Any of you guys got the clear/grey holster that your MT3GS clips in?
I got one weeks ago, and love how it holds the phone, but I've noticed it is grinding the red finish off my frigging phone.
Anyone else?

well all of those cases will rub off the finishing like or not
The same thing is happening on my black one. It is rather sad how few decent accesories are out for this phone, if I had known this before I may have just waited for something with more aftermarket support.
I agree, it's sad as hell. OEM accessories shouldn't damage the phone at all.
My wife has the Plaid one on hers, and it hasn't worn anything off.
Nothing was worn off of my G1 from the cases on it, nor my Dash, nor my Behold.
Probably not so much the accessory but the paint on the phone.
Personally I'm scared of one of those snap in holsters. The only one I've ever tried that worked perfectly was the OEM snap in one for my Blackberry 8700.

That's because the plaid one is higher quality and actually has padding it.
You have to pay attention to what you buy. Some OEM stuff is high qual, some is cheap as hell... I'd recommend going in a store so you can try it out first instead of buying from tmobile online. It is much harder to tell that way and I do agree if your gonna pay for oem stuff (which is always higher than others) you should get better quality but sometimes their vendor may make cheaper stuff for some and better vendors make the others. It's a pain for all and comes full circle when tmo has to replace your phone because their very product that was supposed to protect it, actually ruined it, lol
I paid attention to what I bought, I also test fit the device at the store before I bought it. It is very well made, and holds the screen against the body to keep your screen from getting damaged or knocked open.
None of this matters, as it is sold as an OEM item by T-Mobile, and nothing they sell should EVER damage any phone, especially without a warning before hand.
Hello everyone, i've seen there are a lot films for the screen.
I need to replace it, but as far as i've seen, HTC does one which comes 9.9€;
Should i take it??
Or should i go for the ebay's one?

thanks!!
I suggest to get the cheapest on. I,ve ordered alot of screen protector for my phones and they are all about the same thing.
I've ordered those one at 0.99$ from China and do the Job #1. I change it as soon as the shiny finis is gone (after 3-4 month)
don't get it too thik because you lose touch screen sensibility.
i was just about to buy the htc's..
I don't know which flavor phone you have, but AT&T currently has a three pack online for $5.00
http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-ph...060233&q_manufacturer=htc&q_model=prod4000225
I ordered three packs as the phone is no longer online and I am sure these will be gone soon too.
Get the AT$T ones as they are a perfect fit. I bought some off eBay and while they fit they were just slightly larger overall. This makes them not sit flat on the screen giving you a slight bubble along the edge and you can feel the edge with your finger when you slide it across. I've lifted mine inadvertently a few time because of this.
mirror screen
I saw an Ipod with a mirror screen once and i believe there out for rhodiums as well. can anyone reccomend a good one thats cheep?

That's exactly the reason i entered this thread. I have had a pair of mirror screen protector sitting in a drawer for moooonthssss. The previous one was my first, but it did the job and time forbiding, i left it alone. But tonight i took a few minutes and installed the first of my mirrored screen protectors!!!
WOW
i don't get why all the others are still available. People you won't believe it!
I didn't pick any specific ebay seller. Just hit the cheapest i saw( i also bought the tv out thingy from the same seller, haven't tried that one out either)
You may read around that it darkens the screen a bit. That may well be so but no remarkably enough to stop you from using it!

Update.
All good, apart from direct sunlight. Everyphone suffers in that area, mirror screen protector sucks worse!
Honestly get the Zagg ones. I dropped my HTC Touch Pro 2 twice, while running, face DOWN, and it skidded for like 5 feet. I've got scratches on the inside of the phone, on the case, but the screen itself is perfect. Best money I ever spent.

