help!!!!!!
why i flashed but just reboot on FXP logo?
Did you flash the kernel and the rom ? The rom wil noot boot without the provided kernel in the boot.img. The provided kernel will not boot freexperia cm7.
Also don't forget to reset to defaults (clear data / clear cache / clear dalvik cache)
so..... the kernel is provider in CM7 from FXP?
The kernel I provided it build from the freexperia git. But built with other options to match the prelink map for the rom.
I provided a kernel witch is built for normal prelink map.
Standard freexperia kernel is built to use 2G prelink map.
so....there is no boot.img in this miui, and is the kernel you said is the same kernel in package of FXP041 CM7(with gapps)? or the boot.img in FXP CM7 ROm? or the boot.img from CM7 in CM website.....
maybe you can just put the kernel on, and the clear instructor
thanks
My mistake, I uploaded the wrong zip file.
Uploaded new zipfile with boot.img and rom. If you already have flashed the previous zip file with cmrecovery, then you just have to flash the boot.img with fastboot now.
thank you!
i will flash the whole thing again, to have the best state!
Hi,
The zip has been deleted from hotfile?

Would this work on the Xperia Arc? because of of the different screen size ?
Also great progress on this, i do like Miui so im happy to see someone with the know how getting this off the ground.
Punk, it wouldn't work on the Xperia Arc unless someone ported it like I am doing for the Xperia Play. You have to recompile the Cyanogen Mod kernel with some specific config changes, then combine that with the MIUI.US version for the Desire S and then copy over some files.etc to get a UPDATE.zip. You then flash the kernel and that and hope for the best. If I can get it to work on the Xperia Play, bheremans can get it work on the Xperia Neo, then it is only a matter of time before someone will port it to the Arc.
Note that camera, data.etc probably wont work yet unless we get some proper developers in here .

hi i think i know how to resolve the FlashLight issue refer to this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18247100#post18247100
u will basically need to change ramdisk to give correct permissions to flashlight sysfs interface
also u might want to contact luke1215 as he is currently making MiUI for X10

I know i was not very optimistic about it running on the Arc due to the facts you stated above, but in general the whole new Xperia line is heading in the right direction, which is good.
Im only know just starting to get my head around .xml files, id love to be able to test and build stuff, but i dont think i have the knowledge at the moment to contribute to anything useful.
Time to do some research i guess lol.
At last i flashed it!!!!!!!
quite nice, i can use the theme from miui.
i post a thread to miui in China, so maybe we can get the real miui in few months
Hi bro,
You have done a great job to Xperia family.I have working on it for few days porting miui to Xperia arc but I have no idea about the kernel.Since the fxp's cm kernel is not suitble to miui so can you tell me how to tweak the kernel.
I have linux environment and I have got the source code from cm.Just tell me how to tweak the kernel and I will be appreciate.
Thx
Best regards
Jason.
P.S You mean tweak this option

from kernel/arch/arm/configs/xxx_defconfig

Can you tell me some detils about your change to the fxp's kernel?
I don't know how to change the prelink map from 2G/2G to 3G/1G
Thx again!

Hi Doomlord,
I know pretty good where the problem with the data and camera is.
kernel and rom libs are compiled with normal prelink map.
But some libs are precompiled and are linked with 2G prelinkmap.
For example is I use the commando isPrelinked (in cm tools), you will see :
libmmgsdilib.so: not prelinked
libmmipl.so: not prelinked
libmmjpeg.so: not prelinked
libmm-omxcore.so: 0xa4000000
libm.so: 0xafb00000
libm.so is prelinked at : 0xafb00000
but the preopritary files you have to use for example
libril.so: 0x6e600000
prelink-linux-arm-2G.map
prelink-linux-arm.map
MIUI libs : normal prelink map
proprietary libs : 2G prelink map
Mixem them causes preblems the system expexts libril.so at 0xAE600000
Same problem for camera libs
We can't compile MIUI from source and we can't compile some SE libs from source (for now)
but if we could free up the 0x6E600000 and shift things like in the commit you pointed out in the xperia play topic things could work out maybe.
Although I thought I had data runing on standard cm7 rom compiled with normal prelink map. So maybe I forgot to replcace some files in MIUI rom and we can get data working without kernel changes..
I am a java developper and system admin so I can read code and change some stuff and compile, but I am certainly no kernel developper :-(
Just posting all this stuff so others can understand the problems and maybe help

Xperia Arc / ray / Neo all pretty much the same, the have same cpy, gpu, resolution, ...
http://www.xperiablog.net/comparison/
the all use the same kernel source as far I know, maybe some small config options in fxp_xxxxx_debconfig. I should be able to compile a kernel and rom pretty easy. Maybe I will try to do it later today.

