[CONTEST] Custom Kernel Boot Screen Submissions for nAa Kernel - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

NOTE: Please don't spam this thread with unusual and unnecessary posts. Do not post here until you have something useful to contribute.
Hey guys, I thought we should start a Custom Kernel boot screen submission for the nAa Kernel. I like the new boot screen, but I think it could be much better.
What I mean to say can be understood if you look here and here.
Do let me know what you think about it.
Here are the technical requirements:
Static image (as a wallpaper)
256 colors
Height -> 320 px (?)
Width -> 240 px (?)
BMP format
The picture may refer to/have text -> "nAaKernel", "XDA developers", "Xperia", "Android"
The bootscreen/image must be attached in ur post to this thread.
We will then have a voting so that we know what you think would be the best boot screen and it will be implemented (right nAa? )
Here's what he said :

Hope to see some good designs!
Best,

Reserved for future use.

Hi every one, i want to modify the nAa's kernel boot screen because the logo is too retro... :/ like a hacker logo and all the people says that my phone sucks ^^
I wish setup this logo:
i.imgur.com/lhyEQ.png
Is colorful, modern... says Xperia and has in the background the android logo.. also is designed by one xda user... im sorry i dont remind his/her nick (but if someone says who designed it, i add his/her nick).
Info about my android:
Im using Semc debrand engine rom, with nAa-11 Kernel rom on my Xperia x8.
Rooted // Baseband 015 //
Thanks, best regards and happy march!

I don't have any knowledge to do this, but it should have a XPERIA written on the center (XPERIA font, of course. Talking about this, anyone have this font as tff anywhere? I can't find it.) and some taste for GB, ICS and Timescape UI (from ICS Beta). Some background that does it. And nAa credits of course.
Summarizing:
- GB/ICS background with touches of Timescape UI, darker (So it don't destroy my eyes on some reboot at night).
- XPERIA logo (center)
- make.believe under it (the SE slogan) (Center, right under logo)
- "By NobodyAtAll" (bottom)
- Info about actual kernel version (under the By nAa thing)
Something like this would be nice.

Some suggestions for you guys, if you wanna have my ROM the fastest:
1) When installing my ROM, if you can, don't do any backup - I know and everyone too I think, that every backuping from older/other ROM can cause some issues or lags - it depends of files, which you restore.
2) If you install my ROM give them some 1 hour to aplicate all scripts/tweaks for amen, don't install any addons etc. - just light system.
3) Now after 1h install this addons what you need/what you like and test my ROM for next 4 hours - play with frequency, play with all apps, feel free to restart 2/3 times or more and do everything you can do, but still remember that device can lag sometime on this 4/5 first hours - after this - it will be the fastest demon you ever saw
4) First booting after flash ROM via xRecovery can (BUT NOT MUST) cause WLOD or bootloop. Don't be afraid - just replace battery and run phone again - everything will be just fine.
5) I suggest you to delete Setup Wizard after installing ROM - can't do this myself, cause it broke camera - if you do this youself after aplicate all ROM camera still will be working like a charm - don't know why this happening -.- . I want to add something too - Setup Wizard have lag after choose language - just skip it please (after choosing lang.), everything will be awesome and brilliant, but only this setup not ;/. Can't repair it, beacuse too many things was moded/deleted/edited, but I think you don't really need this, you can delete it as I said .
6) If you don't wanna "crazy shaking" itself about widget (after you pinch-to-zoom on wallpaper), just install Playstation Certificate, BUT flash it like last file - it will fix it. And one more - I suggest install it, beacuse it has one "script" inside, and this can optimize some RAM .
nice bro ! I can't wait for your release....

