i have tried installing cyanogen 7.1 cooper-kang beta,rc1,cyanoace rc2.1,HaniGenMod1.0 all af them keep boot looping after reaching google sign in
I have tried all the suggestions on the forum i.e.
factory reseting,wiping cache,wiping dalvik cache,
for cyanoace i flashed kpb stock rom via odin before flashing
but the boot loops continue endlessly
are there any more suggestions for what i should do
or should i just accept there is a problem with my phone

wipe data /factory reset + wipe dalvik cache + battery stats + format system using CWM and then i flashed the indian firmware DDKQ5 (5file format using ODIN) then flash CWM and wipe data factory reset and then install CM7 and try to boot. I know its a long process but for me it worked
I had a same problem..when there was backup app on my phone it was getting constant boot..now its working all good after removing them.

Hi,
I just flash the Rom Batista70 3.6, after flashed, I found that it is not the ROM I want, so I flashed my S2 to other ROM. However, The boot logo have been changed to "Batista70" and I am unable to restore it to original one, can someone show me how can I change the bootup logo back to the original?
Ir you flashed vía cwm then you will have a copy of the old Rom on your internal SD card.wipe it.then do a full wipe again and factory reset from recovery and re-install the new Rom.once done don't forget to wipe stats.
Do a full wipe before doing anything (flashing ROM, restoring backup and so on), and trust me, you will forget half of problems that you're experiencing now. I always see here people complaining here on that or that and most of these problems can be solved by doing full wipe (cache, data, system, Dalvik cache)
I already wipe everything before flash MIUI1.8.12, seems the previous rom replace default logo files that other roms seldom replace

thanks for the reply I tried that but it didn't work, I retried the bootloop sticky both for gingerbread and ICS but that didn't work either, I can boot into download and recovery mode.
I can flash CWM and I have retried to flash checkrom v6 from sd card but just stays on S boot screen.
Could the ICS update from Samsung have caused the problems I am having? I have previously flashed a number of different ROM's via odin and CWM with no problem at all
cheers
Mike
Hard to believe, when you format data, system, cache. It's a clean slate..... You should not be boot looping anymore..... Do again, flash stock GB ROM after that.... Wait 3 to 5 minutes. Takes time on first boot.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
Oh after wiping and formatting system, you should be doing Odin only stock flash.

I gave up in the end and took it to a local shop to see if they could fix it
thanks for the help if they don't get it running I will try your method
Mike
Ok so I have my phone back from the shop who could not fix it either, it booted but when trying to use phone etc it just hangs, so I flashed cf-root formatted system, cleared cache, and user data then re flashed stock rom XEU_I9100XWKI4_I9100XEUKH2_I9100XXKI1
bootloop removed battery restarted bootloop
I am now dl I9100XXLPQ_I9100H3GLP2_H3G see if that works I might have to send it off to Samsung see if they can fix it I will have to pay as warranty will be void :-(
Ok so after numerous attempts at flashing I now have a partially working phone using GT-I9100_XEU_I9100XWKI4_I9100XEUKH2_I9100XXKI1.tar.md5 I say partial because everything is working except when I recive a call I cannot hear the person and they cannot hear me? and I get com.android.phone is not responding options to wait or close
wifi, googlestore, send sms, updates, keyboard all works perfectly
any idea what's causing this driving me nuts now
My P500 hasn't been co-operating AT ALL lately. Every custom ROM that I flash and try out gets stuck in bootloops after rebooting. I don't flash anything apart from what the developer says to flash, but I always get stuck on bootloops. Also, whenever I try restoring a nandroid backup, it gets stuck in a bootloop as well. Every reboot causes a bootloop. What am I doing wrong?

It could be your sd card causes. Try to use another sd card and install a rom. Just a suggestion.

Hm, never thought of that. I'll test it out tonight and I'll get back to you.
Do you clear data, and system and boot before flashing?

Yeah, I do all the prerequisities everytime I flash a new ROM. Wipe Data, Cache, dalvik, /System, but it still bootloops.
Right now I'm on CM7.2 Nightly with Stock kernel, but I wanna test some other ROMs to help out with development. Of course, I can't because of this bootloop issue.

bootloops
try flashing a lg 2.3.3 stock rom then flash something else i had the same problem that fixed it
I already am using AmonRa - forgot to mention.
I did notice in the phone info for each ROM I use, the baseband would have some weird characters like ".\*@ ../?" rather than the "LGP500 V20G etc etc" that it should have. So, I re-flashed the new baseband via LGMDP.exe and now I'm using the AOPK APHONETHATIUSE custom ROM and it seems to be fine.
I also did reformat and partition the SD card just to be sure that there's no problems with that.
I'll use it for a while and I'll see what happens.
I had the same problem flash it with v20g first with kdz and u can use it in any manner; )

I've been using a galaxy Y S5360 for almost 18 months and I have been using custom ROMs for around 15 months. First I tried Creed 3.5 and loved it. A few months moved to Jellyblast 3 which was again fine. Two days ago I tried installing Hyperion and my phone got bricked I managed to flash stock ROM using odin . But now my phone gets bricked everytime I try installing a custom ROM ( tried Creed 3.5, Jellyblast 3 and Hyperion 8) :crying: and Im stuck with the stock ROM :crying: .Is there any way to fix this problem
Change your custom recovery, or did you do the following when flashing a rom?
1. Wipe Data
2. Wipe Cache
3. Wipe Dalvik Cache
4. Wipe Battery Stats
5. Fix permissions.
If you need further assisstance please post it as a reply below.

I've finally managed to install hyperion (after trying for several days). But now got another problem. The phone switches off automatically once in every few hours and wont reboot. When I go to recovery mode, the "system" is unmounted automatically under mounts and storage. If I remount the systems and reboot mu phone, it boots up without any problem... but again the phone switches off after a couple of hours. Is there any way to solve this problem without flashing it??

Hello,
Recently, I was having problems with my cache partition being corrupt as I could not install apps from the play store. To fix this, I flashed stock rom S5830i_XXLI1_ODDLI1_DDLI1. After flashing via odin, I got stuck in a bootloop and had to flash cyanogenmod RC 3 with the CM kernel after which the phone started working. Since then I have lost my IMEI number. I tried flashing S5830i_XXMC1_ODDLK1_DDMC1 but my phone is again stuck in bootloop? I think the kernel is the reason why I lost my IMEI, so I dont want to flash it again. Is there anyway I can get my phone to working conditions?
I have tried the Hex workshop method which hasn't yet worked for me.
In CM 7 Rom,IMEI bug is not solve. Search in xda you will get the information about how to restore IMEI or see CM7.2 Rom's thread and comments.