Follow my guide how to use custom kernel HERE
This guide (A-Z) for most custom roms for x10 out there how to use custom kernel.
-Just skip to step 10 if you already have the Custom Rom flashed.
++REMINDER++ please don't install custom kernel provided by the ROMs modders just yet, or you will end up stuck at Bootloops.
Thanks to J, Z, Goroh, DL, AZ, AD, WB, AJ and all of you!!
1 - Flash your X10 with fresh SE Firmwares using Flashtool, Reboot, wait until you got stable signal. Turn on USB debugging.
2 - Root your phone using Flashtool, Install Busybox included in Flashtool.
3 - Reboot you phone. Now go to your phone screen, search for Busybox icon. open Busybox, press install.
4 - Download xRecovery 0.3, place it in your SD card.
5 - Open your file manager and search for xRecovery that you just downloaded. Install xRecovery
6 - Download your Preferred Baseband (i'm using .54 in this Guide)
7 - Flash your new Baseband using FlashTool. Reboot, wait until you got stable signal
8 - Download your Preferred custom Rom (Achotjan_2.2.3_v06 & Wolftweak ROM V008.1) this guide should work for all custom roms. Place it in your SD card.
9 - Reboot, now go to your xRecovery. Flash the new custom rom.
10 - Download Goroh custom Kernel 360 & DoomLord custom Kernel v02 boot.img & wifi module (X-Series for me)
11 - Reboot, go to your xRecovery and flash Goroh custom Kernel 360 FIRST!. Reboot, wait until you got stable signal
12 - Install setCPU, open. Set your setCPU Max: 1113600 Min: 128000 (Higher might get WLOD)
13 - Reboot, open your xRecovery again and flash the latest kernel from DoomLord v02 X-series boot.img & wifi module
14 - Reboot, enjoy the latest custom kernel!
15 - You know what, Your just F****D SE in the AZZ... xD
S-series - Stock like - will be using stock SE kernel voltages, so should work on most devices w/o issues
X-series - eXtreme - will be undervolted, so as to give better battery life
This is what i did, and it's working Perfectly on AJ & WB Rom

Achotjan is there any chance of a flashable zip to get just the gingerbread features to AOSP 2.2.1 beta 4?
I don't care too much for Cyanogen 6 so ideally I would like to use the features on beta 4
I know there in sources but I think this is a good idea

Tip: You can find the Reloaded setting in your app drawer, not in the settings menu!
.70 baseband works fine too.
Besides the creators of this ROM, I would like to thank jjdoctor for his great guide on porting ROMs between Xperia 2011 HDPI devices.
Also I would like to encourage anyone to try the same, it's very easy and satisfying work.

Downloading.... Will review
Possible that sirkay's FXP kernel will work with this?
By theming the AOSP messaging app to match ICS, you really patched that missing UI look .. nice nice.. !!

I only ported this, remember, just moving some files in 7zip, please thank the creator!
I will test sirkays kernel too, can you report back too?
Using sirkays kernel I litterally got a tsunami of force closes. Not recommended
I changed the download link to 0.1.21 release, same place in the first post.
If the flash is always on in camera, please reflash with the new zip, no wipe needed, but if you encounter problems, just wipe to be sure.

flashing over 64 baseband to see if it works.. else will goto 70
Edit: Taking quiet a while in first boot.. preparing for the boost..
.64 is actually recommended, but I'm using .70 and it works fine.
Very good very stable..
liked the blue messaging app, blue smileys.. status bar goes with the cosmic wallpaper..
lags once a while, but that's ok.. needs time to settle down I guess
Sound/Speaker quality seemed a little low.
Notification LED works..
Nice volume bar too added to status bar..
Edit: Works with .64 baseband
Cool ROM!
Thanks
Too bad it's a ROM and not a CM9 add-on.. Looks great tho! If I ever get bored of CM9 I might give it a try!
Thanks for your time!