I second the Zagg. Garanteed protection. I am done with those cheap dozen for a penny protectors that last maybe a month, bubble up, don't fit, peal off, etc, etc... Sure they are cheap, but what a waste of time...
I typically go with the full body style from Zagg to provide an almost complete protection of the phone and enhance the style. You can buy them from Zagg.com, Amazon.com or if you prefer the touchy feely you can typically get them at Best Buy. Come with an applicator spray and squeegie to ensure there are NO bubbles!
Just my 2¢...
Overall I've really liked my Defender--I just found a "new" feature where the belt clip can stay open for even MORE kickstand options!--but it's a little bulky, the battery is a ***** to remove, and already, even though I've been very careful with the case (barely left the house since I bought it since I've been home studying all day!) there are noticeable white "specks" on the screen and the bottom latch that holds the two plastic pieces together has broken somewhat!
Again, I've loved the protection (though one last thing that bugs me is how the screen protector is cut a hair too low at the top). Think Best Buy will honor the return, no questions asked, etc? I've still got the receipt, box, etc., and it's within the return period (30 days).
Thanks for any advice, including alternate great-protection cases with less bulk and/or easier to take off to do a battery pull!
Panamaniac
PS: the "speck" is out of focus, sorry. There are several like this that I can't seem to remove. Cant even tell if they're on the inside, outside, are a scratch, or what!!
The only complaint I really have is the height of the case next to the screen. It makes hitting those corners on the touchscreen too difficult.
Other than that, I have been pleasantly surprised. I will still probably switch it out when the Kraken II or Ballistic is unleashed.
Yes best buy will let you return it the otterbox defender rip off my invisible shield and best buy was like o sorry and she returned it
yeah the will. I returned mine with some nicks on it and they took no questions asked. I really dont need that much protection right now..once I start my job again then I will pick it up until then im rocking a TPU case and it works amazing. Ive dropped my phone onto my houses doorway edge and nothing was hurt or broken.
Ya touching the sides is difficult at times, and that's been annoying.
Thanks for the info on easy returns, I might do just that...
Snarebum, when you say TPU, I know that refers to a certain material (the fake silicone stuff right), but do you also mean a super-cheap one or what? what case did you get?
they are not super cheap material as far as I can tell..
heres the one I bought and I absolutely love it!

today i checked my s3, i found this the paint of my inside screen "back" key peeling off near the border inside the gorilla glass, its really faint but if u look close u can see it, i heard samsung have problem with the blue version but my gs3 is only 2 weeks old, never feel, so far only thing it could get there is a raindrop.
anyone else here experience something similar? was trying to get picture but its really thin hard to notice.
i dont think warranty will cover it, especially since i root it, and its perfectly working phone. sadly in a year when i can sell it probably going to lose more paint.
I feel your pain bro imperfections bug the hell out a me because once you notice it your always looking at it , I've had no issues with my pebble blue beast yet but this is my second one in 2 weeks the first one I messed up flashing modems anyway phone the store and tell them there's a problem with your phone when trying to answer calls that's what I did ten days after buying mine , and see if they will exchange it , if yes just wipe binary factory reset and take that ***** back , at the end of the day its a £500 pound smartphone if your not happy you should be able to return or exchange it , I'd go to the shop and make them exchange it or else : ) good luck don't waste time

no, but the peeling was inside the screen and it looks really over the thin border... i have only 2 weeks with the phone.
i got it on contract on claro, and i doubt they going to exchange it over something so small as paint :/
i looked in AT&T gs3 forums and pretty similar to the border chrome peeling off issue :/, like my n82 eventually it all wear off with time.
The only reason there were launch delays for the SGS3 were because of the pebble blue version even though they are made of the same material you can look closely that they have a difference with the white version in the feel of your palm. Manufacturer's are having a crisis in the pebble blue department that's why I took the white one instead.

Just unroot/triangle away and return to store. Its worth a try.
I'm using a TPU case with screen protector since day 1 as always. No problem.
Okay I can't say that I own a s3 but with Samsung phones in general I can tell you this. My Samsung impression(dinosaur) had the same problem. After awhile the paint was coming off chipping and all that. Its just what Samsung uses I suppose just had to put my two sense in

My top left hand corner stainless steel paint peel off. my phone in the protective case first day! I don't even till I was shopping for extra case, remove it and there it is black color!
Do you guys think they exchange another one for me?
Can we see some images?
No case/protector here since day 1. Phone is about a month and half old. As good as new, no paint peel, no scratch/crack on its own.
would be hard to get a picture, its really small but its pretty much blue paint peeling from the lighter blue border, it looks black below. its really faint,i dont touch it so it doesnt remove more paint
i going to ask tomorow but i doubt it, they gotta replace it.
if not, i guess i will have to order online a protector. but even n82 took a while for the paint to peel, this took 2 weeks.
I have been using mine with no protection at all for a few weeks now and have not had any issues- blue s3

Guys, I need help. I've bought a used RAZR HD a month and a half ago and it was in a very good condition. 9/10, maybe even 9.5. had just a scratch or two on the rim around the screen.
Since then, I've dropped it onto concrete two times and on both occasions in went corner down, so now I've got two completely wrecked corners. Nothing else is broken, it's all fine, the kevlar back is pretty much mint, the screen is great, it's just that rim that is now completely ruining the look of the phone...
Did anyone face the same problem and what have you done to fix it, if anything? The only idea I've got now is to sand down the rim to be at level with the screen, that would possibly make it look good again. Naturally, I'd be very careful as to not scratch the screen...
Can that rim be replaced anyway? I'll check out the disassembly guides and videos now to see whether it goes together with the screen...
I'm so annoyed right now. The second drop happened minutes ago... God flipping damn it. The problem is that Moto's have not been widely used here in Serbia for years now and that makes the availability of any equipment for them more than scarce. I'll be ordering a universal case right now (the one in which you slide the phone in and out) but I'd still love to make it look good again.
Flipping damn it
*edit*
According to this video... It's glued very very strongly together - http://youtu.be/LfAyttf6fWU
That's just great... And I can't even find a silicon case, be it no name or branded, to cover it all up. Will see if I can order anything from across the border.

