hello guys,
i have x10 rooted with universalandroot. i dont have market. i m on r2ba024.
what should i do because market enabler prog and market fix for r2ba024 couldnt help to install vending.apk .
i ve installed android sdk with usb support. i made changes system variable "C:\android\tools\" i put SDK to there.
i m taking operation not permitted errors. and when i try to run r2ba024 market fix i get this screen.
h t t p : / / yfrog.com/5u31279287j
what should i do?
150 view and no comment? interesting
update: vending.apk is in sdcard and i want to copy it to system/app folder but
astro file manager cant do it because file permissions are not allowed. i cant push anything to phone with cmd at my pc i get permission not allowed messages.
win 7 64 bit - java and java se installed. adb running. adb devices sees my phone.
???
Perhaps just repair through SEUS and root again after?
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
If you are rooted, use Root Explorer.
It has a toggle button for ro/rw (read-only/read-write) that you can use for for example the system folder.
And then you can copy stuff to your likings.
thank you for advice , i ve done what you said to me but ;
1-i thought if i push vending apk to system/app directory i would able to use it ; but i didnt.it didnt appear.
2-i ve mounted rw with root explorer but i keep getting "cannot open for write : permission denied" message.when i try to use r2ba024 market fix.
3-i coudnt install vending.apk inside root explorer or anyother way while rw was mounted.
there is alot of files and folders inside vending.apk. what should i do?
to be honest, the quickest and easiest way way would be to repair through pc companion or SEUS and take it from there. It should work
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
no luck ! i ve repaired x10 2 times with seus. i coundnt pass permission denied barrier.
putting vending.apk to system/app didnt work.
market fix with cmd in windows didnt work.
i guess i m going to give up.
is there an one click application to install market?

Open the zip file and find out what files have been modified, replace the files inside zip with the files from the original ROM and flash thru recovery. If adb is up (likely), you can patch these files via adb (adb remount, adb push ...).
Hope it helps.
I've got a cheap Chinese tablet (WM8850-MID) running Android 4.0.3 based on WonderMedia 8850 processor.
It's not rooted.
Here's what i found:
/system/xbin/su is present:
-rwsr-xr-x 1 0 0 68528 May 14 11:07 su
But I can't run su in a terminal:
su uid 10064 not allowed to su
Using adb.exe I have the same problem with uid 2000.
There is a script /system/etc/init.sh which is called a boot time, but If I modify and push it via adb it won't execute (lost execute permission)
adb reboot-bootloader does reboot the device, but it does not stay in bootloader mode and just go straight to Android.
I'm not sure where to go from here. Is there a way to root that device ?
Try ./adb root to run as root.
Use oneclickroot.

I forgot to mention "adb root" says I'm already root.
If I copy files with adb push, the owner is root, but If I use "adb shell" I'm user uid 2000.
This is a new tablet, but I'll give oneclick a try anyway. Thanks.
I've just tried SuperOneClick 2.3.1.0. It says it's already rooted because it can find /system/xbin/su, but I continued anyway. It can copy busybox (temp) but cannot change the permissions and it stops there.
Try resetting your tablet and if the su binary is stil there remove it. After resetting retry with superoneclick.

Thanks, but how do I delete it since I don't have the permissions? In case it's possible, is it safe to remove the su binary? I have no way to recover my firmware...
Use ./adb root to remove it because you will be root. After removing it reset your tablet to factory settings. It is safe because the su binary is not part of the os.
Then try rooting with oneclickroot.
Hope it works for you.
i also bought wm8850 tablet in china..can you teach me how to root in detailed its my first android device....i dont understand the other terms u are using....
Hi jallaine12gil,
I think that you should first try to root with oneclickroot. Post if it worked or not. Oneclickroot is a rooting program for android devices.
download the firmware. then find the android4.0.tgz file open it with 7zip, add the su file to system/bin folder and system/xbin manually.... then put the superuser.apk in the system/app folder then save changes.... then flash firmware from sdcard
if camera is in the top centre of the wm8850 tablet: in txt file
if camera is in top right of the wm8850 tablet: in txt file

Hi!
why not use RootBurner for WM8850? The rooting procces is similary to firmware update!
Extract the archive into sd card and insert into tablet and Power ON!