Camerea Patch for Neo V
It would be really helpful for Neo V users if someone could post a link to the camera patch for Neo V and if it was added to the OP.
I would like to thank the developer for all the efforts he's put into this ROM. We really appreciate what you are doing for the community. Contrary to the joke named 'official ICS' from SONY, the AOSP ROMS are usable and not laggy like hell. If only Sony learned a thing or two from these lovely chaps at XDA.

All right, I will test this ROM tomorrow and if the camera patch works, then I will confirm
I have one question though, about camera flash. I am using fxp 117 right now on my Neo V and camera flash works fine. Since this ROM is based on CM9, shouldn't the flash work fine on this one too?
EDIT: I have found my answer to that. It seems flash has been functional only with the Neo V patch for a while. Good news is, Neo should get a functional flash too: Kormatoes says his latest AOKP build for Neo (to be uploaded later tonight) has working flash

Great, thanks for the tip!
There's a somewhat inconvenient workaround though. The torch ap does work, so you can turn on the torch before starting the camera app, and it won't be disabled, because the flash is not recognized by the camera (I tried other camera apps too).

Firstly, I cannot use 3G to connect the Internet
Secondly, sometimes there was a problem with applications which require root permission such as Root Uninstaller and so on... I don't know why?

Great ... You found no problem !!!! It's common... Reboot twice or thrice trying 3G on each boot .... I got it working , wipe Dalvik cache .....
About root permission - uninstall the app and reinstall , be carefully when you open first time it asks series of questions.... Accept all and at last one tick remember and accept...
If it didn't ask go to an app ltm /something with guard with certificate icon , got to application and search for your app and give all permission !!!
Or
Select trust this app just after install !!!!
Have fun!!!!

There is an issue with the multi-language you may have to edit the zip file for it to work on the ST18i
System.apk and framework files need decompiling for every new language pack
Head over to this thread where we discussed the Miui Language pack earlier this month
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1816553
(please read the whole thread before installing the language pack)
in the meantime I will have a look at the zip file and report back - only if I find anything worth noting
UPDATE: Seems the links for the Language packs on miuiandroid.com are not working
will have to wait till after 21 August - the current Miui v4 2.8.17 is Multilingual
thanks for the interest in Miui
Miui Battery and Performance
Been testing the Miui v4 for 3 weeks using sirkay's xkernel v8.1 [not 8.1a]
Most recently installed baseband .77 [thanks to sirkay]
...look at the battery results image below with just light use
With heavy use I would expect a lot more drain.
At present the is only 3-4% drain in deep sleep mode overnight 8-10 hours
Compare that to my previous ROM CM7.2 there was 1% drain per hour in deep sleep mode all the time
I was sceptical of moving forward to ICS but am glad I took the leap to Miui v4, a nice Clean ROM with no bells or whistles!

That or dan's older ics kernel (unless he deleted it then nvm). Or the current turbo kernel as this should still work on it if it's built from cm9 base.
Will this work on r800x (CDMA)?
Thanks a lot for this i'm gonna test this out tonight. so i am assuming this will need a build.prop edit and modded framework to work?

I am dwnloading now to test, of coarse it will take a while due to being a UL link. I have r800x also. It probably will to an extent. We probably won't have actual "cell-service", but wifi and apps and such should work. From what I've read thru all the posts, this is for GSM not CDMA.
UPDATE
NOPE. Won't install on r800x. Even tried the buildprop fix. No go.
Getting a hotboot past the lockscreen, and it also gets a bootloop while staying on the lockscreen, attached a logcat.
Thanks for supporting us

Ok, I finally got it to install using CriGiu's buildprop status 7 fix and LuPuS v7 kernel. BUT, have been setting on the "XPERIA" boot logo screen for about 10 mins.
UPDATE:
Switched kernel to doomkernel-ics v3, installed Rom, rebooted. Finally loaded to black screen, Then bootloop .
Rebooted to recovery, wiped cache, dalvick, fixed permissions and finally booted to lockscreen, THEN BOOTLOOP ;-( .
I also noticed a symlink error for vendor while looking in my aroma filemanager from recovery.
Getting frustrated, Lol. But not giving up yet.
Update:
Fixed the vendor symlink error.
I think there are too many apps in the system running it out of space and crashing(bootlooping) it. Will update later.
Sent from my DROIDX using xda premium
UPDATE
Well, I finally got it to stop Bootlooping. :cyclops: Yeah.
After fixing the vendor symlink error and other info above. I removed some apps from the sytem folder inside the Rom zip.
Re-zipped after editing, did the normal reset and wipes, installed my new zip and TA_DA!! Success.
Can't get wifi working, messaging, or phone dialer so far. Everything-else seems to be working.

