Lg suit correctly installed, but not working yet on my Win7...
The suit recognizes the phone, but there is no way to sync anything or accessing messages/files as well...
I tried reinstalling both P500 drivers and Lg suite...
Anyone having the same problem?
have you tried myphoneexplorer? I think now it works with android phones
=_= U need PC suite IV not III
hmm....
Firstly you don't need to download the PC Suite from LG, because it's on that 2GB SD Card installed in the phone. Just connect the phone to your pc as mass storage and open the card with explorer. You'll find the software there.
Secondly, both PC Suite and MyPhoneExplorer work great with P500! For MyPhoneExplorer, however, you must activate the Debug mode.

Turn on USB debugging, do not activate mass storage when you been asked.
i also have the same problem
and nothing works
Same Issue
I have tried with USB Debugging on as well as off. It recognizes the phone and pops up the error without initiating step 2.
The worst part is that it sometimes works. I have not idea what the trigger is but one in about 10 tries it sync everything.
So fortunately I do have my contacts but my appointments are often out of sync.
Am downloading myphoneExplorer, would be great if someone can confirm if it also exports the images associated with the numbers in the outlook contacts list.
Cheers,
Vikram.
I had the same "phone not responding" while i was getting my contacts from outllok.
But i turn on the wifi and all went well.
I think turning on wifi will automaticly turn on syncing procedure.
Just a small bug i guess.
Cheers
Zecanilis, thanks a lot for your finding. I was struggling for two days to find out what could be the cause of intermittent syncing. Maybe this bug is not present in newer versions of firmware. Can anyone confirm? My phone has V10B firmware.
BTW, latest LG PC Suite 4 is 4.2.42.20101021. I uploaded it here. You can always got the latest version of PC Suite bundle by using LG Mobile Support Tool which you can download here.
One solution
I always have my wifi on so don't think that that should matter, did a restart of my system and tried it worked, no idea what the dependency is.
However myphoneExplorer works great, syncs with USB or with wifi as well. Atleast there is an option to get my contacts and appointment.
Any idea why the tasks / memo is disabled for syncing ?
Hi
I came across this nifty tool to manage your nook from the desktop (Windows Only).
Awesome one so far. Used it to install/uninstall apps etc. It also has a file explorer which u can use to side load ebooks..
http://www.mobisynapse.com/
sounds nifty! I am checking eet out now.. It must rely on adb?
Has anyone tried this yet? How does it work? Does it sync contacts? Calendar?
it works great!.. You can backup your NC et. al.
Downloading it now, Will try it out.
EDIT: Seems to work just fine, Recognizing Installed Apps. Still trying out all the features.
I can't get it to see the contents of the SD card...
or any other Nook folder for that matter.

After u have rooted your NC with Auto-Nooter, run the NookColor Tools app. make sure that USB debugging is enabled under "Development".
Also make sure that you have "ejected" the nook mounts in windows explorer. only then can u see the nook & sd card folders.
Haven't heard of this one before. On first glance, it looks a bit like iTunes for Android (not unlike DoubleTwist does).
Android Commander may also work. I can use it to manage my rooted Nook B&W. http://androidcommander.com/
I have USB debugging enabled & the NC ejected & still get the massage "You do not connect any device". I reconnected & re ejected the NC with no response from MobiSynapse. What am I doing wrong?

Have you enabled ADB via USB? This maybe required. I have not tried using this without this. If not follow these STEPS and let me know.
Just got back to this & looks like it's working, I think. At least I can see the NC.
Thanks,

Alright, you need to be able to have the drivers setup and everything correctly because I'm not offering support on this. Sorry but I have alot of stuff to maintain so I can't always help. I'll try but I would prefer the community support each other too. (you also need tgps launcher already installed so if you havent rooted, I dont think you will be able to do this.)
Anyway: you need to get the .apk file you want to install and just put it into the directory and name it A.apk b.apk c.apk d.apk and so on. I will have it install up to 26 apps (all the way up to z) then you can remove and start over.
Script download:
here
I will probably update it eventually but right now it's supposed to be very basic.
Manual instructions:
All you need to do is use adb install appname.apk

Basically, for those a little familar with ADB, they didn't block adb install, so you should be able to adb install path\to\app.apk and it will load without an issue. If your not familiar with adb, using xIndirect's method is probably for the best for you.
so the android central sideload wonder machine should work.
In addition, they did not actually close the hole, they just covered it up better. If you sideload anycut, in theory, you can allow any other install. I am going to try it, and let you all know how it goes.

