Is it important to go to the stock ROM if i am thinking of Flashing another rom? And if so how do i get back to the stock ROM?
Its a good practice. Can save you a lot of headaches if you go back to each time. I do it. There's a guide somewhere here

What's everyones take on fusion rom with the v.2 kernel and if I don't like it when I flash back does it replace my stock kernel back thanks for any info

Great rom and kernel combo. If you revert back make sure you flash another full rom that includes a kernal. Nandroid only flashes rom and NOT kernel.
Ok I downloaded the odin rom that's apparently the stock vibrant rom from here do you know if this included the kernel I got the tar and pit files

Fusion is an amazing ROM, I loved it b/c I hate the TW launcher and it was very speedy.
Why thank but I was refering to using odin to flash back to stock in case anything goes wrong or I just wanna go back thanks again abd I have been reading

What I was trying to say (and I said it in more detail in your other thread) was that before you do anything you are making a backup of your system, so if you wanted to go back to stock, you would just restore that. No need to mess with ODIN... unless that was your intent (which I don't see why you would).
Lol sorry about the two threads yea I just want the stock kernel so I can flash it I understand that odin is more for a soft brick recovery

Depending on the theme you choose to install, most have a revert package that will get you back to stock.
Just download the stock rom and install using odin... Thats all.. you will be back to stock.
If I do this, it just clears all data from phone and after I reboot I will still be on cm9 but with no apps and no accounts synced? Is this right?

Yes use the download rar to go back to stock the others are just kernels. You can Odin back from any bad or good situation
Hi! Do you guys know any complete guide about flashing kernels and how to go back to stock? I tried searching but I cant seem to find one. All i see is about roms guide and rooting. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help!

To go back to Stock you need to use TA and then flash your phone using Odin & Stock ROM. Simple as that.
