Hi guys, I just got my Galaxy Tab yesterday, and was sad to find it preloaded with TouchWiz. I'm willing to give it a few days to see if its useful, otherwise I'll remove it.
I have a Social Hub widget on my homescreen, and it never refreshes by itself. I need to keep hitting the refresh button every time I want to see new content. Is there some way to set the refresh rate, or is this how it was designed? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a widget?
(I come from Sony Ericsson's Timescape interface, where I had a nice scrollable widget that would auto update feeds every few minutes)
I'd remove the social hub widget and install Tabr, Social for Tabr and Agenda for Tabr. They were made by an XDA guy and it's an awesome widget that refreshes and is light on resources.

This one works great! No more social hub Thanks a bunch
No worries. Once I discovered it, I was hooked.

Okay, I believe everyone has seen LG Star Clock Widget somewhere and it's beautiful, so I created a graphic file myself. I suck at coding and know nothing about it. So, If you are a coder, feel free to jump in and make us proud.

Look for "Go Weather" in the market - looks remarkably similar!

If they are Snow clock, Night clock and Grass clock, then they're all mine also.
This might be a bit silly but I haven't found out how to remove a set alarm in the clock application (Galaxy Tab 10.1 with TouchWiz UI).
Any hints?? Thanks.
When you get to the screen with your alarms, tap and hold on the particular alarm doesn't bring up the option to edit and delete?
LOL had a hard time with this couple days ago and found out that you cant disable it from the clock widget (only set it) have to go in the Applications --->Alarm
and here you are !

OK, let me be more precise. I am talking about the alarm clock widget. If I tap on that widget, I can set alarms, but strangely, I cannot delete them. This works in the Alarm app, but not from the widget.
Haha, thanks jeandujardin01! I just found out the same thing, after some frustration and wasted time. This is quite a usability failure, IMO.
I really like the Go Launcher EX widgets, particularly the messaging widget. However, I despise the launcher itself. Dosn't fit with how I want to use my phone or how I want it to look. I want to go back to ADW and keep the widgets. Ideally I would like to know if you could just fix permissions or something and then use the widgets. I would settle for a substitute, but nothing is quite as functional. Pure Messenger, Colorize, & LP+ all look nice but are NOT what I want. I want a widget that works with the stock mms, allows you to scroll through your conversation chat style, shows your replies, and allows you to respond WITHOUT opening the messaging app. (2 Screenshots Below Of The Widget For Reference, Talking About Football On Sunday, Conversation Goes Upward )

So I have just installed CM7 on my Optimus V (should have done this a long time ago) and have everything setup how I like it again. I have one issue that I can't figure out, though. When viewing my calendar, all day events are colored in, but there is no text to say what they are. If I click on the block, the correct description and everything shows up, just not in the "one day" view.
For example, this is what Christmas Day looks like:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If I tap on the bar, I see:
Any ideas?
Unrelated to this, Simple Calendar Widget doesn't seem to work right. It used to be fine, but a couple months ago it stopped showing more than one event at a time on the stock phone. With the installation of CM7, I reinstalled the widget and the same thing. I have Smooth Calendar Widget installed now and it works fine, just is uglier than Simple Calendar. If anyone knows...
Third-party Android app provider GetJar has offering the venerable widget suite for free under their Gold list of apps. Beautiful Widgets, for those of you unfamiliar, is a spectacularly customizable set of widgets available on the Android Market for $2.75. For those afraid of not supporting the developer through the free download, developer actually gets paid per download, so it’s a win-win all around.

BW Super Clock is the best Android clock/weather widget.
I'm trying to make HD quality Xperia clockskin.
Let me know what you guys think about it.
