Hey guys!
This is an easy step by step guide on how to enable dualtouch on x10 mini pro.
1) Download this file mediafire.com/?v6dgy4b339354by
2) Unpack the downloaded file and move the AAIS folder to your SD-card
3) Startup ''terminal emulator'' (you can download it from android market for free)
4) Type ''su'' and press enter
5) Press allow on the superuser pop-up (This will only happen first time you give terminal emulator root acces)
6) Type ''cd sdcard/aais'' and press enter
7) Type ''sh install.sh'' and press enter
8) Type ''9'' and press enter
9) Your device will now reboot and dualtouch will now work
For some reasons maybe you gonna need to repeat the steps 3-4 times (for me it worked first time)
I dont take any responsibilitιes if you damage your phone!
I have tested this on my own x10 mini pro and it worked super! I am sure it also gonna work on other devices
Enjoy!
This will work permantently
or you use the adbmx tool from snikegear. it`s still beta but it works very well on mini pro u20i features:
root
Script Editor
Dual Touch
Over Clock
Xrecovery
... and all in one click
Thanks to snikegear

Why xrec instead of cwm?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
You are absolutly right. The cwm is the better recovery version. So if you don't flash different roms you're fine with cwm. For some roms out there you still need xrecovery to flash them. I use xrecovery as the basic recoverym.from xrecovery you can always flash cwm with this:

Bin4ry for some reason i don't know why i can't use ADB connection with specific phone (probably reason it's a prototype phone) maybe it want different driver. for my other x10 mini RTL i haven't any issue with ADB.
it need a driver called SEMC HSUSB Device (from device manager - Windows)
http: //img219.imageshack.us/img219/557/10102010131939.jpg
I find another way to pull files from this prototype x10 mini with ftp app
If you know how can i solve with issue please tell me!
In the Menu where USB-Debug is located, there should be an option with PC-Companion. If you check this the phone will ask if you want to install PC-Companion if a usb-cable is connected.
If you choose Install on phone, then in Windows a new Drive will popup, the driver should be located there.

@Bin4ry, isn't root required to install io_ex2.ko? Is it not required to dump the boot loader?
Is it worth trying Exploid to gain root? Although I believe we think it won't work. It's got to be worth a try
yes first you need to root the x10 minni
but i think that i is already rooted
then extract this zip to sdcard
forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=407185&d=1285348031
open an terminal emulator app and give in
Code:
su
cd /sdcard
insmod io_ex2.ko
cat /proc/splimage > /sdcard/spldump.bin
then you upload the file spldump.bin
(it is on sdcard)
Nice one wolfilein.
@Lef.teris, when you manage to get the drivers sorted of the adb, please try the following: http://android.doshaska.net/x10miniroot
Edit: although I doubt this will work - try using the drivers from here!

Any other way to gain root? so i can take and upload the file you want!
Another thought - could you right click on one of the devices in screenshot you uploaded (this one) and select properties, then click the details tab. Next in the drop down box select Hardware Ids.
Could you post the text thats in there? Hopefully we'll be able to find a driver

Here is the step by step guide on how to get Flash 10.1 on your Android 2.1(Eclair) geared Xperia X8:
(1) The first step is to download flash_for_21.zip to your computer and extract the .apk file.
(2) Now navigate to the market and install “Apps Installer” utility to your phone.
(3) Now connect your Android phone to the computer and copy .apk file to your SD card. Make sure that it is in SD card root and not in a sub folder.
(4) After this launch “Apps Installer” on your phone and follow the on screen instructions to install flash_for_21.apk file.
(5) After installation is complete, simply reboot your phone and there you go! You now have Flash 10.1 on your phone.

This is discussed many times. It replaces flash lite on android 2.1 devices that support it with flash 10.1. Only HTC devices support flash lite on android 2.1. Xperia line does not support it so this will not work.
I am afraid it doesn't work for Sony Ericsson xperia X8...

