Well, hardly cheap - I didn't even know this was available yet, but I see it's on special offer in http://www.ibood.com/ie/en/ today for € 349,95
It's basically an S2 with a slightly downgraded screen, storage and camera using a Tegra 2 CPU in place of the S2's Exynos chipset.
Old news.
And what does this have to so with the GS2? Shouldnt be in this section.

This was something I came across and thought it might be of interest to others. I don't think there is a seperate "R" forum and I thought it best to put it here because of the similarity of it to the S 2 - I believe others have posted 9103-specific stuff in this forum in the past.
Apologies if this post was incorrect or irrelevant - MODS: Please delete if this is the case.
I9103 as like many other 03 series of Galaxy S or Galaxy S2
are always a downgraded version of the flagship model
usually with sLCD and other minor changes

I have the Skyrocket right now but I want to get the ATT version of the SGS2 because its the same hardware and everything has the international but just different bands, right? I don't like the skyrocket because its big and there is hardly any ROM support. I don't know if the ATT version will get CM9 PR of it even has good from support. So which is better?

And the gall to ask him to post you some threads. It's users like you who get the devs and mods all ticked off.

tsk, tsk, tsk...
will we able to port sgs 3 official rom on sgs2 !!!
Official ROM? Of course not. A modded ROM? Wait and see. Seems that much of the software changes can be ported - there are some posts about it somewhere. You can search for them.
More information, supposition, idle speculation and wild guesswork here.
Also, most features will probably use lots of battery, SGS 3 has a capacity of 2100,while SGS 2 has only 1650 mAh.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
I am actually a little surprised, that developers do not publish custom ROMs in packages. For example, Kernel+drivers in one package, Dalvik VM in another, Core services in another, Samsung apps in another, Google Apps in another, and so on, with possibility to interchangeably use these packages. For example, you could get Kernel from one, core services and applications that provide Google Stock experience in another, and so on.
AFAIK SGSIII is going to be released on dual-core processors as well, so in terms of execution power, hardware should be able to handle SGSIII applications. It all comes down to compatibility of kernel and drivers.
Edit: Please replace exclamation mark (!) on thread title to question mark [?]. Title is misleading
Well, if this do them im gonna stick with SGII wont lose much.
it would be nice !
Am I the only one who is confused on whether the OP actually is asking us whether there will be a rom or he is telling is there will be a rom? Same goes for the title.

I think he saw SGS III, realised it's only one "I" different to the phone he has, then ended up with sticky underpants at the thought of it.
I suppose along the same logic, his phone is only one "I" different to an iPhone. Eagerly awaiting his ROM ports.

i had a thrill 4G(unlocked) and now I am going to buy a galaxy s2 from ebay. So few questions for you guys
this might be crazy though but i just want your help
unlocked I777 price is lower than i9100 on ebay --why is that?
According to gsmarena i777 got a talk time of 18hrs while i9100 has about 18hrs (at&t web site also says talk time in i777 is 8hrs) Any difference in battery department ???
Thanks guys

+1 it depends on your location. Don't think a new thread should have been created for this though. You could have easily gotten your answer through a simple search

The i777 and the i9100 are mostly the same.
Differrences:
I am not certain whether there is a radio chip on the i777 but the i9100 does have radio
It is locked on to the at&t network unless you buy the unlocked one
And specially in Sri Lanka the phone would be more exclusive because many owners have the i9100...
The i777 has the NFC chip built in to the battery and the i9100 does not
These are the basic differences. I have posted a link which explains many differences further....
Developer support for both these roms has been exceptional and are still continuing...

IMO Price reduction may be due to the carrier supplying these devices at a subsidized price. But I am not aware of the exact reason. Are you purchasing brand new or used?

Intl has better resale value and less bloated stock software.

There should be a delete button for the thread so that i could delete this. Because i know this is not that valuable for others. Dont you guys this so?

definately the i777 following the reasons outlined before
777 vs 9100

Hey guys, I searched for this, but didn't really find an answer. so here it goes...
I am upgrading my phone 9/22, I had a Samsung Infuse 4G, I wanted to get some real world opinions about the Galaxy Note. How well does it work for you? Are you happy with it? Are there any ram issues(not enough?).
I'm trying to decide between the Note and S3, I know the S3 is newer and has more ram, but I'm really leaning toward the Note.
So what say you?

I would also wait for the note 2, if you can hold out that long. If not, with all of the awesome devs here, we have most of the features that the s3 has plus the advantage of the bigger screen. So I would pick the note.

No worries, and if you decide on a Note or S3, or the Note 2, all have great support and the Communities of user are great and providing, I have been in all those threads, and as you know coming from the Infuse Community that being a great supportive Community, You will have no problem in any of these mentioned Threads/Community. IMHO
Good Luck & Thx....you might see some familiar names in all these threads mentioned above...
I have infuse and note. My co-worker has S3. Note is way better then infuse. But only 1gb ram. S3 has 2gb ram so It works better then note sometimes. Note2 will be the answer.

Hello fellow users, I've been here on XDA for a couple years now and I am wondering what the difference is between the original ROM development section and the android development section in our main forum the Galaxy S III. Can anyone explain that?
And a question about CM, because it seems to be very popular. I used it too on my Galaxy S I, but on my 3 I just can't find the reason to do it. Can anyone explain why so many people have it or why you got it? The main reason why I don't use it is the camera, on CM it is not the same quality, way worse. Panorama for instance, here on Samsung based roms I make xxx by 1600 pixels and on CM I made xxx by 800 pixels or so.