Introduction
Okay, first I'm sorry for my bad english. And I do not take any responsibility after you flash this Developing ROM to your device.
Now, I think the Firmware is ready for development and good for dailyuse.
I'm here bring some good stuff for all of you guys
6.2.A.1.00 Firmware Ported by me, and this firmware cannot be ported without our great developer munjeni. Without him I cannot port this firmware
As We all have munjeni's permissions for his great JB ROM and his Kernel, so I take some stuff from Munjeni's JB ROM to this firmware, and use his kernel for testing I hopy you don't mind
Main Goal
My main goal is to have a fully working Unofficial 6.2.A.1.100 Firmware and keeping it's original, but not enhance it
Working
- It's Booted!
- DATA
- BT
- WIFI
- AUDIO
- VIDEO
- CAMERA
- SMS
- THEME ENGINE
- ROTATION
- NFC
- You can tell
Bugs
- ROTATION
- Small Boot animation
- Some Images are blurred, because of small size (Mdpi)
- Signatures (Like Munjeni's JB ROM)
- When Connect to PC, the image has bug (Only change framework-res.apk to fix it)
- SDCard Mount? Check the Alpha 1.01 Update Package, I replace vold.fstab from munjeni's JB ROM to this Firmware port

A: Because if you flash the zip, you'll automatically flash the kernel inside the zip
Q: How to root this firmware?
A: Only install this zip (Superuser) http://downloads.noshufou.netdna-cdn.com/superuser/Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip and you'll get root, Tested by me
Q: Is the illumination bar work?
A: No I don't really know how to fix it, but I'll try

Sorry for loong delay, I decided to stopped this development, I already build about 70% the fixes, signature bug fixed (with services.jar Super User Mod), SemcPhone image bug (Just replace the SemcPhone from JB Munjeni), but I think with my time now I cannot do much to finish the project (Just only replace services.jar and SemcPhone.apk and the bug is fixed, Very sorry about this, this is 'nearly complete' Fw, Just replace services.jar and SemcPhone and the project is complete (maybe some Xperia Go thing left on the Fw but if you take a look on system/etc/ folder you can find Xperia Go files, just replace default-capability.xml and the Fw is complete
Thanks again | Terima Kasih

Thank you very much
but I have some bugs like rotation and others
Yes without Munjeni, I cannot port this firmware because I took some files to get this firmware booted on Sola
Try with Xperia p framework.. I'm using the same on .400.. Except that it doesn't mount sdcard to pc!
What's the use of porting something with no working mount sd?

U can easily resign the rom
Ans for the small images use a image resizer tool from xda and resize to Sola resolution
I think u can safely copy sensor fikes from ics or munjeni jb to fix rotation bug
Contact soul for fixing the mounting problem
Abd replacing go image with sola

For resign, I tried and not all system apks showed on app drawer, that mean not all system apk compatible for resign
For small images, I think I'll use that
I tried copying the sensor files from munjeni JB, like etc/AT, /lib/libsensorservice, /lib/hw/ but the rotation still incorrect
For mounting problem, just replace framework-res.apk with munjeni jb, it will fix the problem

Nice to see updated jb on our forgotten solas! Floating touch or glove mode working? Can we use custom kernels developed for munjeni jb?

FAQ
Q: Why my Sola bootlooped after flash Alpha 1.01 UpdatePackage?
A: I think you should mix the zip, just open the Alpha 1.01 Update Package and copy /system folder to 6.2.A.1.100 Firmware zip, It'll replace all the contents so you only flash the 6.2.A.1.100 Firmware

Hey dude you can try these framework files in below link for your ROM. It might help. You can replace your framework res file and .jar files and set correct permissions.