It doesn't work on X8. Tried many browsers. Wonder if you have tested or not?
Yep
I am beginning to get sick of android, always all you want to do you have to do it the hard way, problems with java support, flash support, the stupid market way to install apps (no offense but a normal user doesn't know how to use adb to install apks).
To reboot: you need another app
For proxy: you need another app
No native java support
I have put down the simplest (can you say simplest?) instructions for installing Android 2.3.1 Gingerbread on the Xperia X10.
Some may say that dummies should not use Alpha ROMs, however, in this particular case I would disagree. I have been testing this ROM for 3-4 days now and I find that it is ready for daily use if you can give up features such as camera, GPS, and some other stuff.
This ROM is made by Jerpelea, all creds to him. Donate and buy him a beer (or orange juice depending on what he prefers).
Use these instruction with precaution. With this said, if any problems occur and your phone is in any kind of way damaged, I will not be held responsible.
For more info and updates on ROM read the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=911364
According to Jerpelea, you shall install it in this order.
MULTITOUCH INSTALLATION ON (ANY?) 2.x ROM
1. Download MT ENABLER by Bin4ry.
2. Create a folder called "MT Enabler" and move the file that you just downloaded (MT_enabler.rar) into it.
3. Extract the file (MT_enabler.rar) with Winrar or Winzip.
4. Now you will have 2 important files and they're both called "X10flash". One installs the Multitouch via cmd and the other one via X10Flashtool. Double click ONE of them If you choose the one that installs via flashtool you will have to press the button "Flash" that is shown in the program
5. Follow the instructions given and if you are asked to "connect Xperia in flash mode" do so by:
5.1 Turn X10 off
5.2 Disconnect from computer
5.3 Hold down BACK button WHILE inserting the USB cable (be sure that the other end is connected to your computer)
5.4 When the LED LIGHT TURNS GREEN, your X10 is in "flash mode"
6. When it is done remove the USB cable and reboot your X10.
7. Enable Unknown Sources (1) and USB debugging (2)
(1) MENU button -> Preferences -> Applications
(2) MENU button -> Preferences -> Applications -> Development
8. Houston, we have multitouch!
OBSERVE! If you do not have multitouch in your browser or in Google Maps please follow THIS simple guide to enable it! However, I believe you will have it enabled in every app
ROM INSTALLATION
1. If you haven't put in xRecovery in your X10 do so by following the instructions listed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859571&highlight=xrecovery
(read the requirements as well)
2. Download the ROM from here: http://hotfile.com/dl/99887488/c3452ec/gb_beta_0008.rar.html
3. Extract the file (with winrar or winzip) and you will have a folder called "gb_alpha_0008".
4. Inside this folder you will have three folders, of which two are .Zip files. Copy the one called "gapps-hdpi-20101226" and "signed_008" to your phone. Don't copy them to a specific folder, just to the main folder also called the root folder of your SD card. (Of course, to do this you will have to connect your X10 to your computer and mount the SD card).
3. Now unmount your SD card, reboot your phone and enter xRecovery by pressing the BACK button repeatedly when the white "Sony Ericsson" text comes up during the boot up.
4. Inside xRecovery you can navigate up and down by pressing the VOLUME buttons, choosing an option by pressing the HOME button and going back by pressing the BACK button. Now choose...
4.1 "Install custom zip"
4.2 "Choose custom zip from sdcard"
4.3 Find and choose "signed_008.zip"
4.4 Let it work...
4.5 "Choose custom zip from sdcard"
4.6 Find and choose "gapps-hdpi-20101226"
4.7 Let it work...
4.8 Go back and choose "Reboot phone".
Now you have the ROM installed..
However, we're not done here...
Your phone will freeze on the "Sony Ericsson" text thingy.. Now do this:
1. Connect your X10 to your computer
2. Download the Android SDK from here:
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
3. Put the SDK folder that you just downloaded in C:\
4. Open cmd.exe (search for it in your PC) and write the following text without citation marks "" or brackets () :
"cd C:\(the name of the SDK folder that you downloaded)\android\tools" and press ENTER
5. Now write the following, without citation marks "", and press ENTER between each one:
"adb shell"
"busybox killall5"
6. Wait approximately 10 seconds, take out the battery from your X10, put it back in, start your phone..
BACKUP BEFORE INSTALLATION OF NEW ROM VERSION
If you are about to install a new version of this ROM, I am glad to present you a little backup tips from cobrato
If you have installed a previous GB release, do a backup under xRecovery. For subsequent release, after step 4.7: You can do the following:

Guys please i need an advice .... do i wait until this release become stable or jump into Z's 2.2 freeX10 .. is it going to take to long to fix it ? . why they work on HTC and 2.2 if they have 2.3.1 alpha ? i'm confused i don't want to keep losing my apps and settings . i mean i don't wanna keep switching between roms too much. BTW thanks for the Awesome tutorial and i would thank J for spending his time trying to apply 2.3.1 for us