They would have to maintain two versions of their software if they blocked adb install. How are they going to test the apps going into their market.

I have AnyCut installed and created a shortcut to app settings. I reset the "Install from unknown sources" to be checked and then tried installing an app from the Amazon Market. When the package manager ran I got the new will not install dialog. Dang! So I launched the app settings again and noticed that the unknown sources box was unchecked. I checked it again, closed, and relaunched the settings window. The option is unchecked again. Grr....
Installing apps from the Android Market works just fine though, as it does not require the package installer to install an app.
Am I understanding this correctly? So even with un-rooted NT that has updated to 1.41 we can use this method to sideload? I so hope I am understanding this correctly. If so thank you so very much!!!!! If not thanks anyway for helping me learn!!!!!
I have been unable to clear and reset my drivers for the NOOK Tablet.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled but I must not have the right drivers.\
I'm running Win 7 64bit.
Any link would be appreciated.

BUMP, as I was wondering this myself.
I understand how to use adb, but how do I get the Nook Tablet with 1.4.1 in debugging mode? I can't install the tgps launcher apk because it says it is not a Nook Store app. My Nook was previously 1.4.0 and rooted with android market and lots of apps installed. I have no problem with the new side loading method, but I need to figure out how to re-enter USB debugging mode.
Ugh, my Nook just updated to the dreaded 1.4.1 version. I tried the script from XDA and ran it with the command prompt, but it says "error no decide found", even though my Nook Tablet is plugged into my Windows XP Machine. Any ideas why this is happening?
I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
Also, I got the script from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1407023 . I run the Sideload.bat file which usually doesn't run until an Android device has been found, and in MS Dos it says: C:\Sideload>adb wait-for-device . And yet when if I were to install an apk residing in the Sideload folder via Command Prompt, it says no device found.

Scrap that. I thought I had to re-download the apk file. I realized that it is installed as a device app. Once I entered debugging mode I was able to sideload apps onto 1.4.1 using the instructions.
Now I would love to get Android Market working again...

Also, I was wondering if anyone out there has had success access the Android Market after using this new script? Hopefully some of the root teams/specialists out there can find use a better answer that going by to sideloading.

If you rooted 1.4.0, you would have used tgps launcher downloaded over the air. Once you run (install) the tgps launcher, it remains in your android apps installed on the Nook tablet after the 1.4.1 is installed by B&N. Just unplug your USB cable, run tgps launcher, go into te development settings, enable two debugging options, disable auto mount. Then when you plug in USB it should pop up a notification that you are in debugging mode.
Do "adb devices" from a command prompt. If your device is found, you can adb install apps.
so this won't work for unrooted? got my mom this for xmas, we had 1.4.0 and started sideloading apps...then outta nowhere today, the OTA came through and now i can't do anything. when i try this method, it tells me device not found. it doesn't show up under adb devices, either.

Looks like your only option will be to manually downgrade to 1.4.0 and load all the apps you want. You can also prevent OTA update to 1.4.1. Search the forums for the instructions. That sucks.
Alternatively, wait and see if a 1.4.1 root comes out.

Thanks, this works great. I know there is a way to root and install google apps on 1.4.1 now, but I'm fine with this since I don't have to go through the process of losing and then restoring all the apps and books I have loaded.
Just like another person mentioned, all one has to do is have NT Hidden Settings or tgps_launcher installed prior to the upgrade to be able to enable USB debugging.
Recently got a Fujitsu T-01D and want to know if there is a way to root this phone. Found unlockroot.exe but it seemed to have virus.
Also, on screen capture (not available on this phone), already tried No Root Screenshot It app from Market but it does not work, because the computer does not detect the phone:
http://www.fmworld.net/product/phone/usb/t-01d/download.html
Already installed this official USB driver on the computer, but when the phone is plugged into the comp (via USB debugging mode), the comp still does not detect the phone.
Seems like the computer has problem detecting the phone (both Wins and Mac)
Even the developer of the screenshot app cannot solve the problem
Does anyone know?
P.S. tried another method but still failed:
installed PDAnet on the computer, and then installed PDAnet app from Market to the phone, but the computer still could not detect the phone.
have u press the "turn on USB storage" in the notification bar?
What's the status now? Can you share the unlockroot file for us?
well, you must uninstall the mass storage device in the device manager.
and then the comp will find a unknown device called t-01d,update driver for t-01d.
now comp can detect my t-01d,but i don't find any root tools which really work.

