ok i will try now and update to let you guys know if it worked
OK so i deleted the files and reinstalloed them and unfortunately it didnt work
I even checked by using the HTC player and noticed that player misses songs also. And not all of the same songs.

[Q] i deleted my media player please help

hi
i have winmo 6.5 and deleted winmo default media player
so now when i put ring tone or tone for my alarm they dont work
and i cant switch on the media player
i am currently using nitrogen player and everything seems fine with it(so my sounds is ok)
just my ring tones are gone please help
how do you mean deleted?
windows media player is not in the program list so i assume you mean the shortcut in the program list?
if this is the case it should still be in the windows folder (in explorer) and even in that case should not affect your music.
on the other hand if you mean you deleted the files containing the ring tones you should still be able to use the HTC mp3 trimmer to make new tones from any mp3's you have.
a little more detail on the problem would help
audit
p.s. whatever the case reverting to factory settings will sort every thing out however keep in mind you WILL lose all your data so if you choose this option backup your phone.

[Q] Zune to WP8 playlists

I transferred some Zune playlists onto my Lumia920. However, I've realized that changing the playlists on zune is a pain because I would need to use multiple programs to change the music and then transfer the files (open zune and then the desktop WP8 progam). I've settled for possibly using Windows Media Player, however my long run/workout playlist is extensive. Windows media player can't read the zune playlists. Just dandy. :/ So, I was wondering if there was a quick way to convert *.zpl playlists to *.wpl? Or am I going to have to resort to re-making the playlist from scratch in windows media player and save a new one?
Also, I've noticed (or rather, am having a hard time finding it) that you can't transfer playlists using the WP8 Windows 8 app. Is it there or am I just not observant?
Last question, what do you guys mostly use to transfer files/playlists onto your phone?
Thanks in advance everyone!
Try this:
Both playlists are text files. Open one of each with Notepad, note any structural differences, format the .zpl file a la .wpl, and Save as... .wpl.
To transfer files, plug the phone into your pc. Then drag'n'drop, transfer via WMP, the desktop app, or any other media player that can see your phone.
