actually i have a backup b4 this **** happen.. im just wondering if there's a solution to this
go into manage applications and look at every app, watch out for the cache size also. If nothing turns up just try clearing the cache/data of the apps that could be responsible(new, unreliable)

It's. No dax, it's sae old story, either your APN list + name doesnt have yours, or the old / new baseband thing. 6.5.8 has nothing to do to that. Search how to fix it..

u flashed from the sd card only right?
Phone FC
Problem is when im dialing the number and presses the call sign. Then it says, "sorry" and the process has stopped, blablabla... FC. BUT: I was able to get hold of the person i rang, but she couldnt hear me tho. The reciever symbol also shows no reception after this FC. Ive rebooted several times, and the issue stays the same.
What can i do to solve this issue?

As far as my problem goes (phone fc), im using PerfectPeso 1.2 NBB.
Flashed with CWM. All works perfectly, except the main purpose with a phone, calling / recieving calls.
I'm having problems flashing the rom....
I originally had IHO (cm7.2) on the phone. Having issues with that so I'm tryin to go with PP. I cleared the cache, dalvick cache, user data, formatted data, system, cache, and boot. I flash PerfectPeso 1.2 NBB on with no problem. Then I try to boot and I'm stuck at the LG logo screen. I've tried fixing the bootloop in the recovery with no luck. Am I doing something wrong?

I tried to reflash the rom, but the same issue appeared. There's a bug with the default theme. They said at the dev. post that the problem was fixed by switching to LunarUI.
As I restored my stock rom i havent been able to test it out, but im sure Trettet will fix the default theme as well.

Only available option in storage settings is erase sdcard with this and many other roms I would try if it doesnt erase ext2 partition???
SDcard works fine with 2.3.3 v20 based roms.
Erase card do nothing, because system doesnt find it.
Ok. Now ive wiped all and reflashed the rom, using LunarUI. The good news is that im now able to call (no phone fc). The bad news is that data wont work (yes, im on NBB), and there's a symbol indicating that the sim card isnt proper installed.
As im just a jr. member, I cant write this in dev. post.

Stock rom running out of 'store' juice?
Why am i not shocked.
Seen it.. the stock rom is... bad.
i've used this phone almost 1 year with no problems for cyanogen mod 7.1.0
when i play some apps general i've notice a bit slow running like exactly if you have a pc old that run pretty slow for playing game.
This never happened when i buy first time but now i have this problems from a fews days ago i also didnt installed others apps untyl now so i have no idea where exactly come out this problem.
Thought i have too much apps around 99 apps so i've take decision to format all on sdcard and data, cache and wipe data factory reset (i've also flash from 7.1 to 7.2 cyanogen) and wipe dalvik. Like everyone do usually....
At the end when is empty all apps i tried to install JUST one game and still got same problem.....its running SLOW sometime but i dunno why.
Someone can explain me why do this strange behavior? is a problem hardware? i dont think is something to do on software or programs apps issue.
this make me nervous now...
Can you try installing a different ROM?

Ok but doesnt make sense if before was working fine with version 7.1 almost 1 year (i tried reinstall 7.1 but is same problem) so why having problems now? i dont have nothing on phone right now is pretty clean cause of formatting at all...
So come to think this phone is not normal...
Format your /data /system /cache and /dalvik. Then flash whatever rom u want. I would suggest first downloading the newest cm7 or cm9. But u could stick with what u had if u Want.

Yeah i did already exactly what u say formating data + system + cache and davilk yes and also i tried to download last version for cm7. (that why i say 7.2 instead 7.1 now after all is last version already..)
EDIT= i did format too sdcard definitly complet i guess and result? nothing
No is not possible! I tried to flash now for last cyanogen mod 9 nighty and still SAME PROBLEM AGAIN.
Help i cant do nothing?? I tried many alternative but im out of idea now -.- so sad...
Really not sure what the problem is but I just wanted to suggest that you return to stock via Odin and see if you are still experiencing the slowdown.
I m using an X.Mini on Mesa Kernel 1.4 and stock rooted ICS.
I uninstalled Sony s crap,I restored my apps with Titanium Root,
rebooted, wiped dalvik cache but now I m getting the message that Android is upgrading and starting applications on every boot.
Plus it takes more than usual to complete each restart.
So,what should I do?
Maybe wipe cache partition?
There must be a solution!

Me too, I don't quite understand what happened. It looks like your dalvik cache gets wiped every time you restart. However I don't think Titanium Backup has that behavior. Maybe you created a bug when you deleted some system apps? It's difficult to remove system apps since the install is odexed by default AFAIK.

If you use Systemapp Remover (paid app) it will handle that for you.
@OP and anyone else, yes, if TB is messed up it can cause the wipe of dalvik cache on every reboot. No it is not a setting, but if you messed with an app with out deleting the odex then yes it can screw up things on you cache. But thats not because you deleted the app with out odex, it would mainly be the way TB handles that leftover odex. Most likely it just leaves it there.
Best thing to do is reinstall TB, if it happens again, boot to cwm, wipe cache and dalvik, then fix permissions. After first reboot, wait for system to settle then reboot once more just to check its not doing it. Then go into TB, just run it. Don't delete any apps, then reboot again, with TB running in the background and see if it happens again.
If it does then it is a problem with either that TB version, or with your .apk. so either download it again or try a different version. Or wait for an update.
Another possibility is the way your rom is handling TB removing apps. In which case you rom is messed or again its the TB version not working correctly for your fw.
Cheer, hope I helped,
Evil.
I don't understand the technical aspect of this but in practice it did work!

Dats ICS Feature.....
for me the best way possible to solved this problem is to disable TB from auto-backup your apps....also it will be more practical to fix permisson (using Rom Manager & etc) after you have restore a backup from TB....
while i do have TB on my phone, i prefer to use SystemApp Remover (paid apps) cause it is a simple apps for remove/backup your apps....
Hi guys,
I've finally upgraded my phone and put a custom rom on it. I went with CyanogenMod 10.2, as it's in a stable version, however it keeps freezing for me..
Previously I had the stock Samsung Touchwhiz Android, and that would freeze sometimes also. As it turned out, it was due to the amount of free space on my internal sd card, so creating a bunch of 'dummy' files, so that there wasn't much free space, would prevent the freezing.
My question is, could this free space problem still be an issue with the new Cyanogenmod rom installed? The new rom freezes very often, a lot more often than it would with Touchwhiz, but I've got heaps more free space (as I did a format of the internal card before flashing), so that could be the reason for the increased freeze rate.
If not, how do I go about checking what errors are thrown when my phone does freeze?
Thanks,
Luke

Thanks for the reply. Where do I get the cyanogenmod installer from?
The way I was installing the cyanogenmod was through CWM. I first did a factory reset, then I wiped the cache, then I wiped the dalvik cache, and only after that did I select to apply an update from the sdcard, where I selected the first one from this list (that I had already downloaded and copied to the sd card) http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=i9300&type=stable.
Is this process different to the cyanogenmod installer?
I downloaded the eMMC check app, and it tells me that I have the 'Insane Chip', which means I'm prone to SGS3 Sudden Death. Attached is a screenshot of the app (I've had to take a photo with an old phone, as the S3 had frozen again at this point).
This is after I restored a backup that I had made through CWM, so that's why the icons are green (ala Touchwhiz), and not blue, as per stock android.
Thanks,
Luke
