Using any of the Froyo ROMs, what apps FC on you?
Stock 351 - rooted
NONE
Everything I use works fine, no FCs.
Same here, don't have anything giving me any force closes at the moment.
Running StreakDroid 1.9.0, perfmod and OCd to 1267 and not having any troubles with any apps
Stock 351 cleaned from engeneering stuff and bloatware + 354 kernel.
None. Really, I can use device for weeks without any problems.
I use gMaps, gApps alot, no probs with Phone/GPRS/GPS/WiFi, except WiFi somehow won't reconnect to same SSID, for example when leaving office for a smoke (signal lost) and return back (signal is present, but no autoconnect). No claims from daughter playing numerous games.
DJ_Steve's - game Splode gets FC.
I don't have any FCs either using Longhorn. What I am trying to do is some initial testing of future updates of my ROMs for compatibility. I did previously, on the voice settings but have fixed that.
So I should have asked, for those that are getting FCs on a froyo ROM, what app is it?

Hi! I just flashed CyanogenMOD 7.0.0 RC1 Gingerbread NIGHTLY for the Droid Eris
(Thanks for the ROM !)
But I am having problems with restoring my apps. All the apps says "Download unsuccesful."
Anyone having the same problem?
I had that happen with a few of my apps when I upgraded... I went in the market and they were all listed under my apps so I had to click install manually
Another time I had 2 hang forever at installing and a reboot fixed it.
Hope it helps!
I have always found it best to manage my own apps and not trust Google backup.
I just save the the apks to a folder and reinstall them. (This is also nice for having a variety of apps on hand to choose from and not be taking up space or relying on a data connection. And for archiving things you might forget about.)
Going from 2.2 to 2.3, there are a few idiosyncrasies with restoring data.
If I must have app data saved, I use Titanium Backup, but sparingly; user dictionary, wifi passwords, bookmarks, note everything. That's about it.

Yes, I believe that if you read through the GSB thread in total you will find it is a very common problem. It happened with me as well with 1.2. Each of these installs had a notification; I just clicked them, reinstalled from there, and all was set.
I had this issue for a few apps. Going through manually fixed the issue. Sadly, the keyboard app I was used to using wasn't compatible with Gingerbread, and GPS was flaky, so I switched back to Froyo.
On 1.5 is anyone else having issues with videos from the gallery and YouTube not playing from time to time? Have to reboot to get it back working.

Anybody else have issues w/ the Camera in Stock MIUI Rom? From the Camera, when I click on the thumbnail (bottom left) to go to Gallery, it takes a while to load (white screen until then) and when I go back to Camera, it often gives an error 'Can't connect to camera' and dies
I've been running MIUI for a few days now and I'm a heavy user of everything in the UI.
I had a few problems with the camera at first, now I don't for some reason. Used to be slow showing gallery from camera app like you stated, I re flashed it twice because the new version came out with the CM7 camera but I didn't like it so I flashed back to the MIUI v3 without the CM7 camera.
I've had less problems with the entire rom in general since I uninstalled setcpu and didn't OC the phone. It's still crazy fast and now I don't have as many issues, used to freeze like 2-3 times a day and I had to reboot the phone because of it. Now that doesn't happen since I uninstalled the OC stuff.

Thanks strange. I don't have SetCPU. May be I'll try to reflash the rom. Overall I like this. Is the look and feel for this rom specific to the 2.3.7 or has MIUI customized the settings menu, etc
Anybody else has issues w/ MIUI stock camera .. please advise
I flashed CM7 latest Kang build. I don't know much about modding in general, but enough to install and update to latest builds.
At any rate, here are my problems (more to come as I remember and encounter):
- Google Maps FCing
- YouVersion Bible apps FCing
- WiFi slow/unable to reconnect after wake
#3 is the most annoying.
Any suggestions? Thank you!
I just tried to open Maps and first try resulted in a FC. 2nd went fine, 3rd FC'd again, but it seems to be working consistently now...odd. WiFi is strong on old stock modem (H7). No other problems with other apps.

I just tried maps three times. Same ROM as you. Didn't FC at all. The only thing that FCs for me is the DSP manager.
So what could be the problem? Is it the app? Or the ROM? What? Wish it would be all buttery smooth with no problems...
I am running jt1134's Vanilla GB. The problem started this morning. I woke up and checked my phone and it was stuck on the scrolling ANDROID screen. So I tried pulling the battery to no avail. I then wiped everything and rebooted and it worked. It first FC'd Android itself so I restarted. Then it worked fine. Except now it will FC things like Yahoo Messanger, GMail, Angry Birds Rio a Swype keyboard and possibly a few other things. It is really annoying to say the least.
So does anyone have any idea on how to get this thing back on track? If not, does someone have a suggestion for a different ROM that is more stable, but hopefully still Vanilla GB. I do plan on moving to ICS when it is GTG. Thank you for any input.
Clear app cache...your datadata folder is probably full
How do I clear the app cache?
Ng cache cleaner from market.
I fixed the problem by putting PW on it. It's ok. PW does have much better battery life. But I don't like the fuzzy interface. I tried to get CM7 working but our just kept failing on me. If anyone has a sure fire way to make it work let me know.

Again, You can either try clearing app cache, delete some apps, or go to rootzwiki and look up jt's fix for it.

Hello
I was using CM7 ROMs and few days ago moved to Omega aokp
with the cm ones I used to have a problem with the phone freezing and then rebooting itself, usually when an app tried to use data when there's no signal and sometimes just by scrolling in the music library. also with the market but that's a known bug I think with gb versions
now with the Omega rom I don't seem to have the problem as often and it's not happening on the same occasions but sometimes when on an app (mostly online games) the app would freeze (and not auto reboot like it was on cm) so I need to manually reboot.. also the online games seem to work slower (both with wifi and data no matter the speed) and behave a bit weird with the touch
maybe the games are not yet working good with 4.04 but not sure
can it be a bad root?
and if so, which is the recommended way to root? didn't do that for awhile
Revert to stock and factory reset. If that doesn't resolve your problems, contact the developers of whatever games you're using.
will I need to root again after that?