The best and the fastest ROM for X10. As I wrote in first post - go to my channel on YT and check mini-presentation of this. Cheers.
As I good heard ZMOD is not based on stock 2.3.3 ROM, am I right? If yes - then no - can't do this. Second thing is I don't know how other ROM will take all this scripts/tweaks/tricks. So no way I think - just wait for DiXperia and test it - you will see how it runs in real time.

glad to see a new face here on x10 dev section...
@kinglargo, yeah, it's my video BUT it's not the same tweaks like on my ROM - some can be done, something not - this tricks what I talk can't be "ported" - those which are in Zdzihu ROM on that video are only few, nothing big progress, but visible .
BTW: some update in first post, if someone wanna read go there .

which phone do you have? Because if you mean for "theme" a file for Themechooser (.apk) in this forum there are some different, that works welll (you can have icons, menù, appearance like xperia S style) and works with minicm7.
I have used this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1652113
the only bug is if you installed only the theme apk (like I'm) that on AlarmClock visualization disappear some part of visualization. This is the only bug that I have found.
I hope that helps.
Check this out! Its Xperia S theme. Not fully compatible to U20i LDPI yet but you can still check it out (subscribe the thread for updates)

[BOOTANIM][GO/P/SOLA/U] Smoother Intro Boot Animation + Alternating Boot Animations

Anyone who has installed the recently released Jelly Bean update will have noticed that the Xperia logo is now static.
I was annoyed at having to watch two static images on boot, so I took the images from the older firmware and made a replacement introductory animation.
I've made a preview so you can decide if you want it without having to go through the trouble of installing it, see the attached image below.
The only image that has been modified is the one in the generic1 folder; everything else has been left as-is. All pngs have been compressed using Ken Silverman's PNGOUT utility.
This is packaged in a CWM-compatible format, so manually installing it requires extracting bootanimation.zip from it first.
Since this is merely a boot animation, non-JB users can install it with no issues.
Credits:
Sony for the images used (and for releasing the JB update).
despotovski01 for his excellent tutorial on modifying bootanimations.
Ken Silverman for his highly-efficient PNGOUT tool.
TGRMN Software for their awesome bulk rename utility.
stifilz for uploading the stock Xperia Tablet S boot animation.
eddrowe for uploading the stock Xperia T boot animation.
Rhamon's for requesting the Xperia P versions.
miunkwn for requesting the Xperia sola/U versions and providing me with the files I requested.
Edit (9/5/13):
I attempted to eliminate the brief blank screen between the Sony logo vanishing and the boot animation actually starting as well, but was unable to - it actually ended up looking even worse since there's apparently no way to prevent that (should really have checked that first before going through the trouble of extracting kernel.sin-ramdisk/logo.rle, but oh well). :/
Update (15/5/13):
I've made two additional variants that alternate between differing boot animations in each cycle. See the attached images below for the previews. They are shown in the following order:
smooth intro + stock JB animation | smooth intro + alternating stock JB & Xperia Tablet S Cosmic Flow animations | smooth intro + alternating stock JB & Xperia T Cosmic Flow animations
Personally, I prefer the variant with the Xperia T's Cosmic Flow animation - those glowing particle effects really do make it look cooler. Unfortunately, it's also the largest set, weighing in at a hefty 4.10 MB.
Update (16/5/13):
At Rhamon's request, I've made versions for the Xperia P. I'm not adding new previews for them though since they're basically the exact same sequences, just in larger scale for the P's bigger screen. Look for the zip archives suffixed with _p for the versions targeted at the Xperia P (e.g. smooth_intro_bootanim_jbxts_p.zip). As with those for the go, these are packaged in CWM-compatible formats, so manual installation requires extracting bootanimation.zip from them first.
Update (20/5/13):
I've also made versions for the Xperia sola and Xperia U at miunkwn's request. As with those for the go and P, these are packaged in CWM-compatible formats, so manual installation requires extracting bootanimation.zip from them first. Look for the zip archives suffixed with _sola_u for the versions targeted at the Xperia sola and Xperia U (e.g. smooth_intro_bootanim_jbxts_sola_u.zip).
Minor Update (22/5/13):
It turns out that my little script had a bug where it was automatically zipaligning bootanimation.zip, it bloats the archives and doesn't really provide any benefit whatsoever (even the stock firmwares' own bootanimation.zip archives are unaligned). For those who have already installed this boot animation, please re-download and re-install them again.
I also took the opportunity to fix the CWM package filenames on the alternating variants for the Xperia go so they now correctly read _jbxts.zip and _jbxt.zip (previously _xtsjb.zip and _xtjb.zip respectively; merely a cosmetic change with no impact).
Added two variants with alternating animations; bumped for update visibility (was on page 5).
So awesome! Can you make it for Xperia P screen please?
Sure, but I'll need you to upload the bootanimation.zip from the P's GB/ICS firmware (not JB - I already have that one) so I can generate the smoothed intro from those - unless you don't want that, that is. The Xperia go ones would probably look minuscule on that massive screen, plus upscaling looks terribad in general. Since I already have the stock JB bootanimation.zip for the P, I'll start working on the looping sequence first. Disregard, see edits below.
Edit:
Since the Xperia T's boot animation frames are exactly the same size as the P's, I'll simply keep them as-is (i.e. I'll leave them untouched as .jpg files) and merely do renames to keep them in order.
The Xperia Tablet S' boot animation, on the other hand, needs to be resized, so I'll convert everything into .png files to preserve them and prevent further quality degradation (JPEG compression discards data with each compression pass, so I was pretty dismayed when I noticed that Sony used it in its newer boot animations :/ ).
Edit 2:
Okay, I've got the stock bootanimation.zip from the P's GB firmware, will work on the smooth introductory sequence.
forget about it then
Hmm, that's odd since my script only alters the permissions of the bootanimation.zip alone and nothing else. Possibly coincidence?
I've Downloaded the XT boot animation for P and it Works great!
Thanks!
It's good to hear that it's working fine for you and that you like it, that means my little idea of mixing the animations is working out pretty well.