Was this with a case on the phone or with the phone not in a case? Just curious as I have my phone in a case and have dropped it on the corner and no issue like you describe. In fact, no scratches at all.

The phone was bare naked, mate. I haven't got any kind of case as of yet
*edit* Here goes a couple of picture, so someone could relate... I'm so annoyed that I've put it up for sale. If nobody takes it, I'll be sanding the rim/bezel. Perhaps all around, perhaps just this corner, not sure for now...

i recommend an otterbox defender, got mine off amazon for 20 dollars and because they are guaranteed for life i have gotten two replacements for free. i have dropped my phone off a 12 foot ladder and have thrown it against walls( dont ask) and have zero scratches or dents. phone is in mint condition.

This would be it, right - http://youtu.be/Eg5qkRCm5pU ? But, doesn't it turn what is already a quite a big phone into a massive one? Because it certainly seems so I'm guessing this cannot fit a pocket of any sort of pants? But it does seem to offer outstanding protection. Alas, at what a price, both functionality and monetary-wise (the price is $40+ on amazon?)... But even if I wanted to spend that amount of money on a case, I'd have to keep my fingers crossed for probably no less than a month, hoping that it will eventually arrive, intact and without many additional fees. Third world problems...
Thanks for the advice, anyway! I might pick up the Commuter edition, it seems more reasonable for my needs

yes thats it, im in construction so i went with defender, my sister has commuter and it seems to offer a level of protection for most peoples uses (2-3 foot drops) and yes it does make the phone bigger so if thats a concern i would go with commuter, also the screen protector on the defender is part of the case but with the commuter its a stick on screen protector if that matters to you( i can never get those to go on without wrinkles) i beleieve the 40 $ ones are the black ones bc otterbox stopped making them i bought a black one for 20$ 6 months ago

Thanks for the information once again, mate! And, yeah, I just figured out that there are different versions. The one with pink details is the cheapest...damn
We'll see how I can get my hands on one. The shipping fees are going to be higher than the price of the case itself, ffs :/

Here's what I have (well, it's the same style but mine is a Body Glove that I purchased from Walmart but I cannot find it anywhere online):
http://www.amazon.com/Diztronic-Mat...9233999&sr=8-2&keywords=motorola+razr+hd+case
It's worked well so far. I've dropped my phone a couple of times, once face down and maybe two times on the side and/or corner, and my phone has been protected.
Overall, it adds a little bulk, but nothing like an Otterbox. I can put this into my pants pockets without much issue.

This is very much like the generic cases available here for most smartphones, priced at $2-3. Would you say that your case has a premium quality and is worth the higher price? Because I've found those generic ones available together with free shipping on eBay. But I know how lousy their protection and appearance are, so I'm still weighing my options.

Again, that is not exactly the case I have, but I purchased it at a Walmat department store for about $14.
It feels rubbery and it's flexible when the phone is not in it. Mine says "Body Glove" on it but I cannot find it on their site (they don't list any cases for the Droid RAZR HD).
Overall, I wouldn't say it's premium quality (not like I had with my Otterbox cases for my OG RAZR MAXX that I used to own), but it does seem to do the job for me. As I said, I've dropped the phone face down with the case I have (which is similar to the one I linked to on Amazon) and the phone came out unscathed. It was about a three foot drop onto the concrete floor in my garage if that gives any indication.

Another vote to the Diztronic - it would cover that damage and will prevent the same type of damage when you drop it again. Mine has lived in one of these since I got it and gets tossed around all the time. Has landed face first a few times and has not skipped a beat thanks to the raised lip.

Thanks, mate. The Diztronic looks wonderful compared to the chinese "s-line" thing I bought because of free shipping... It's just crap and it doesn't even cover the edges properly - the left one is fine, but it cannot stay on top of the right one. Check the picture for illustration. I'll be sure to get the Diztronic one in the future. Can you just tell me whether its rubberised or is it just the matte finish making it look as if though it were? Because it looks like it is and that it's insanely sticky and that I wouldn't be able to stick it in my pocket, but I guess it's just the matte finish