Need help installing xRecovery on XPERIA X10 Mini
Hello all,
Seems there isn't much help for newbies here :-(
I browsed all of the relevant parts of the site (I think):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859571
https://www.xda-developers.com/android/reboot-x10-into-xrecovery-from-os/#comments
And found these links outside xda-developers:
http://www.android-hilfe.de/root-ha...2488-xrecovery-nandroid-auf-dem-x10-mini.html
http://www.mobil-talk.de/android-fa...ecovery-nandroid-auf-dem-x10-mini-nutzen.html
I used the German-language page (http://www.mobil-talk.de/android-fa...ecovery-nandroid-auf-dem-x10-mini-nutzen.html) to install the files, as I'm too stingy too shell out for the applications people here seem to need to install a system tool on their phones...
There are a few things that confuse me greatly, however:
1) What is the version of xRecover (or xrecover-x10mini) that we are supposed to be installing on our phones
2) What is the impact of busybox on the process (current version from the Market installs as /system/xbin/busybox, not as /system/bin/busybox as xRecovery seems to want; I know the chargemon script has /system/bin/busybox hardcoded)
3) What is the correct button to press at boot time of the phone to get into the xRecover application?
I installed several versions of the software I found through this site:
xRecovery-minipro-0.1.1-beta.tar.bz2
xrecovery_signed.apk
Neither of those seems to work on my XPERIA X10 Mini, and I have tried the back, volume up and volume down buttons, and I have tried to change the event from event0 to event1.
I am just trying to install the CyanogenMod 6 ROMs on my phone and am getting very disappointed with the entire process. If and when I do get it to work, I shall attempt to write my experiences down so others might have an easier time than I had.
Despite all the groveling, I do appreciate the community's efforts to make all of this work. I hope I can do my bit to document it better or to help iron out some inconsistencies.
Regards
looks like my problem
for me installing with the flash tool worked. (so just download flash tool and klick the xrecovery button =) )
after that i could copy the new custom rom files to the sd card and install them with xrecovery.
just push the back button all the time while booting repeatly when you got xrecovery succesful installed it should work
Finally ported TWRP to the Medion Lifetab P10505 with working touch.
No guarantees are given, if you damage your tablet, all you do is on your own risk. I have the original ROM from Medion, if you need a full restore.
Please note that the TWRP recovery was not much tested and may be buggy. I didn't test with encryption or the restore process.
Please follow these steps:
1. Download all the files from Mega:
https://mega.nz/#F!pvQCQCxL!dfCHhGkliNSj-Wd3NcRV2ghttp://
2. Unpack all files into the same directory
3. If not done already, install the Intel Driver Package and reboot your PC
4. Unpack the ADB Tools into the directory
5. On your tablet go to your settings and enable USB debugging in the developer options. If you don't see the developer options menu under settings, goto about tablet and tip the build number seven times fast which will reveal the Developer options in the Settings.
6. Copy the file UPDATE-SuperSU.zip to your tablet (via USB or to memory card)
7. Switch off your tablet
8. Press and keep pressed the On/Off button and Volume Down button until you see the bootloader menu. Please press the buttons at the same time.
9. Now connect the table via USB cable to the PC.
10. Open a command window on your PC and change to the above created directory .
11. type the command: fastboot oem unlock (you can lock it again after the whole process if you want)
If this doesn't work goto the below section: Install recovery through flash
12. next type: fastboot flash recovery final_P10505_working_TWRP_3.0.2.0.img
13. Use the volume up or down button until Recovery mode is displayed.
14. Press the On/Off button shortly to start the new TWRP recovery menu. Please be patient until it fully loads. May take a couple of minutes.
15. Now choose install from the menu.
16. Proceed to the folder where you store the UPDATE-SuperSU.zip and select the file and swipe to install.
Note: If you forgot to copy the file to the tablet you can use the windows explorer to copy it to your tablet. There is a new device called Vi10 plus
(as mentioned it is only a port not build from source)
17. The Zip file should install
18. Use the back button to go back to the main menu of the recovery and select reboot and then system.
19. Now you have rooted the device and can create backups in the TWRP recovery.
20. To verify use any root checker tool from play store.
21. Feel free to hit the Thanks button
Install recovery through flash:
If there are any errors you can download the original ROM from Medion.de. You need then the Intel Platform Flash Tool Lite to install the ROM from Scratch (all your data will be lost).
When you run the flash tool, open the file from Medion.de and it will unpack the zip-file in the folder C:\Users\Your account name\.flasher\.download\p1050x-6.0-factory-v2.3
Proceed to the folder Just rename the file final_P10505_working_TWRP_3.0.2.0.img to recovery.img and replace the original file from Medion. Then hit the flash button.
Actually the Intel tool will perform the same command as above.
PS: I read that P10506 is hardware like the same as P10505, so it may work there as well, but no guarantees.
PPS: Credit go to the creators of the TWRP file for the Chuwi Vi10 plus (Highbook), which I don't know their names.
thank you for this, I used it on my P10506, the only difference was thead the command in section 12 has changed to:
fastboot flashing unlock
Cooool!
Did everything on my P10506.

Looking to root and TWRP my familys two P10506s - one still on 5.1 - should I update it to 7.1.1 (last available image from Medion) first?
Download Link
Somebody here who have the files available and can upload it again?
Would be great.
Thanks