Do not quote the op
Kindly edit the post as it makes the post unnecessarily longer
Thank You
Can you make one for Xperia U?
I'll need you to upload the stock bootanimation.zip from the U's GB/ICS firmware and its JB firmware so I can make a complete version for it (although I already have larger ones from the P's boot animations, I try to avoid scaling images and stick with the pristine ones for maximum quality).
Edit:
Whoops, brainfart - just remembered that the Xperia U and sola phones don't have official JB firmwares, so I'll generate resized versions from the P's boot animation. Now I'll only need you to upload the GB/ICS one.
I have got a Xperia Z bootanimation for Xperia U, the alternating boot animation seems better.
It will be fine if you can make a good quality bootanimation like Xperia T, if it is easier than making alternating. Will PM you the link
Added Xperia sola and Xperia U versions; bumped for update visibility (was on page 2).
Thanks a lot for making a bootanimation as I requested. Looking nice.
Working perfectly on Xperia Go Stock JB 6.2.A.1.100

Transform your GT-S5282 to a 85% Sony Xperia device

Requirements:
1. A rooted Samsung Galaxy Star.
2. CWM version 6.
Steps:
1. Install Xperia Pirates ROM. For help go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2748747. 80% of job done. Now its time to do small things that really matter.
2. You can install stock Sony Apps (like a Normal apk). Unfortunately I could not make stock phone and messaging app on our phone. Apps are included in attachments.
3. Although the ROM themes the elements, the progress bar is not that Xperia like, so install Smooth system progressbar (Xposed Module).
4. The Lockscreen Remains unchanged, install Xperia lockscreen from this post, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2687654.
5. What's still missing is the bootanimation, unfortunately I could not find Xperia bootanimation, if you find it, please comment with the link
Some instructions to make the ROM more meaningful and beautiful
1. Change android version to 4.4, because by default it comes with 4.4.2 xperia pirates, but on launching the easter egg, you find 4.4. You can change it by editing build.prop.
2. Keep the font size of the home screen and app drawer at 13.9. you can change it in launcher settings.
3. You can use seeder to reduce lag.

Today I will explain how to install the theme SamSonya v4.8.2 , because we don't have any customs roms or full modded themes to flash through recovery, we will go with "Superuser mod" ! ;- ) I tried last night on my Z3 and it worked perfectly !
If you are not sure of what you are doing; don't go further !! You alone will be responsable in case of problems with your phone ! And above all , remember to make a backup before any manipulations !! I'm not the author of this theme, i'm just sharing this beautiful theme to the Z3 community.

