Network unlock and dismiss button only when trying to unlock samsung with Claro carri
I Have the same situation here . It looks like it is with all the phones that are under Claro in Puerto Rico. Even thus we have an unlock key , there is no way to enter it since when you boot it with another SIM card it only shows a "Network Lock " message keylock pad logo and a "Dismiss" buttom. So no where to enter the codes. Can anyone please help or I will need to sell my galaxy to a Claro subscriber.
Thanks

same here what I need to do for ask me the code? ??
Hi dev
I did all that using the Unlock sim application by chanfire.
1. I use Odin
2. Use superoneclick
3. Run the Galaxy unlock sim app
4. got my code and write it down.
5. Reboot phone with ATT sim card
6.Phone reboot with a keylock pad screen, "Network locked" and the only thing theat let me to get off that screen is a buttom that reads "Dismiss"
There is no way to enter codes , no place at all. I wonder if there is something claroin PR did to the phones ?

Why you didn't just buy the int'l version of the galaxy SII like many of us have done here?
I did not because i received this unit from a claro user that was transfer to India and he sold it to me (2 weeks ago) , that is why . But I will be selling it to any claro user who might want it since I cant get thru all this and then I will buy an international one.
Thanks any way for everything . Looks like there is no way to go around this.
put in a foreign network so
card, and it'll give you emergency call only screen, punch it in there

I think you should contact your SIM card provider (telephone company) and ask for the unlock code (PUK) which is linked to your SIM card subscription and how to use the code to unlock.

A SIM card is locked by 2 or 4 passwords
PIN1
PIN2
PUK1
PUK2
PIN1 and PIN2 are programmable by the end user the code is 4-8 digits long usually you have 3 attempts to get the code right, if you lock PIN1 or PIN2 out you then need the PUK1 or PUK2 which is the PIN UNLOCK KEY which is an 8 digit code provided by your Service Provider get this code wrong 10 times and its time to buy a new SIM card
Well this depends on what kind of "lock" you mean. A SIM card can be password protected (usually 3-6 characters long) by going into the Security Settings on your phone which is usually where you can chgange your phone's lock as well if it has one.....if you enable a SIM password this password is saved onto the SIM card itself which is a good security issue because if somebody steals your SIM card they can't just simply put it in a new phone and be ready to go....they'd have to know your SIM password in order to even get the phone to fully load up and connect to the network. Another thing that can be done is a SIM card can be locked due to someone putting in a wrong password too many times....if you ever get to this screen on a cell phone call customer care because if you try too many times you will fry your SIM card which would mean you have to shell out another $20 or so.....if that doesn't sound like what you meant than to my knowledge the answer is no but otherwise I hope this helps
So according to this......
the password is stuck in my x10....
which i cannot erase, or change......
coz my sim is working on other cells.......
so, wat should i do now...???
Plez Got no proper solution till now.....
M restless without my x10.....
Hi all,
I have a strange problem with my phone. Hope someone will be able to help me.
I was not sure if my phone is unlocked when I came on holiday. Bought and put a different provider sim card and there was no signal. Also showed nothing to type unlocking code, so I thought that maybe something with a new sim card is wrong.
I bought a second card from another provider to be sure. On the screen appeared: enter sim network unlock code or something like that. ok so I have to unlock.
Now the strangest thing. when I put back my old sim card (o2), on the screen appeared again: enter sim network unlock code!
Since then I can not use the phone because it still asks for the unlock code.
I tried to change the soft but still do not have signal and no longer asks for the unlock code. anyone know how to force a window to enter the code?
I tried unlocking code from a cellunlocker but not working and and when i switched on my mobile is showing invalid SIM card.
someone has any ideas of what i can do with it?
sry for my english
Hello,
I got stuck on the PUK code screen and couldnt find the code even calling my operator.
I just want now to back up my files using the mount USB storage options from the recovery menu , but when I hit that option the drive doesnt appear on the computer.
Any help would be appreciated.
And also , can I pass that PUK code screen if I flash a new room???
Thanks!

PUK code is your SIM/carrier related.
Nothing to do with phone.
Ask for assistance from your carrier operator, they will provide you the code.

Contact your operator to get the PUK code. They will definitely provide you that. Flashing ROMS will not solve the problem. It's a SIM Card problem. You can try removing your SIM Card from the phone and then try to reboot it. I am not sure that it will work or not but trying is the onl option.
Thanks for the replies...
I contacted them and they gave a 4 digits puk code when I need 8 digits , after like 2 hours calling them I went to the store and they gave me a new sim card for free.
All good now.
Hello there, I want to unlock this phone but I can't find the PUK code... when I try to open the phone it says:
"Sim network pin blocked.Enter pin network PUK" , is there anyway to find the password ;

If its your phone you must have set the sim lock, therefore you must know the pin....
If its your phone then call your carrier and they will give you it.
If its not your phone, there's nothing you can do without the previous owner, and his/her details to get the PUK code.
