edit later:
forgot to tell you that the FIRST time that i tried to flash this tablet it was stuck in "a n d r o i d _" and after pressing home+back+power it flashed recovery image and tablet opened with 90 degrees wrong screen! tried calibrating gsensor but didnt work.. now after pressing home+back+power it does something but later it says "invalid file system, please check your zSYS.img" .. so im stuck.. im able to flash all images but always stuck

At least some progress was made but it looks like you are just going to keep flashing roms until one works. Since you didn't get the error this time, then maybe you can flash the roms you were trying to flash earlier and possibly one may work.

ok i will do that my friend..now after 2 automatical reboots it says X ERROR OCCURED: BOOTING SYSTEM FAILURE X
you can select YES to try recover, but your personal data will be lost
HOME=YES MENU=NO
im hitting yes. it doesnt do anything i hit no..nothing.now i see the green again

i want to ask you something..is my tablet bricked or no?i think no because if it was bricked it wouldnt get flashed..right? thank you!

Strange. Anyways, the device is still alive (not bricked) which is the good thing. Keep on flashing (hope it doesn't take too long to get one to work).

HI,
My dell streak gets stuck on dell logo and then reboots again and again. it was not rooted and was working fine on froyo 2.2 O2.
Ive tried installing the update package from recovery mode by selecting install update.pkg from sd card but i get an error saying e:can't mount update.pkg.
After searching i performed an memory test from fastboot; Sd card test passes but the internal memory test fails and gives an error: Cmd/Data test fail. a few days back my computer had a trojan virus and it was converting the folder into shortcuts. I dont know for sure but i think it could have been the cause of this problem as i plug my phone to the pc almost everyday
ill be glad if someone can help me through this. plz can some1 help me through this.plz i really need my dell streak working ill appreciate any kind of help... Thank you

The trojan you are talking most surely affect only the SDcard, a friend of mine had the same issue on a different device.
I would recommend installing a custom Recovery like Streakmod, flash 366 bb and a ROM like DSC, Longhorn or LXdroid, as those mentioned have the universal kernel that don't check the BaseBand.
Totally wiping everything is a must!
Flashing recovery can be done easely using the MultiFlashing tool provided in the Android Development section, so all this mess wouldn't take more than 1 hour (with reading and wandering if it's safe - it is safe, ia assure you )
Hope this helps/works
hey buddy, when I enter the recovey mode, and will install a new rom or another option, the camera button does not work. What can I do?
Thank you for replying

Well, i will update the first post of my LXdroid ROM with a tutorial, if you want a fully funtional with the least amounts of bugs i will recommend DSC ROM.
But this is not required if you want to keep the original 2.2 firmware, as almost all the custom ROM's that i've talked about are 2.3.x.
the tutorial will be written, Your choice

i think you need to replace the internal sd....
http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Dell-Streak-Teardown/3512/1
once you have done that... just do the dell factory reset (white text black background menu)...
your phone should be able to start again

As far as i know, you can't possibly install update.pkg using custom recovery, you must install a stock recovery and after that you can flash the update.pkg as it is (update.pkg), changing the extension does nothing
Hope this helps.

Search the forum as there should be an article covering the process. In short, you either have to take the Streak apart, or cut away some of the plastic above the SIM card slot to get to the internal MicroSD.

I'm also stuck with this message however, I cannot run RSD because my battery is too low. How can I charge it if the phone does not even boot?
You have 2 options:
an external charger
a stripped USB cable
Both have been mentioned and discussed before.

If you have a spinning android you are in stock recovery, not TWRP. You need to "fastboot flash recovery.img" TWRP back on there.

[Q] GT P7500: Is it bricked or something?

Okay here`s the situation.
My GT-P7500 a.k.a p4 is having a problem. Whenever I boot up, it will freeze at the boot animation, and power off if not charging and go to the charging screen if is plugged. I was using SlimBean when I had the problem, flashed AOKP and still the same. Next, when I get to recovery, wiping data takes a looooooooooooong time and never finished (Seriously 3 hours and nothing). Wiping cache`s fine. Tried using TWRP but then I`m stuck on the TWRP Boot screen. I reverted back to CWM but still the same. Is it bricked or something? Is there any solution? I`m hoping for an answer ASAP. Thank you...

had the same issue on my p4wifi...it is a corrupted file.
1) you can odin a rom..this will wipe the data completely
or
2) try to flash the last rom you were successfully on..then wipe the sdcardthis will wipe the data completelyand cache..dalvik. Then try to boot it up.
If second option doesnt work( because of the dirty flash ). Then i would either use odin or push a rom to the device and do a clean install.
Just had a brain storm..you could use twrp file manager to delete files you dont need. Might get lucky and its something you downloaded recently. ( wasnt a twrp recovery when this happened to me )

So you cant use twrp's internal file manager...or are you saying you did and that process didnt work. Just wondering..the odin should definitely work. Just sucks to loose all your files..

Just for future reference..when you install a stock rom, like those from sammobile. It is usually needed to wipe data factory reset to get it to boot.

[Solved] Samsung logo keeps looping. I screwed up. Pleaaase help!

Hi good people! thanks in advance, I had a problem for about a month now where my phone (Note2) used to take about 15 min to boot, after trying many solutions, I read somewhere to delete ODEX files and after trying that in many ways I went to system/apps and deleted ODEX files there with Root Explorer which turned out to be a biiig mistake, it just stucks at the Samsung Logo for a few seconds before it starts again (only the logo, the phone doesn't reboot) and it stays like that forever. I'm in hell right now, I have some files I don't want to lose so I was afraid of factory reseting but after I was told that it won't delete them, I did but that didn't solve anything, I can't access download mode, I can access recovery mode however (not custom) I tried flashing a custom ROM but I just get "E: failed to verify whole-file signature" please help ! I'll be really thankful ! thank you !
EDIT: I hope this helps someone else, after trying everything, what eventually worked for me was the USB Jig, I was able to enter download mode and install a new ROM from there. good luck!

thank you so much ! the problem is I can't flash a custom recovery because I can't access download mode so I can't use my PC. Is there any other way ? the only thing I can boot to atm is stock recovery
I've tried flashing both a custom and a stock ROM from recovery using my SDcard and I get this message "E: failed to verify whole-file signature" flashing fails.
again I can't thank you enough for your help. I really appreciate it

Verification fails cause stock recovery is a secure recovery and can only flash samsung updates.
So,it verifies md5/signature.
Let it alone..
Just hold Home+power+volume down at the same time and see if phone boots to download mode.

No, never even knew it existed before I got this problem, unless I booted it when I rooted the phone which I don't remember cause it was a long time ago.
I did however boot to recovery mode multiple times
Hey man I just want to thank you again, you're awsome for actually taking the time to help, thank you

TRY entering Download Mode
Entering download mode is very simple. First you will need to turn off your device. Once it’s off, you need to press this button combination: volume down, power button and home button. Keep them pressed until the download mode shows up.
