Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help me with this. I've tried doubleTwist but the thing makes duplicates of all of my songs and it's annoying. I've also tried songbird but sometimes the app just stops working and I have to reinstall it again.
I don't know what else to do, if someone can help I would appreciate.
Thanks

Hey i have only just purchased my Galaxy10 tablet, i have put a few songs on it but it still says in the 'music player' that there are 0 songs. I am able to listen to these songs individually in 'my files' but i cannot open anything else up (e.g. i cant listen to music while working on polaris office).
Is there something im missing that will easily fix this? or is it a problem with all the galaxy tabs.
Thanks, Nic.
I mentioned thi in your other post, but make sure the music is placed in where the player looks for music. I had this issue with different players looking in different folders and not showing ones the other players would. There's another suggestion in the other post, but I forget what it was. something about clearing the cache in settings/apps/music player you're using. I think.

thanks for the reply, i have tried moving my files around, still no luck. I also read the other suggestion on my other post and i cleared the cache/data of the music player and still didnt make a difference. ill continue trying to fix it though, and hopefully will eventually get it .
Thanks Heaps for putting me that one step closer, Nic.
Post what music player you're using. That will help too.

im using the one that came with it, which is 'Music Player'. I also tried using 'Winamp' but still had no success, if you know of any better apps to use for this it would be greatly appreciated.
any one have any other suggestions on what i could do to fix this problem??
It would be helpful to know where the files are located and what format they are.
Also try moving your music to /sdcard/Music.
hey, umm all my music is in .mp3 format. and the music is in 'my files/music'.
would it make a difference if i used itunes to sync the music from my pc to the tablet? (at the moment i am using 'windows media player' which is up to date)
is your tab rooted? if so, try use root explorer, find the folder and make sure there is no .nomedia file in that folder.if so, delete it and try open music player back
Shouldn't matter, no. Move it to the folder I said and see what happens. Music player is probably looking for them to be in that folder.
ssss
hey, I had the same issue. the fix is simple, go to apps--> Music player and you'll find you music there. if you open the music player in the tray on the bottom of the tablet you wont find your music.

Next time this happens, try resetting the Media Storage in the All Apps section of the Settings. This will force the device to rescan your sd cards to re-catalog your media... Yours was a bit slow to do this fuction I guess... ^_^
On my Atrix, whenever I use jokersax CM9 or AOKP, every time my phone reboots, my music duplicates. I use my phone alot for music and have over 600 songs on it, so this is becoming a problem. Is it just me having this problem, or are there others too. Does anyone know a fix?
Me too... i only have around 90 songs in my phone and now in my music player its 300+++ songs!
The thing is the songs are not physically there, when u try to play it it wont play and player skips it!
How do we fix this issue?
I don´t really know what to do with the stock player to fix that. If you´re using Poweramp, which i highly recommend, this happens because at default settings it scans folder in more than one mount point and being so, it ends up with duplicated information. To fix, it´s just a matter of going into settings and select which folders are to be scanned.
Hope that helps...
Try pulling stock MIUI music player from my latest build and use that. If the Music apk is borking, this may work well. It's a pretty nice player, too
Try using stock player from a blur rom, i dont have that issue.
Anyone have any ideas why when I reboot my phone is lose my music? It's an all stock phone. I use the Google play music app. It's happened from day one with the phone. Gets kinda frustrating. Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure the exact cause, I know the Play Music app stores the music files in a cache file on the SD card, do you have an app running that clears up the cache files? I prefer to have my music stored locally as I don't have a fast data connection to stream it constantly. Also saves on battery.
My AT&T HTC One M7 Is really REALLY bumming me out. I use BitTorrent to download music to my phone and it all works fine, everything shows up in my default music player like it has been and should be...untill about a month ago. Some artists just started disappearing. Now everything disappears. I've tried going into the Google music player to see if it was just the default but no luck there. even tried downloading music players off the app store and not a single one says I have music. I've tried factory resetting but with unfortunate luck. The amount of frustration I have been feeling. Does anyone know how to fix this? By the way, my phone is not rooted