open folder .android
【Windows XP】
C:\Documents and Settings\<login user>\.android\
【Windows Vista, 7】
C:\Users\<login user>\.android\
creat a new txt file under folder .android, write 0x04C5 in the txt file, and then save file as adb_usb.ini.
now comp can detect my phone with ddms tool, and also root tools.
you may download incorrect driver for phone, this is the ADB driver for T-01D.

When I plugged the phone to the computer, and launched the enabler software, it went ok because the computer could see the phone.

Hi,
I'm the developer of the "no root screenshot it" application. Please make sure that the phone is DISCONNECTED from the computer when you take the screenshot. If you still have problems, please do the following:
1) start the app
2) goto the 3rd tutorial screen
3) press the menu button
4) send me the error log.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, wifi tether is a japan only feature for no root devices.
You can find this tip 'A subscription to sp-mode is required to use tethering.'
on the docomo official website:

and docomo don't provide Hong Kong Service.
So waiting for root.
Finally,i am sorry for my English. It may confused you,and i always forget capital letters.

Hi.
Anyone managed to get wifi tethering working after rooting?
Hi
I would like to connect my Yamaha digital piano to my Nook HD (I currently connect the paino to a PC via Midi IN/OUT to USB cable which works fine). I thought that rooting the Nook and running USB Host Check would provide the answer but the apps I have tried (Perfect Piano being the most appropriate) don't recognise a device as being connected.
I am sure there must be a way and would very much appreciate any help. Running a cable to my PC each time I want to record something is driving me crazy.
Maybe this could help: http://www.musicalandroid.com/1/pos...o-record-sound-with-your-audio-interface.html ?
According to this: http://www.mikrosonic.com/rd4-midi-android These kinds of things work best at least 4.1.x but 4.2+ would be better. Might need to try a custom rom as well then.
I've not had any experience with this stuff, just found some info for you. Hope it helps!

Thank you very much for the info - it all looked very promising.
USB Audio Recorder won't detect the piano when connected using the midi IN/OUT cable, it is looking for a sound card.
I am thinking that it may work if I connect it via the headphone socket.
Strangely enough if I don't have a Jack to USB cable to hand - but I have ordered one as it must be worth a try!!
Many thanks again for your help
No problem. Let us know if you figure it out in case someone else is looking for a similar solution.

Just to let you know that the cable didn't work! damn!
I have found USBHostSwitcher.apk on one of the forums here, which looked like it would do the trick.
I have downloaded it from a couple of locations but APK Installer comes back with an 'unable to parse' error message.
It either doesn't like my Nook, or the Android version, or ME!
The quest continues.
Thanks again for your help

Found this on a Nook HD site and uploaded to my Dropbox and tested it. Installed fine for me. I don't have any use for the app, just tested to see if it installed correctly. If it still fails again, then you need to switch browsers or download on PC and transfer over.

Make sure you have the right drivers installed.
Plug in Nook with USB Debugging enabled
Put USBHostSwitcher.apk into the folder you unzipped with the files for adb.
Open CMD Prompt and change directories to the adb folder
Run:
adb install USBHostSwitcher.apk <enter>

Installed Minimal ADB and Fastboot version 1.1.3.
Whilst I can access the Nook from the PC no problem, ADB can't find the device.
Other people seem to have had the same problem - none of the solutions seem to work.
In fact at least one of them caused problems with Windows reporting that there was a problem with the Nook connection.
I have had to restore my PC to a position a couple of days ago to undo the problem.
I have installed Minimal ADB and Fastboot again but it still can't find my device.
Are you running a custom rom like CM or just whatever comes on the Nook?