PS 2: Feel free to play with the settings of the Serajr application to modified even more your phone ! For example, go to Serajr app, then go to System UI, activate it, scroll down a little, check thefollowing boxes :
- "applying the colors to the content"
- "Colored softkeys buttons"
etc...

Are you trying on Odex?
Basiacally its developed for ZL/Z and should change about 90-95% of system interface. On another models superusermod will be required. Tested and fully adapted for: ZL, Z, ZR, Z1, SP, M2Dual, Z2.
Xperia Z2 (with latest 4.4.4) and Z3 are not fully adapted jet. (dialwindow and may be something else)
This variant of theme is for 4.3-4.4.x roms with root, deodex, blackthemed.
Up to now there are 5 variants for blackthemed roms and 3 variants for light.
Full list of changing items you can see while theme applying.
Sorry for english.
I'm still odex, i try to flash the de-odexed firmware .93 on my phone but when i reboot my phone just messed up, i try several times but no luck... So for now, i keep it that way.
I know that Xperia Z3 wasn't include in the model phone list compatible for this theme, but i thought i might give a shot, and even if all the system are not themed for now, it's quite a start and most importantly, it doesn't messed up the phone, so that's a good thing ! I mean no FC or whatsoever...
Maybe if someone have enough knowledge to adapt this theme for our Z3, it will be great !
And by the way, i love the blue keyboard on your screenshot ! Wish i have it on my Z3... That's why we need to get this theme on our Z3.. I'm starting to think that rom custom development will never comes out for our precious...
I think the best would be to take black theme for Z2 as a base, as the system it's almost similar with Z3...
I`m the author of this theme.
Ab keybord: check keyboard skin settings. Now you are using 2-d skin, try 3-d (dark) variant. It should be fully colored by Theme.
Sorry but what is "ab keyboard" ? Can you provide me a link ? That would be easier.

Settings - Language & Input - keyboard settings - skins - you will see 3 skins. Dark skin should be fully themed

The theme isnt contain 3d party aplications, all changes only in system.
Icons you can find inside theme at the folder "assets"
Do you think that we can manually replace the stock icons by those from your themes ?
EDIT : Nevermind.. I tried to replace "Conversation.apk and¨Phonebook.apk" and it didn't worked as i expected
Would it be possible for you @runels just to take a look to help us to make this theme fully or as least a little more compatible for our Z3 that it is actually ? I can be your tester, and i can provide you the files you need
Even a donation from me is possible if necessary
Why not? If you have some experience on it.
Adaptation to Z3
1- need root, deodex, superusermod and mostly preferable blackthemed phone interface. In this case you should see maximum changes. I think only incall window isnt adapted to Z3. All other items should work perfectly.
2-send me max. number of screenshots where something isnt changing.
Only after this I will see the variants.
Well i'm not a noob, far from it, but i never developped anything, but i like to test it on my phone !!
This theme is update to v8.4.3
Sent from my D6502 using XDA Free mobile app
Yes i know, i have to update the OP.
I already installed it and sadly, it doesn"t change anything... It's exactly themed like the v8.4.2
Any icons are changed...and the blackground of settings, phonebook and messages is (sorry to say this, as i respect the developper of this theme) quite ugly. Maybe it's because it's not fully compatible for our Z3 yet that it looks like that but i hope someone will change it very soon !
I blakthemed the phone isn't possible yet without Custom Rom like "Criskelo Rom", or maybe by modding the system framework.apk
First of all, you need to read the Theme changelog. Thats why you cant find changes. All current versions and changelog: http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=436246&view=findpost&p=28412348 (sorry, but only in russian for the moment)
Current verson 8.5 (for blackthemed)

https://cloud.mail.ru/public/2266dcc4c4ca/SamSonya-blue-v8.5.apk
Thanks for your answer
But what the difference between those 2 links you just provide ? For me, it looks like these 2 themes are the same.
Maybe you can help me @runels, i'm not deodexed right now cause i didn't succeed to get the deodexed .93fw working on my Z3... If i was deodexed, do you think that the theme will worked better ? I mean, myabe more stuff will be themed ?
Or do i have to get absolutely Blackthemed settings framework/Custom rom for the theme to be successfully working ?