How to get adb working on the wm8850?
Hi, sorry to interject with something semi-unrelated, but how did you guys get adb working with the wm8850? I've added the vendor id to the ~/.android/adb_usb.ini on mac, but adb still can't find the device. I used 0x0ea0, is this what you guys used?
Any advice would be great!

Hi, friend
Sorry, how do you root??
Hi all, some of us allwinner device users find us having a clone n no firmware to download in case a custom ROM fails. Here how to save urself. Download any clones stock rom. If ur on ics dwnload ICS. Nw install n setup adb n pull ur whole tablets internals out. By using commands like adb pull system system. It will make a dir called system n pull ur system partion in. Nw fr da bootloader n boot we use cat to read nand partitions nandc n nanda. Su -c "cat dev/block/nandc > sdcard/boot.img" n sameway read nandc to a file bootloader.img.
Now wit any rom un/packing utility (i use image repacker) unpack the clone image. Replace the boot n bootloader files inside the unpacked livesuit img n chnge extension to .fex (if ur packing program has iso folder change there as well) no repack n flash. If it works on whole its cool. Else use adb to push modules from ur system folder to the rom ur running. Also push the etc folder to system/etc n push the hw folder in lib/hw to system/lib/hw. Nw reboot. It will work.
Nw fr a permanent solution. Use sunxi tools in ubuntu or any linux to 1st make the system.fex of the clone ROM to a system.fex file using SIMG2IMG. Nw mount it by using sudo mount -o loop system.img <system> nw in ubuntu u should type sudo nautilus n open the gui file browser in su mode. It makes changing files a bit easy. Nw frm ur backed up system folder copy the contents of vendor/modules lib/hw n etc to the mounted dir. Aftr ur done use MAKE_EXTFS to make a sparse fex file. Use make_ext4fs -s -l 500M -a system system newsystem.fex . It will make u newsystem.fex. Copy it back to ur unpacked rom. Replace it. Pack. Flash. U got ur stock rom running. (not actually,as u havent changed apps,do it if u want).
If u want u can make the ext4fs directly frm ur backed up system folder. Now copy the new fex file back.repack.flash. It will bring u ur true stock rom back. N on some livesuit images it corrupts the diskfs so da internal sd doesnt mount. (in eken T01A's ROM) the do the following. Open adb shell cd to dev/block the last nand partition is ur sdcard. Format it by using busybox mkfs.vat dev/block/nand(the last letter u saw in dev/block i.e. nandj). Then type vold. Ull get it mounted. Now u can hav peace of mind while flashing custom ROMs. Enjoy.
U will need things- tablet running stock ROM. U can get it frm a frnd also . Sunxi tools from github by amery. A linux box. A windows pc fr un/repacking the image. N common sense. I didnt goto very details abt da commands. U will need it there. N one thing to note u dnt even need a linux box if u hav a working tablet. In the system/bin folder u hav ur simg2img n make_ext4fs binaries. So u can do that part on a tablet. I leave this part fr u to figure out own ur own. N while ur at it,change ur stock bootanimation wit sumthing cool if u want. Copy it in system/media. If a file is already there then back it up.set permission to rw-r-r. Enjoy. Hope ull hit the thanks button.
where i can find stock rom??
i messed it up.
flash custom rom nuclear_pfdq88c-eng 4.0.4 IMM76D 20120821 test-keys and wifi not working.
AND THE TABLET IS NOT MINE!!! LOL!!!
Custom ROM for Ampe 96
I have an original ROM for my tablet (download here w_w.szampe.com/en/support_down.asp?id=1205
Can you help me creating a custom ROM with CMW recovery and some current android OS?
I am having xperia go jb locked bootloader.i have rooted jb by following @percy_g2 method of prerooted jb.I am having xplore and ROM Toolbox Pro installed and having superuser installed. When i try to copy any .apk to system/app,it shows rom toolbox pro has been granted superuser permisions 2-3 times then it says operation failed. I akso have xplore installed when i open root in it,it shows xplore has been denied superuser permissions.i also have set cpu, when i open it ,it also shows setcpu has been denied superuser permissions.io have also updates binaries. It also happened before,i had to flash ics, root it ,installed cwm, then flashing jb.zip and then again installing cwm,its avery long process.
can anyone tell me how to have a proper root or just tell me how can i copy files to system/app.I had no problems of root upto atleast 2-3 week after rooting jb ,but after that ,i had the same problem.
please anyone help me.
